I shared a Pinterest board full of inspiration and ideas, and she put together a design proposal that incorporated so many of those images. As someone who likes to know exactly how things are going to look, it was tempting to ask for every little detail of how the inspiration would translate into the final arrangements. Instead, I trusted Cheryl's creativity and expertise to bring everything together, and I'm so glad I did. When we walked through the venue before the wedding, I was thrilled with how everything looked, and somehow it was even more beautiful on the wedding day. We intentionally kept our florals fairly minimal, using bud vases, candles, and repurposing our ceremony flowers for the reception. When you first see the site, you think it looks just like someone's home with a large parking lot, but once you step inside you are welcomed with lovely layout indoors and a spectacular patio outdoors. We were already leaning toward hiring a coordinator but then our venue (Ma Maison) required us to have one so we contacted their entire list of preferred vendors for coordinators and we are so glad we did because that's how we found Heather from Vintage & Lace!! Of all of the planners and coordinators we talked to, I was just immediately drawn to how warm, friendly, AND organized she is. Heather is an absolute pro with countless weddings under her belt, but still so kind and easy to talk to. Then, despite planning our wedding from another city, Heather made it SO easy and smooth. We technically only booked her for day-of coordination (with full communication/access the month prior) but from day one, she was still always available via call, email, text, whathaveyou, no matter when or what kind of (ridiculous, I'm sure) questions I had. We didn't actually meet Heather in person until our rehearsal the day before our wedding, and she was an absolute ROCK STAR the entire weekend. She managed to wrangle our large wedding party (14 bridesmaids and groomsmen) and all of our family (including bilingual and non-native English speakers, as well as divorced family) with both grace and authority. It's also worth noting we had several extras (a Chinese tea ceremony before our wedding ceremony, two large shuttles to transport our guests to and from Dripping Springs, getting Whataburger delivered to our venue for a late night snack) and Heather handled EVERYTHING seamlessly. Anything I thought of or had concerns about, she handled before I even voiced them to her! If anything went wrong on our wedding day, I have no idea what it was, because Heather was ON it. She was also incredibly thoughtful and adaptable, from my mom wanting to move the cake-cutting earlier, to making sure all of our belongings were packed away and that we had plenty of snacks and drinks in our getaway car. Her day-of assistant, Jasmine, was also so helpful and sweet. They both made the entire weekend just a wonderful, fun, amazing experience where we got to fully enjoy getting married and celebrating with family and friends. I can't recommend Heather and Vintage & Lace more highly -- BOOK HER NOW! I won't say "you won't regret it," but rather, you'll regret it if you don't! She assuaged my panic and let me know that 6 weeks for a 30 person wedding was easy peasy. I cannot recommend Heather enough! With my hectic work schedule, she contacted me via email as my preference. We are based in Philadelphia, and while we didn't meet until the day before the wedding, you definitely couldn't tell as everything went off without a hitch. Toured this place in 2025 and was somewhat disturbed by the spray foam insulation ceilings, but…read moredecided to sign on anyway as the rest of the venue was so lovely. We were assured in writing that the ceilings would be taken care of by the day of my wedding. I asked for updates all year and was told every time "they're not done yet, but don't worry, it will get done by your wedding day," Spoiler: that did not happen Ceilings aside, there were good and bad things about this experience. On the day of the rehearsal, my foot fell through a rotten plank of wood and they immediately remedied that which was amazing. Our advisor was very kind and helpful throughout the experience and answered our endless questions. The day of the wedding, however, our advisor was not scheduled to be working, so he was not there and the only staff who were there had not met us before and, due to a language barrier, had a very tough time communicating our needs. Several things went wrong the day-of like no electricity in the ceremony space, tables and chairs incorrectly laid out (several guests had nowhere to sit), and those ceilings were still unfinished (also wasps live in the insulation and attacked one of my bridesmaids). We brought up these concerns to our advisor and never received a response. Like, for weeks. We followed up. Nothing. Then, we get a check in the mail which IMO was not for enough money, but still no communication. It's like the customer service relationship immediately ends on the day of the wedding. Just bizarre. If they ever fix these ceilings, I'd say book it and ensure that your advisor will be working the day of your wedding.
