    Curry chicken sandwich

We were looking for a lighter lunch and this cafe hit the spot. The chicken curry sandwich and the spinach salad with chicken were delicious, and this place seems to be full of locals which is always a good sign!

Memories Cafe & Eatery is a new place that opened up in Liverpool. I went with my friend and it wasn't that busy when we ordered. Staff members were polite but getting my food was a little bit slow but I'm sure for now they're still working out some issues that come along with owning a new business. Shortly after my friend and I sat down the place became filled with people, it was nice to see a business doing so well in a small town. I had a ham and cheese panini while my friend had the vegetable and beef soup and a sandwich. Food was fantastic and I can't wait to go back again and hopefully be able to give a full five-star review! If you're in Liverpool and looking for a place to eat, this is probably the best place to go.

Nice menu, lots of choices. I had the soup which was really good. Service was great. I'll come back for sure.

My husband and I stopped in this bakery after lunch because, well, it's a bakery! Lol. Staff were…read moresuper nice and greeted us right away. I was just looking around when they introduced me to their Chai Cookies. I love Chai, so I had to get one. They were $2.30 each (taxes in) and quite large. They also introduced me to their soft baked pretzels, which looked really good and were also quite large ($3 each), but I decided to pass, maybe next time. I was looking at their chocolate chip cookies and I found it really cute that the girl said "I promise you that no one took a bite out of these, they are just broken like that." They did in fact look like someone took small nibbles around the edges, haha. I have a soft spot in my heart for bakeries that go ahead and sell imperfectly shaped or less aesthetically pleasing goods. This is probably because my own baking is not much to look at, but it is delicious - my own opinion, but also the opinion of others who have tasted my baking, lol. Anyway, they are relatively new, as they weren't there when we were last in Liverpool a few years ago. They sell sauces, pastas, water bottles, and other items in addition to baked goods. They also have sandwiches.

I just love their sourdough bread. It's the best! I buy it often and eat it every morning with…read moreeggs, delish! The French Baguettes are amazing too. The problem with the baguette is that it just doesn't last. It's gone the very first night. We love it. LOL!

The scallop linguini was amazing, featuring Adams & Knickle scallops, Oulton's smoked bacon, arugula, garlic, and Parmesan. The combination of fresh local scallops with the smoky bacon and greens was absolutely delicious. Love seeing local ingredients showcased this well! Their lobster roll was also one of the best we've had. Great seasoning with tarragon, mayo, celery, and greens, all tucked into a homemade roll. Simple, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The seafood linguini was basically Nova Scotia on a plate... loaded with scallops, mussels, and shrimp. We absolutely loved it... although it could have used just one more local ingredient: lobster! And then there was the linguine limone, which was another standout. Bright, fresh lemon zest with toasted pine nuts made for a fantastic pasta. By the end, there was absolutely no room for dessert which is probably a good sign of how much we enjoyed the meal! Great local ingredients, generous portions, and delicious seafood. A must-try when visiting Lunenburg.

Had to wait about 20 minutes before got the call to come on down. They have something for everybody - sandwiches, pizza, proper seafood dishes. Had scallops and linguine. Tasty, generous portion and local scallops from across the street. The bowl of chowder was loaded with seafood and the mussels were seasoned well. Service was good. Food came out fairly quickly. Definitely would come back in future!

I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg on chive bread with homemade tomato jam and my hubby had a freshly made omelette. We took two cinnamon buns to go! Hi! WELL, what a pleasant surprise! A new Restaurant…read morethat sprung up! We arrived just as they closed, haha... but they let us in to chat and buy some of their DELICIOUS baking... Which is ALL made from scratch!! All their Breads are home made and NOT brought in, like at the Rose Bistro down the road.... The owner of this "Hungry Traveler" and their staff are warm and kind people! There is outside Patio Seating, TONS of Parking, and it's at: 10117 Highway 3... Phone: 902-518-2535 .... It's on the way to the Rose Bistro, [which we will NEVER patronize again]... Their menu is "All Day Breakfast"... and Sandwich type Brunch! They also cater trays... They have a "Build your OWN" Breakfast... The place is seemingly serene... [with none of the 'out of control' kids or over-crowding, like at that Rose Bistro down the road]... Their food offerings are cheaper and budget friendly....And they do not 'push you through' to get to the next customer, like the Bistro... The Brunch Sandwiches look amazing... and we intend to eat our way through their menu offerings!! The Sandwiches are decent sized... with HOME-MADE Bread!! We are going back for their Vietnamese Sandwich... It's traditional, right down to the marinated Chicken, Pickled Daikon & Carrot Slaw, fresh Cilantro etc.... The Curried Chicken looks great, and so does the Vegan Mashed Buffalo Chick Peas... It will be hard to decide what to eat after the Vietnamese Sandwich for sure!!! And the place is immaculate! The "Hungry Traveler" has our attention and our cash! Reading between the lines, you can probably tell we had just experienced "A Brunch from hell" at the Rose Bistro down the road... screaming/crying kids...Parents ignoring the bad behavior, some were running around... ...We grabbed our cutlery and water and went outside... We DIDN'T enjoy our meal which cost around $48.00 ... We had some nice times there, but are fed up with the WILDLIFE... this was a BOMB...and we will never return.
