Unfortunately, the dress was not finished in time, and communication has now stopped, as l've been blocked after requesting a resolution. She had shipped me the dress half made- not fitting correctly and now what I originally asked for, once i messaged her she blocked me on everything. I provided my own original design for this dress and paid in full with the understanding of that deadline. At this point, I am simply asking for a fair resolution. If anyone has had similar experiences or has advice on how to proceed, I would really appreciate it. I will also be pursuing this through formal channels if needed. THEIR "REPAIR" RUINED MY SOFA UPHOLSTERY! DON'T GO HERE!…read more The upholstery on my sofa detaches and is machine washable. I tore it while putting it back on. I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.

She cut off the excess material, flipped up about 1/4 inch, and sewed it on a machine, just as you would sew a seam. The stitches are too tight, and the dress no longer falls gracefully to the floor. The bottom of the dress is already turning up, and the dress is truly a disaster. I'm searching for another seamstress to see if it can be repaired, but I seriously doubt it. The event I'm going to is in less than a week, and I'm afraid I won't be able to attend because I won't have a dress. I'm more than disappointed; I'm irate.

To hem two pants and the sleeves of a blazer was $115 plus tax (a bit steep there- and much higher than posted on their Facebook). The pants were $25 each and the blazer was $65. I was hopeful the quality of work warranted that price, but unfortunately that's not the case. The seamstress folded in the arms of my blazer and sewed it in like that, leaving button holes visible in the cuff, of which they kept the buttons that they removed. I had to request she sew shut the cuff button holes now mostly on the inside of my blazer at pick up and expressed it doesn't look good as I now have a thick and bulky cuff with visible stitching, and a visible button hole on the edge of the cuff. The stitches are all visible through the outside of the clothes, and the stitches themself are not neat. I'm extremely disappointed that my nice business clothes (all JCrew and in total cost over $400) now look like this and am contemplating how I'm supposed to show up to work with a visibly horribly altered suit. As a positive, they got the work done way faster than requested (almost 2 weeks) or communicated; although, I'd rather they'd have taken their time and done a better job.
