The space is beautiful. My biggest complaint was their communication. Took forever to get responses via email or phone. When you're planning a wedding, it adds stress to have trouble communicating with the venue. Another thing was when we toured, we were given a catering booklet. Turns out the prices in the booklet were pre-COVID. It sucked having the costs be higher after the fact. On my quest to find a wedding venue I found myself at Memory Lane's open house. I found this venue to be neat, clean and welcoming. The property is nicely landscaped and the outdoor ceremony space is very well done. You will notice in older photos that the aisle is grass, when I arrived I found that same area covered in nice flag stone. The seating on each side of the aisle is white metal bench style. It is a very different then the seating I have seen at other venues and I must say I prefer it. It looks neat and it is a permanent installation. It's perfect the only thing needed might be some fabric draping and a couple of flowers. The inside ceremony space is rustic and very country looking. It's Texas and I have come to the conclusion the majority of spaces are similar to this. The floors are wood as is the wall and the ceiling. The outside cocktail area is flag stone surrounding an attractive tree. This place has a pool and guest accommodations for about 10 people. Two of the units are private and the other rooms are more of a standard house situation. It wasn't super fancy but it seems to me if your having a lot of out of town guests.....This might be a great option. Let's be honest after a huge celebration who wants to get on the road and drive 30 minutes to an hour to get to their hotel. My husband and I chose this venue back in the beginning of 2020. We booked the date as March of 2021. Since the pandemic began so soon after we booked, it was difficult to plan things. We waited it out and then in December 2020, we asked to change the date. I thought that since the pandemic made things difficult, that the venue would be a bit understanding. They offered to let us change the date to ONE MONTH later for free, TWO MONTHS later for $500, and anything after that had the full $1000 change the date fee. This is the beginning of the red flags for me. I should mention, however, that the venue has some positives as well. The pagoda over the ceremony site is gorgeous. Also, the fact that you get to stay overnight is pretty neat too. Except- they say that there are accommodations for 17 but we were not given a proper tour or shown where things are. First of all, we were in contact with the venue constantly about all of the details. I was mainly in contact with two people, Kara and Tori. We even had our final meeting with Tori, which took at least an hour. They both made it seem like there would be someone to help us manage the wedding the day of and the rehearsal the day before. The final meeting notes were very specific- saying what songs we want, who will walk with who, who our caterers were and all their info, and then some! We showed up for rehearsal and the on site staff that day seemed to be taken by surprise that we were there. Jackie continued to help us with the rehearsal and then after we finished, my family and I continued to walk around the venue. The staff member then came to find me and informed me that no one was scheduled to help coordinate the day of because I hadn't paid for that service. So NO ONE was scheduled to help? Not even a manager on site? So, the DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING, they let me know that no one was scheduled to be there. Luckily, my MOH and my cousin were there to inform the staff member that I was under the impression that I would have an on site coordinator or manager the day of. So, this staff member offered to correct this issue and stated that she would come in early to help because she "was scheduled to be [there]," just "not that early." She also stated that she would "have to study" for the wedding. THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. Where is Tori? Where is Kara? Maybe these staff members quit or were fired, I don't know, but where is the communication? Where was the hand off of information? Why did I spend hours of my time emailing and on the phone with these people just for someone else to take over? Someone who was not familiar with what I wanted at all? They will charge you $750 for the day of coordinator, apparently. This would be a waste of money since so many things did not happen. First, I was rushed through pretty much everything, except getting dressed. They cut the Anniversary Dance without telling me. They didn't announce the cake cutting so I had a shit ton of cake leftover and no one even knew it happened. The DJ didn't play all the songs I requested. The DJ was another issue. $700 for the DJ. The noise was terrible. Several family and friends went out of their way to let me know the DJ was awful. That's embarrassing. One of the only things I wanted out of my wedding was dancing to "Butterfly Kisses" with my father. The sound kept cracking and was blown out during pretty much the whole song. Then, I rented linens through the venue. They said they would set up the linens how I wanted. I asked for the napkins to be folded so that the silverware could easily be tucked. None of them were folded this way, so we had to go back and refold 100 napkins. They were supposed to save us time? My cousin was in charge of the decorating and had to even hunt down one or two tables/linens herself. They also didn't let us know that there are a bunch of decor and different things stored throughout the venue that you can use. $45 for a projector that they won't help you with. $25/colored lightbulb for the dance floor (nickel and diming). Halfway through planning my wedding, the venue got bought out by the guy who owns Catering by Mopsie. After this happened, all of a sudden I had to pay an extra $500 if I wanted to use an outside caterer. Even though I signed my contract before the change happened. I basically felt like I got bullied into using their catering even though that was not what I wanted. Then, I find out that CBM are the bar service that the venue would use as well. Catering by Mopsie charges $6/person +$200 for the bartender. This is cheaper than the $9.50pp that the venue charged me, by $150. When I asked the venue about this, instead of just adjusting the price to make it easier for me, the customer, they told me that I could either pay it or remove it from the ticket and go through the caterer. What can I say about Memory Lane? SO MUCH! After months of planning our dream wedding, we can gladly say "We're married!", and it was all due to the massive help from Memory Lane staff. From the very beginning everyone was super helpful- and we needed a lot! From planning to final meetings to the big day, we were happy with how everything turned out. Our wedding was perfect! No stress, all of us started on time, and the coordinators are LIFESAVERS! I would have had no clue when to walk down the aisle, when to first dance, how to throw a bouquet, without these girls. They helped us immensely throughout the day and we are so pleased with how everything turned out. Our families were so happy to be able to enjoy the day without running around for us- thank you to all of the Memory Lane family that made this happen! I do not even know how to begin to describe how grateful we are to everyone we worked with at Memory Lane. We chose Memory Lane for our wedding venue and could NOT have been more satisfied with the services they provided from start to finish. From our initial visit, we were blown away by how gorgeous the venue was in comparison to everywhere else we had looked at. Not to mention - the property is HUGE! We knew right from the start that this was the venue we wanted for our wedding. It was a perfect mix of everything - beautiful outdoor ceremony site, gorgeous bridal/groom suite, beautiful scenery all around that would be perfect for photos, extremely spacious indoor area that would be perfect for all of our guests to relax in A/C for our summertime wedding, and a beautifully rustic reception hall that provided the chill, casual vibe we were going for. When we first met with Memory Lane, the very first thing we noticed was all of the awards and plaques that were displayed in their office. After working with them for so many months, we completely understand how they had obtained so many awards. They were an absolute dream to work with and walked us through every step of the process. Uleta is absolutely FANTASTIC and kept us updated every step of the way. We had no idea what we wanted when we initially started planning, but with the help of Memory Lane, we were able to find inspiration and they took our vision and turned it into a reality. They showed us countless photos and were so patient with our indecisiveness until we were finally able to envision exactly what we wanted. They addressed any hesitation we had and kept in constant communication with us throughout. We don't even live in the Austin/Hill Country area, but they made it so easy to work with them. Uleta assured me that whatever I wanted for my wedding, they were going to make happen. They kept in contact with our vendors for us to make sure everything was going to be perfect for our wedding. Let me start by saying that this was probably THE most incredible customer service experience I have EVER had ANYWHERE! My husband and I worked mainly with Thalia, who is the sweetest, most genuinely caring people I've ever met. I can't tell you how many run-ins I had with wedding appointments with people who acted like they had so many things they'd rather be doing than helping me with my wedding. Thalia gets it. She understands that everyone has their own special day and while she's seen so many, that doesn't discount anyone else's. She is genuinely happy for you and so excited to help. I don't think I could have kept my head on strait. Did I mention she's super patient? Now I raved about Thalia, but let me mention that each and every other staff member here is also amazing. They truly do an amazing job about making everyone comfortable. I got married here back in September, 2011 right at the end of the drout, but the grass was still green and the breeze on the hills helped a lot with the heat. We did the overnight package, which I highly recommend especially if you have a lot of out-of-town guests. Some venues charge as much just for the evening, but with this package, you have the venue from about 2pm the day of until about 12pm the following day. There are a number of rooms with multiple beds, a great room to keep the party going after the wedding reception has ended, a full kitchen to store snacks, leftovers (cake, yum!) and breakfast for the next day. They also have a pool (open when it's the right season, of course) and a jacuzzi! I really wish there was a way to give Memory Lane 10 stars because I just cannot stress enough how happy I am with my experience. I am so glad I chose Memory Lane as my wedding venue. We got married here on May 30, 2015 after all the flooding. The morning was a bit stressful because there were impending thunderstorms and rain that were supposed to happen right around our outdoor ceremony time. I expressed to my day of coordinators (Gaby and Emily) that I wanted to do everything that was possible to keep the wedding ceremony outdoors. The main reason we chose the venue was because the venue is absolutely gorgeous outdoors with the big trees and beautiful arbor. My day of coordinators were AMAZING! They were constantly checking in with me and giving me updates on the weather situation and even though it rained a little bit, they wiped down all the aisle seats and made it happen! Throughout the entire reception, they kept things moving very smoothly and always checked in with me and the groom to make sure we were having a good time and didn't need anything. They remained calm when a whole group of unexpected guests showed up. Later in the evening, they also mentioned to me and the photographer that there was a beautiful sunset outside and I'm so grateful to get those pictures! If you choose this venue, definitely get the day of coordinators, they will make your day go by so smoothly so you don't have to worry about a thing! The rest of the staff here are also amazing, so organized, and super responsive! They would respond to most emails that same day and no later than the next day. In terms of the wedding venue, the site is absolutely gorgeous! The venue includes use of the bridal suite (which is huge!), a groom's suite, and an option of night of lodging as well. They also provide linen services, on-site DJ, and floral. We decided to use the on-site DJ and he was great! If you are looking for a rustic location in the beautiful hill country, this venue is it! I'll probably be updating this review as my wedding goes on for the next year or so, but I first want to at least get out on the internet that Memory Lane was the first venue my fiancé and I went to see that made us as comfortable as we did. Not only did I just love the venue itself, Taylor was the one showing us around and taking to us and she was a hoot. She was super friendly and sweet, didn't rush us, didn't make us feel awkward, even asked how the proposal happened, and tried to learn more about us as individuals and as a couple. Taylor I think is what truly sold us on Memory Lane, and I cannot be more excited to get this thing on it's merry way! My wife and I not only had our wedding reception at Memory Lane, we also had our whole family spend 4 days there, and we loved every second. The location is beautiful. The grounds are great. The pavilion is excellent. The house is perfect. At night it set the perfect mood and had it not been our honeymoon, we would have stayed the whole time! On top of that, Thalia and her family were amazing hosts, and she even stepped up and helped play wedding planner as well. We could not have done it all with out her. In fact, she was probably worth the cost alone. My wife and I had such a great time at Memory Lane and we cannot recommend it more. Memory Lane was the perfect choice for our wedding and I would recommend them to anyone (and already have!). We first looked at Memory Lane because we wanted a venue that had the hill country rustic charm, but also affordable, and we totally got it with Memory Lane. When we toured everyone was excited and proud of their venue, which made me even more excited. We booked that day because I knew it was the perfect spot. Between the gorgeous outdoor ceremony site to the beautiful rustic indoor reception site, the whole property was beautiful and well maintained. One cool feature they have is overnight lodging. We didn't use it since we lived close enough to the venue, but it was a great space to have the day of, and definitely helpful for those who have a lot of out of town guests. The best thing about Memory Lane was the communication. Communication is very important to me. I am a quick at responding to emails and I get antsy when others aren't. Memory Lane was my dream vendor when it came to communicating. They were ALWAYS quick to respond to emails, always friendly, and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions (even though I was). Every time I made a change to something, which was often, they were quick to get new invoices to me and happy to make any adjustments to the plan. I was never once worried how the wedding day would go. I tend to be a slight control freak, but I felt completely confident in the coordinators to handle everything. We had the rehearsal the day before and it was quick and easy (once my family stopped talking and getting distracted). On the actual day, everything was perfect and beautiful. They were so helpful, on top of things, and excited for me. They made me feel very special on my big day and made sure that everything went smoothly. I couldn't be happier with how the day went. After getting engaged, my fiancé and I took a couple of weeks for it to sink in. Once we where ready, we reached out to our church and started to look for venues. I can't even remember, but somehow we saw Memory Lane's open house and we decided to check them out. We had a tour by Thalia and after we left we decided to call them back and take advantage of the open house special. We fell in love with the rustic, yet sophisticated, look of the reception hall. We fell in love with the outdoor grounds with the luscious trees and pool, plus the beautiful guest house was included with overnight accommodations. The staff has wedding planning down to include every detail. We visited the venue probably 3 times after booking, and the last meeting helped the staff to ensure all my dreams and wishes came true. Most of my vendors were new to them, thus the extra visits out there. Their flexibility with the vendors helped us keep the budget in check. After looking for a day-of-coordination, ML not only had the best deal, but I was confident I could count on their experience. On our wedding day 8/1/15, we got married in a church in downtown Austin, and then we had everyone drive out to Memory Lane. It was a bit of a drive, but we knew that our guests would love it out there. We arrived at ML just in the nick of time, as per our timeline. ML staff helped me adjust my dress for the reception and off we were to be announced as husband and wife into the reception hall. I felt so lucky to have worked with Thalia, Gaby, and Uleta. Due to the hot Texas heat (over 100 degrees) we set up a cocktail hour in the lodge (in the guests cabin), but we also set up cocktail tables outside the reception hall next to the Margarita/Piña Colada bar. We also set up a cornhole game on their lawn, and a cigar hour outdoors. The Mariachi band started on cue, and dinner buffet was ready. I literally had "My Big Fat Mexican Wedding" at ML. I wasn't expecting any dancing during dinner, but my family got really excited with the Mariachis, that the dancing started right away. We also did the traditional "Vibora de la Mar", which ML staff had never experienced before. It involves the groom and bride standing on chairs and creating a bridge, while all the ladies create a super fast Congo line that goes all around the entire reception hall. The ML staff was extremely attentive out all the needs and wants throughout the entire night, they were all smiles, which to me was super important that they appeared approachable to my family, guests, and vendors. All my guests had a wonderful time. We loved being able to invite our guests to hangout a little longer at the after party at the guests house. We took full advantage of the pool and hot tub. I highly recommend having people willing to help clean up, we are super thankful that our wedding party ensure we left everything as required by ML. My only concern was the following: they advertised a capacity of 250, but I was sweating it. After looking at the table layout, I was hoping we only had 220 rsvp's. We were able to squeeze 24 tables (240 guests), but it was tight. It all worked out at the end. Since it was buffet style, we set up two buffet tables (one at the back of the dance floor), which was dismantled after dinner. We also used their rental company for the additional tables, chairs, and linens. Their service included setup and take down, which we truly appreciated. Thalia and Gaby were amazing at listening and catering to my wishes to ensure we would have a memorable wedding day. Their day-of-coordination services were everything and more than I expected. Overall, the place and the staff were exceptional. We loved celebrating our big day at Memory Lane. read more

When we first visited Memory Lane we felt right at home! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They helped us through the entire process and were always available any times we had questions. We rented the lodging for the night before the wedding as well and we highly recommend it! Our family and wedding party were able to relax and enjoy the whole weekend. We had our rehearsal dinner on site which was super convenient and turned out perfectly! We used the day of coordination service and this was one of the best decisions we made. We could not have been more happy with Memory Lane or the staff at Memory Lane. Our wedding was 9/21/13. What we loved about ML was that it was already so beautiful without having to have a lot of decorations. Some of the decorations they have are already included in the price, and the beauty of the place means you don't have to spend a fortune making it look nice. We hired the ML staff as day-of coordinators, and could not speak more highly of them. Thalia handled the rehearsal, and even the minister commented that she was really good at her job. Gabby was fantastic on the wedding day! All of the staff worked well together and the day flowed smoothly. They brought my husband and me drinks while we took photos, and set up dinner for us in a side room so we could quickly eat before seeing everyone at the reception. Planning before the wedding was also so easy. They were super responsive to e-mails, and took care of any questions we had promptly. Regarding the ceremony site, we were a little worried about having an outdoor wedding in September, and we were worried that it was going to be hot. We lucked out on getting a fantastic weather day, but what we found was that when we visited at 4:00 pm in June and at 6:00 in August, the outside ceremony site was still pleasant. We were asked by so many guests how we found ML because they loved it so much, and my parents could not have been happier with the location. And finally, Wild Bunches Florist, which is the on-site florist... fantastic! I was a little hesitant to use them because I didn't know how good an on-site florist would be, however, when I saw the flowers for the first time, I was elated. They were exactly what I wanted. Elizabeth had two meetings with me and apparently understood what I wanted more than I did because she hit the nail on the head! I cannot say enough nice things. The Morgan's are so helpful and open up the venue to you and your guest, to the point you feel like it's YOUR place. The "Wild Bunches" part of this company was our florist. They were such a joy to work with! We met with Janet and her assistant a couple of times, once a few months out and once as the event got closer. They were extremely nice, responsive, helpful, and professional to work with. Initially, we talked with Janet about what we envisioned and also our budget, and she helped us make a plan within our budget. She allowed us to buy a lot of our own materials from craft stores (ex tulle) to save money because then she was just charging us for the labor to set it up. As soon as my husband and I finished our tour of Memory Lane, we knew that was where we wanted to get married! We loved everything about it! The ceremony site was great because it is stone, so we didn't have to worry about walking down a muddy aisle (which had happened at several other outdoor weddings I have attended)! I also loved that the pavilion was climate controlled, just in case the weather didn't cooperate. The décor, landscape and hill top views made it simply magical... the PERFECT place for a Texas hill country wedding. Not only is it beautiful, but the staff is amazing! This place really has their act together! I meet a few times with the staff to iron out all the details and they were always so friendly and helpful. I utilized a majority of their in-house services and it made my life so easy! We used their rental service for china and linens, hired their DJ (who was awesome!) and had all the floral done by the on-site florist, Wild Bunches (such beautiful flowers!). The day of the wedding went so smoothly! We took advantage of the wedding coordinator service that they offer, and it was a great decision. I did not have to think at all! Basically when I was needed for something, (cake cutting, garter toss, etc) one of the staffers would usher me to where I needed to be and would tell me exactly what I needed to do! My wedding at Memory Lane was a dream come true and I if you are looking for a venue with a Texas feel, I do not think you will find a better place! The ambiance is incredible and the staff is unbeatable! A couple things to be aware of if you choose this venue. If you use Memory Lane for your china rental, you may have to pay your caterer an additional china handling fee. Also, if you are staying in the honeymoon suit, make sure you bring your clothes in their before everything gets started! I recently attended my cousins wedding here and it was fantastic! The view and feel of the hill country made it perfect for the event. A great place to just relax, the food was great and the rooms are great and spacious and a place i would easily live! The stars at night were incredible!!! Saw and asteroid fly in between us and the moon and the ISS along with more stars than in the city and the one's you do see are larger and have better color to them. My husband and I got married May 27th at Memory Lane and all we have to say is WOW! From being able to watch my bridesmaids walk down the isle from the bridal suite to the absolutely stunning reception hall. However, the ceremony site is what sold us. We had our wedding a few weeks ago and I am still so overjoyed with the great memories that we created. La Hacienda was the perfect place for our special day. The girls at Memory Lane were so helpful and everything went on without a hitch. Uleta kicked butt that night to help my coordinator get the job done. She went above and beyond the call of duty. I would definitely recommend this venue. I loved that they had two ceremony locations. One inside that is absolutely beautiful. and one outside that was our preferred choice. Luckily we didn't have any rain so we had it outside but having a back up plan that doesn't cost the price of a tent rental was key. We loved the reception hall, it didn't require a lot of extra to make it look good. It looks good as is. I rented linens from them and they were ready to go and looked great. This review is for Wild Bunches Floral - not the Memory Lane Event Center. Wild Bunches Floral was the florist for my spring wedding at the Ma Maison. Wild Bunches was a dream to work with. After bad experiences with multiple different florists, I was both relieved and thankful to have found them. They were affordable and the quality of the bouquets and floral arrangements were outstanding. The florist team listened to what I wanted and they delivered exactly what I was envisioning. My husband and I could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding. The staff is incredible and very responsive to all your questions. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly due to our day of coordinators (Rachel and Gaby). The in-house DJ (DJ Brian) was AMAZING as well as the in-house florists (Wild Bunches)! We just can't say enough good things about this place. My family also loved the convenience of the on-site rooms. These were great for our immediate family to stay in! Amazing! Just had my wedding 04/01/17. They were helpful throughout the whole process when I had questions. I rented it from Friday to Sunday and also had my rehearsal dinner there. We had our whole wedding party plus a couple of others stay at the lodge on site. There are 7 bedrooms. All sleep 2 except one that sleeps 3. We had our rehearsal dinner in the lodge. I would highly recommend the day of coordinator. At first I was like heck no that's expensive but it was worth it. There are so many minor details and stresses you don't want to worry about as the bride. Like who will cue the music and everyone to walk down the aisle. They also helped set up the day before and had great ideas and unpacked boxes. They contact all your vendors for you to confirm times. It was truly an amazing and beautiful venue. Also, they supply rental stuff through whim event rentals. I would look at their website at different types of chairs and linens! They also had cute plates. read more

We absolutely LOVED the fact that we could have our ceremony outside in the beautiful hill country setting and our reception indoors in the gorgeous event facility. The staff at Memory Lane cannot be topped. The girls were SO HELPFUL! I would email them with questions all throughout the planning process and always got a response back very promptly. Rachel and Gabby worked the actual wedding (I HIGHLY recommend the day-of wedding coordinator package), and they were awesome! Thalia did our rehearsal and she was patient and kind and made the process very easy. We rented the linens through Memory Lane and went with their in-house DJ services - both of which were perfect. Our wedding on October 23rd was amazing. Other venues had outrageous prices and were very pretentious during our search. This venue has overnight accommodations included which is exactly what we wanted. The staff is there to help in every step of the process. Definitely get the day of coordinators. Uleta is the perfect person to be with the bride before walking down the aisle - so sweet. Rachel is definitely a doer and made the wedding stay on schedule and gets shit done lol. Our caterer completely dropped the ball and she took care of contacting them during the reception. Gaby was a breeze coordinating the event over email and answered all my silly questions along the way. Highly highly recommend! Venue is gorgeous and everything was perfect. Our wedding party stayed in their overnight lodge and the bride and groom in the honeymoon sweet. So awesome. Thank you for an amazing day and memories for a lifetime!! read more

Memory Lane was great! This review won't even capture all the help, answers, planning, and last minute vendor save that this venue's awesome staff did for us! We just had our wedding on 12/22 and from the first tour with Thalia we were surprised that such an awesome venue with lodging for our wedding party was in our budget. Gaby was our spirit animal guide throughout the planning process and such a friendly face/point person for us. Elizabeth and Uleta answered the random questions from lighting to rocks to highchairs and more! Communication was super prompt and if the person didn't know the answer right then, we got a call within a day with the correct information. We booked the night before which was super helpful for spending time decorating and hanging out with friends. We didn't do linens (gift from a guest) or flowers (so beautiful and really nice talking to their on-sight florist (Wild Bunches) but we crafted ours) but even that experience went well. Gaby and Rachel helped us attempt communication with a bad vendor and then helped us find a replacement bartender the day of us coming to the venue. Rachel and Taylor were on point for the entire event; so many things happened that they made sure the timeline went smoothly, even when we pushed events up! Seriously, we loved this venue and it was a perfect backdrop for our wedding! read more
