Scheduled an appointment for noon on Thursday April 23rd. The day prior, I receive a call and text requesting to change to 12:20 instead, which I agreed to via text since I was trying to be nice and accommodating to the business. I arrive at 12:15 only for the check in lady to tell me I was late and was cancelled. I show the messages and voicemail but was informed I wouldn't be able to get a haircut until at least 2:30 since she never saw this change? She seemed very unwilling to accommodate in any way. I took the day off from work to get errands and things done and planned my day around being in this area for my appointment. Will not be returning to this location and I doubt I will visit the franchise as a whole again as a result. Lesson learned I guess... read more

I have frequented Men's Hair House in the Falls since I moved back to Wisconsin around September 2016. I usually get a haircut every 2 to 2.5 weeks, as this is a regiment that I still carry on from a 20 year career in the military. I have not had a bad haircut, and all the employees are super nice and very personable. As you can imagine with my frequency of haircuts, you get to know the person cutting your hair. I do not have a personal favorite, but I do like to maintain some continuity for conversation purposes. The full service haircut is less expenive than Sports Clips and a few dollars more than Great Clips or like option. read more

I wasn't that impressed. I had heard they were an affordable place with great haircuts, but I feel like my cut was pretty basic, similar to what I would get at GreatClips. I also heard that the place offered a free straight razor shave but I think I must be mistaken. That was not offered to me. Worst haircut I have ever received. Gave Shelley a detailed explanation of what I wanted, and did not do a very good job with it. Got home and found chunks from the front to the back that had different lengths. One of the requests were to leave 2 inches on top, some parts were just under, some parts were 1.5, and areas like my widows peak we only an inch. Also was fairly rude at the end when I left, I was smiling and told her I still appreciated her time and paid full. Got home and my wife thought I had cut my own hair or went somewhere for free. Quick back story: 90% of the time I cut my own hair. I use clippers and different guards and most stylists, this location included, seem amazed at my results and ask how the hell I even do it but, it's not quite as clean as I prefer (and it grows as fast as a weed) and have to get the pros to manage it. That said, I tried this place three days in a row. The first was a walk in attempt with a 30 min wait; not bad but I had errands to run. The second, I called in and couldn't make their available time slot work. Today I called in even earlier and got a perfect time, got there early, and was in-n-out in 20 minutes or less. Anna, the stylist was very nice and pleasantly chatty but not pushy or annoying, despite my attitude after a long day and bad traffic. The haircut (trim around the bottom, rather) was quick and very well done; she said it would be $8 instead of a full haircut. For an extra $2, I opted for the incredibly relaxing hot towel, shampoo, and 'massage' from the little handheld thing; I'll take a scalp massage with nice nails over a back massage any day. After my experience, I saw the reviews on here and was pretty surprised by how poor they were...until I read how horribly written they were. I wont just dismiss their supposed experience with service but I can confidently say I'll be back to have Anna trim my hair any time. read more

The only reason I got my husband to go get a real haircut (ie. not me buzzing his head) was because we are getting family pictures taken. He usually hates going somewhere to get his haircut but he actually wants to go back!! He had Theresa and she gave him the best haircut he's ever gotten! Unfortunately I have to change my review and we will not be returning. The woman who gave my husband a haircut had him waiting 20 minutes and was extremely rude to him before I came back and chatted her up. He tried to explain the last haircut he had and she was asking him if he wanted 1 inch or 1/2 inch...etc. and when my husband didn't know she rudely snapped "how do you not know the length you want?!" I had scheduled an appointment with my usual stylist, Amanda, who I love. When I arrived, I was informed that she had to unexpectedly leave. I was offered the stylist Beth Anne who did an amazing job. She has a great personality and is a wonderful stylist. She made sure to make notes so my regular stylist would know what she did. I usually don't have anyone else cut my hair except my regular stylist, but given that she's out on leave, I thought it was worth a shot. I'm glad I found a good backup for the future! All the staff was friendly, the girl at the front desk was cute, which is always a bonus. The salon is clean and modern. I highly recommend! read more

I've been coming for quite some time now and the atmosphere has went downhill the last couple visits. There a young employee whom has a negative attitude and isn't afraid to show it. There has been a small elementary school aged girl there during TWO of my visits always interfering with the employees during services and calling one of them "mom" (unprofessional). And then what seems to be the manager possibly having a rough night before having gashes and bruises on her arms/face not looking put together at all. It just isn't what it used to be. read more

If you get Anna, Chi, Theresa, or Sua get a haircut. Otherwise walk out and quickly. Went in needs a trim and she shaved one side of my head to my hair line and faded the other side of my head. Literally it looked like two cuts. Went back in and get it fix and the hair stylist just kept saying sorry but I really didn't want her touching me. Theresa (manager) said she had three appointments and didn't have time, I understand that, she asked the only other employee to come and help and that employee comes literally stomping out and visibly and verbally expresses disinterest of helping me in front of me. She rolled her eyes and bitched about helping directly in front of me. Needless to say I marched out with a jacked up hair cut. They did refund me as they sat in front of the computer listen to the second employee complain about cutting my hair to the manager. I went to 18/8 in Brookfield. Told them I had a bad cut and they fit me right in no questions. Double the price but double the quality. I've gone Men's hair house for over a Year. They have no set schedules so you have to call to figure out who is cutting and when. And if you don't get the above cutters, walk out. Went yesterday but walked in without an appointment. I was under impression you could just walk in to HH but I don't think that's the case. Gal that worked there said she could schedule something for the next day which I came to 10 minutes early to. After I was still sitting there after scheduled time I yelped hair places and found Supercuts about .7 miles away off of Falls Parkway. No waiting, a warm towel at the end on the back of the neck with the option of a head massage and shampoo for a few dollars more. Glad I came to HH to pull a few lollipops out of the container by the cashier but cannot tell you if my drive from BROOKFIELD to the HH twice was worth it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Sarah used the metal guards on her clippers just like my usual barber! This makes a world of a difference in the quality of the cut in my opinion. When in Friday new girl most of the time it takes about a hour this time 15 mins and my hair looked it . I had hair on my back and on my ass down inside my shirt had to go home and change my shirt and wash up. Never again will I take someone new and all this fun and I gave her a 5 dollar tip before I know how bad she did. And she had the time but could not get back to the other girls as fast as she could to sit there and bullshit. She gave me several tips on how I could keep my beard looking good between appointments. Came back a few weeks (5 or 6 ) and need to get cleaned up. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. My son and I have been getting our haircut there since they opened by Tee. She does a fantastic job and goes out of her way to make sure your haircut is the way u want it before u leave. Honestly had the most rude hairdresser of my life. Snippy the whole time and legit worst haircut of my life. I'm sure they have good hairdressers but she was awful.
