The hospital staff on the 2nd floor is attentive and caring. The single bed rooms are much better…read morethan the rooms with two patients per room. The nurses, doctors and caregivers are very responsive and professional. A sincere and special thank you to RN Shannon, RN Ashleigh and RN Carla on the second floor (2 East). They have taken care of my mother very well and it is noted by my family members and I. The Virginia Mason Memorial Cafe on the 1st floor is also very nice and has an amazing selection of items at reasonable prices for staff and those of us visiting our loved ones. The employees working in the Cafe are very friendly and accommodating. They get an A+ for customer service. Although I never would recommend a stay in any hospital, when a hospital is needed in Yakima, Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital is the one you'll want.

Me and my mother got to that hospital at 10am in the morning because she was having pain in her side. we get to the lobby, its empty. no one is in there. but yet we still wait 30 minutes just to get asked basic health questions. and once that is done, we wait another 40 just to get a room. and once we get seen by doctors they give my mom a CT Scan and tell her its just a muscle issue and prescribe her narcotics. But today they called her and told her that there was a MASS IN HER UTERUS THAT THEY HAD COMPLETELY OVERLOOKED. THEY COMPLETELY OVERLOOKED A MASS. That is seriously live changing information that they had simply looked over to be lazy. not to mention we didnt even get out of the hospital till 4pm.

I have been to see him once so far to establish care…read more I have confidence that he has the necessary skills and knowledge to take care of any medical needs that I may have. I am pleased that he has said that he will worry about my medical issues and that i do not need to worry about them. It is comforting to know that I can trust him as my physician who will find the best care for me if/when I need it. He is the best physician that I have ever had and I have been to a number of doctors over the years.
