I was a patient of the internal medicine section of this clinic. While the reception staff and any nurse I worked with here was amazing - both doctors I had through this clinic were not within the standards I expect from anyone in the field of caring for people. Between a doctor forgetting they had been my doctor for the past 6 months and telling me we had never met in person and another doctor quitting my pain management prescription with no notice on a medication that should be tapered down in dose all the while telling me that exercise would be the best pain management option for me - I ended up choosing to not work with this clinic any further. While working with both doctors here I felt that I was not seen as anything other than an overweight patient that needed to lose weight. I felt that they ignored the history of medical issues that appeared in childhood before my weight issues. I felt like they ignored the effort I was putting into my health. I felt like every appointment I was being judged and ignored. Even giving the benefit of the doubt on their intentions I can not ignore how their actions effected me. Overall while I believe the nurses and other staff are wonderful - I cant recommend anyone go here strictly on the basis of care I received from the doctors. I left almost every appointment feeling demoralized and dehumanized. When a doctor can't take the time to check a chart before seeing you or care to take any value out of your medical history and can't even respect the pain you are going through - I can't say they are a good doctor. Please save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. read more

Went in on a Friday because I was done feeling so crappy and decided to give this clinic a whirl since the clinic I had been going to was clear out in the Herriman/Riverton area. I was checked in quickly had a minimal 20-25 min wait and then got to be seen by Dr. Lodding. She was super attentive and informative. I left with a couple prescriptions and ideas to remedy my sinus issue. I feel like she really listened to me and that I was cared for. I will use this clinic in the future and take her recommendation for finding a primary physician from the list she provided me. read more

I took my twin 80 year old Aunts here to get checked out by a new Doctor. After sitting in the waiting room for a while, they came out upset while trying smile through their pain. After getting them home, I come to find out that their 'New Doctor' is in the habit of FAT SHAMING! Fat Shaming is racist, bigoted, highly inappropriate, and wrong!! A Doctor doing this to my Aunts? Dr Romney is my primary physician and I really like him, this is not about Dr Kent Christian Romney, this is about the front desk folks that have caused several delays and unexpected lost appointments! I've had my current Appointment for today 5/10/2019 since late January when I scheduled it leaving my last appointment. The staff at this location are not organized at all with appointments. In fact, I only have 4 appointments a year and in the past year, this is my 2nd issue with an appointment. The issue today was due to my doctor being out of town on vacation for the last 2 weeks and since the day he planned this vacation and the front staff new, no one has reached out to me in order to change the date. They have 1 telephone number of mine, which is a cell phone , that is never out of my pocket or further than 5 feet away. I called the front desk at 3:25pm for my 3:30pm appointment to let them know that I was a few blocks away but, the traffic was horrible and I would possibly be a few minutes late. The lady that answered passed the phone to someone else, but I could hear, "he's out of town" from the first lady. The next lady to get on the call with me, got my contact information and then told me that Dr Romney was out of the clinic until the next Friday and someone should have called me about this. NO ONE CALLED TO LET ME KNOW, and I live 20 miles away. Someone should have called me! I shouldn't have had to waste the end of my work day on someone's screw up! It's partially my fault, with a front office crew as disorganized as this one is, I should have verified that the appointment had no issues before spending my afternoon now waiting for an on call doctor that may or may not be able to take care of me. Is their no other places to complain that would reach a further and larger audience? More people need to know about this, so that the leadership of IHC clinics has more training for these folks to fix these issues. Like I said, I like my Dr, so I don't want to go anywhere else but, if this continues to happen, I'll be forced too. read more

I wouldn't come back to this clinic myself and definitely wouldn't bring my children here. I visited due to a cold I had that hadn't gotten better for over a month. The doctor I saw was extremely short with me, didn't look in my ears, nose or feel my lymph nodes. It felt like he was annoyed having to deal with me or like I was looking for something more than antibiotics. I left with a $150 bill after literally 3 minutes with the doctor and felt worse than ever. The following week after not being able to sleep due to worsening cough and throat issues I went to a different IHC facility. That doctor told me I definitely had a sinus infection that would NOT resolve on it's own and prescribed antibiotics and a nasal spray. Thankfully! I finally started to feel better. I obviously disputed the original bill, the billing department placated me and said they'd look into it but a week later I received a blanket refusal to adjust my billing dated the following day as the dispute. They obviously took zero interest in my complaint and do not care about bettering patient care. read more

I don't particularly care for this clinic, but it's the closest to me so I use their instacare and kidscare. I've had some pretty bad experiences at the instacare. Everything from misdiagnosis of pneumonia to five minute appointments. Wait times for a walk in are, on average, pretty good. The facility is clean as well. They have an onsite pharmacy and several doctors practice there, both GP and pediatric. read more

My mom was in town visiting me last week and she developed a sinus infection. I brought her here to get some relief from the sinus infection. The dr that saw my mom had already printed off papers about sinuses infections before he ever came in to see my mom. He told my mom he could see she was definitely sick but it would be unethical to treat my mom because she had only been sick for 3-4 days. He refused to give her any medication because he said she needed to be sick for 17 days before he can treat her. My mom had come to town to take care of me after a medical procedure I was scheduled to have. We were trying to prevent her from getting me sick after my procedure. None of that information seemed to phase the dr and he said is she's still in town after being sick for 17 days to come back and he would treat her. I think this guy doesn't even understand the word ethical. Refusal to treat a patient that is sick is unethical. read more

When having kids you visit the Instacare more than you would like. I've seen a lot of instacares in these past 9 years and by far this location is the best. Roxanne at the first desk is absolutely amazing. She greeted us with a warm friendly smile and made my son feel great even with his injury being minor. The clinic is conveniently located in Sugar house. The cleanliness of the clinic lead me to believe it was brand new. To my surprise it's been open for 8 years. The wait was longer than we had hoped, but it beats going to the ER waiting even longer. My tip: Bring a book to read because the wait could get long. read more

Went to the Instacare for bronchitis. Will never return here. Two hour process, a chest X-ray from 1970 to rule out pneumonia, and the dr tsk-tsking me for requesting antibiotics. Dr recommended over the counter. I could have just stayed home. The biggest issue: passive aggressive, rude staff. I think most people could handle a ridiculously long wait provided that the staff is friendly, but that was not the case here. read more

Being from LaLa land and still adjusting to the SLC winter weather, I felt my bronchitis was acting up and fluid going to my lungs. I decided on New Years Day to go this walk in clinic and have it looked at. I came in about 10am and was out by 1230pm with a prescription in hand. I paid a deductible of $205 because it is a new year :( I had a chest X-ray done and the doctor confirmed that I had no fluid in my lung. The other time I saw a doctor, he only listened me breathe and prescribed antibiotics. Anyway, overall a very good facility from the people at the front desk reception, who are very organized to the doctor's assistant who did my vitals, x-ray technician, and the doctor. Review your health insurance policy in terms of co-pays and deductible and do a separate yelp review on them. read more

Today my child (11 years old) was banned from Pediatrics. The providers chose to banned my child because we "missed" two appointments. Yes, one appointment I had to reschedule 48 hours before in November, I reschedule for December. Twice their office called me to reschedule because their doctors couldn't see my child in December TWICE and I agree without making a fuss. Today, I missed my appointment and they didn't show me the same kindness. The receptionist told me that my son was BANNED from there. What kind of business treat people this way? I am paying for them to provide me with health care. My family and I are taking our business somewhere else. This clinic will reschedule on you many times, as if your time wasn't worth anything; if you try to reschedule on them, there is a problem. I tried to make a formal complain and guess what? Nothing happened. I spoke with 4-5 people and nothing. What type of policy is this? Banning?! I am very disappointed of ALL the providers, managers, and patient services that are supposed to advocate for us at this location.They don't care for you or for me. This mob bully mentally is not what people need at the time of going to the doctor. Stay away from this business. The clinic and the providers have not empathy for their patients, so why should I give them my money? Remember that money talks, don't give them your money. read more

My kids are patients of Dr Rachel Baar at Memorial Pediatrics and have been since my oldest was born almost 8 years ago. She is phenomenal and so is her staff. We never have a problem getting in for an emergency (although knock wood those are rare) and can usually get in to be seen within a day or 2 for non-emergencies. Rachel is good to listen to our concerns and answer our questions. She remembers our kids and their names and their medical issues. She takes concerns seriously and has called to check up on one of them after a visit to Primary Childrens to make sure they were ok and settled (she called long after office hours). I've recommended her to every one of my friends and even strangers when they ask for recommendations. read more

I really like this clinic, and I like the doctors they have so far. I have been here for check ups and physical therapy. They are always very kind and helpful. Their instacare though, hmmm I feel like the doctors in InstaCare SUCK!!! My back was hurting, and all he told me is your back was hurting (As if I didn't know that) and don't eat Ketchup!! What the... Don't eat Ketchup?? Uuuum O.Kaaay! I will stop brushing my teeth with Ketchup, as If I do that.. Ok ok I'll stop going off about instacare. Physical Therapy is GREAT at the specific clinic, they are always awesome and helpful. I am pretty active, and I like fun sport and activities so I have been there for my shoulder and back. They have ALWAYS helped me recover, and get back to 100% The Family/Internal Medicine is always good too, I am always happy when I do my yearly check up, and they always take good care of me. I have no complaints with the quality of the care given at this clinic. Let me make that clear. However, the wait is terrible! I just took my daughter in for dislocated elbow and I was there for 2 hours before we got a diagnosis. Okay, I understand that it takes some time to take x-rays and to review them. However, each time I would walk out of the room the doctor was over talking to one of the receptionists/nurses, in the meantime I've been sitting in the room holding my daughter as she is crying in pain! There was no urgency to get my daughter care. I'm no doctor, but I think they could have gotten us taken care of in about an hour instead of two. read more

I just left our pediatricians office, Peter Lindgren, and am feeling profoundly grateful. Wether we are there for illness or injury he shares such honest heart company each time. He is fully emerged in the moment and engaging and addressing my child directly. He is an exceptional caregiver and physician; devoted, kind and a source of inspiration and courage. Came in and was quoted 45 minutes until I saw the provider, an hour and 20 minutes later the Dr came into the room and diagnosed me and was out of the room within 1-2 minutes tops. Two days later I'm back at the instacare for the same issue that is even worse now, on top of that, Intermountain wants to double dip into my insurance and co-pay costs even though it was their negligence the brought me back here. Go somewhere where they will actually take the time to look at your situation so you aren't paying twice for something that should have been taken care of more seriously. Like your health. Second time around: the wait times were still super off, but the Dr this time around seemed like she actually cared about my situation and actually put thought and effort into the visit. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are only ok if you don't have anything going on with your child, and just coming in for routine check-up. if you need a facility that will actually serve their purpose when something is going on and you actually need advice, guidance and care provided, which is the purpose of a doctors office, you won't get it here. The staff is short, rude and simply do not care about you or your child. When you call in with a problem, they advise that the nurse will call back and it can take up to "48 hours" for a call back! That's insane! And unheard of! Dr. Kevin Havlik in particular has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced in a pediatrician. Don't become a pediatrician if you have no desire for children. A very cold and insensitive man. He is very rude and never followed up on my child. He prescribed a medication that required a per-authorization, which took over 2 days until I finally called and the office said, the on call doctor could not take care of it and Dr. Havlik was out of the office and you need to speak with him or his nurse, WHO NEVER CALLED ME. I am a nurse and a patient should never have to wait for over 48 hours let alone 4 days for a medication which by the way was never taken care of by Dr. Havlik, instead following up on my child, he called me to leave a message about how I (the mother of a patient) was the rude one when calling to demand to speak to someone about my child's overlooked condition. AVOID HIM AND THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! read more

Average urgent care, usually 30-60 minute wait with okay physicians. Good primary care physicians and staff, but they're usually booked when you need one and you'll end up in urgent care anyways if you really need antibiotics... I see Dr. Belinda Trieu, who is very nice but gives the same sense of rushing through our meeting as most Intermountain physicians (younger docs having to pay off med school debt and meet company high company quotas is a byproduct of fee-for-service healthcare that Obamacare will improve as we shift towards capitation and Accountable Care Organizations). Facilities are newer, though I'm hesitant to touch anything in any clinic. Parking is under the building and behind, and I can usually find a spot. read more

I came here after a fall that injured my tailbone. The doctor that I saw was very sweet and he did not rush me in the slightest! He approached my injury with care and started me off with the most minimal options (avoiding an x-ray that he felt was unnecessary, recommending Ibuprofen as opposed to heavier pain medications that I had been recommended from another clinic). I appreciated the quick appointment and pleasant staff. Hopefully I won't need to visit this facility again but if I have a need I will certainly come here first. read more

Memorial Instacare is a new facility created just this last year, but I went in recently with abdominal pain, and was taken in quickly (A lady with chest pain beat me to the front desk, see chest pain trumps abdominal pain...I hope she was OK), so not "Instacare" but "Eventucare", but once I was in there Dr. Gary McFadden was quick to get my samples analyzed, and the nurses were so caring. The Doc even took my blood to speed the process. Unfortunately they couldn't administer the badly needed CT Scan, but I was directed to a facility that could assist me within the IHC realm. They even called ahead for us. I really appreciate the service,and care I received there, and thank goodness I got a good diagnosis, because later that night my swollen appendix was removed successfully, and I am here to yelp all about it. read more

Nice Facility, definitely use the "call ahead" feature... Otherwise wait will be very, very long. I did use the call ahead feature and was in a room within 20 minutes. The wait for the doctor took another 30, but all in all not bad for an urgent care place. Actual patient care was mediocre, typical "Doc in the Box" attitude. Doctor clearly did not care and was not interested in listening to me explain my symptoms. Also was uninterested in problem solving... In short: nice facility, courteous staff, but bored and distracted doctors. read more

I called their Connect Care doctor on demand over skype) because I was really sick and wanted to get an antibiotic in my system before the holiday. I called and spoke to a PA. He thought I had a major sinus infection and said he was calling in a prescription right away so I could pick it up that night. I had my son run to the pharmacy. There was nothing called in. I called customer service. The woman was rude and said sorry system is down.. oh well call back tomorrow... click. I called back in the morning and they said they would look into it and get back to me in an hour. 2 hours later I called again. They had no information they were going to escalate the issue. Never heard ANYTHING from them. By the afternoon I just went to my local doctor and had to pay again. Called customer service and asked for a refund. They said they had to research it. I also sent an email. It has been 10 days and they are STILL researching and I have heard nothing. My credit card company is now going to fight the charge. I do not recommend this service. It is supposed to make things convenient. For me it was not, it was a hassle... and sadly still is 11 days later. I will never use this service again. read more

Went in to urgent care on Sat for serious cough and cold that would not go away. They took a chest x ray told me that it was viral bronchitis and it would eventually get better. Five days later I came back in again ($200 per visit) because my symptoms worsened, and I developed a sinus infection and ear infection. They gave me antibiotics for the ear infection and sent me on my way. Later that night, the clinic called and informed me that my chest X-ray (from 5 days earlier) showed pneumonia. They gave me another antibiotic for the pneumonia - I'm finally on the road to recovery. I'm not sure how long it typically takes the radiologist to review x-rays, but 5 days seems too long to me. Now I get multiple antibiotics along with the diarrhea and 10 extra days of unnecessary illness. read more

We called Memorial Kids Care and we were told over the phone that the visit would be $140, but when we got there the receptionist said it would be $160, since the $140 visit only applied for "adult" Urgent Care. I took my daughter late in the evening since we thought she might have a urinary tract infection. She was seen by Dr. Cynthia Coor who ordered a strep culture test and some other test instead of having her do a urine test! When we went to buy the ointment that she had prescribed we realized that she had given us someone else's prescription. I called the clinic but they were already closed. I called again first thing in the morning and I got an answering machine saying that they didn't open until 5 pm. I called again in the evening and I kept being transferred over and over until I was able to have them call the pharmacy and get the right prescription ordered (Thanks Julia!). Too late though since the pharmacy is already closed for the day. By the time we get the prescription tomorrow, it's going to have been two days since we were there. We still have to pay for the visit plus all the extra unnecessary tests (out of packet since we don't have insurance). I would not recommend this place. read more

My kids have a pediatrician named Dr. Leah Costello she is awesome! My son had really bad eczema when he was a baby. Dr. Leah Costello gave me a cream for his face to keep putting on every 4 hours I believe. His eczema got better within a week! We kept putting on the cream every now and then when his cheeks would get red. At 1 year his eczema was completely GONE he doesn't need the cream that dr. Costello prescribed anymore. She would tell me not to give Joseph any eggs or milk for his eczema just in case if he was allergic to it. We did found out that my son is not allergic to eggs and milk. Wow. I love this pediatrician! My son also went for another visit to her office because he had a cough. This wasn't a normal cough. I can't really remember what name Dr. Costello had said the cough was called, but just by listening to his cough and checked his breathing. She knew exactly what he was sick of! I love you Dr. Costello! So sad to see you leave from memorial Clinic. She is moving to Vermont to be closer to her family. So anyone is Vermont that wants a great, awesome pediatrician Dr. Costello is the Dr. For your children! read more

Brought my cousin in with excruciating back pain. I will admit that it was getting close to closing time, but that's no excuse for the staff to LOUDLY complain about her being the last patient and having to wait for the lab results. Be a decent caregiver and give your patients and their families some confidence in you. As an employee of Intermoutain healthcare myself, I was very unimpressed and disappointed in the quality of care provided. Take another minute to drive to the 4th South location. read more

My husband just went in today with either a cracked or broken rib(s). He can barely shift his car into gear because of the pain. They didn't take any x rays and the doctor said there's nothing they can do unless he has pneumonia (it indicates that the rib has punctured the lung). He waited 1.5 hours to see a doctor for less than a minute who didn't even feel his sides or do anything! All the doctor did was write a prescription for aleve. What a joke! Is this what healthcare in this country has come to? read more
