Generally, I have had a pretty decent experience at most Menards locations. This one, on this day was the exact opposite. I needed to return an item and had the order number and receipt pulled up on my phone. Well, Jeremy at the customer service desk was able to turn a 30 second return into a 15 minute ordeal! When I showed him my return documentation, he said I needed to have a printed receipt and to go over to that kiosk, swipe my method of payment, and get a printed receipt. Before I was able to tell him I didn't have my Menards card with me, he was on to the next customer. I had to get back at the end of the long return line and about 13 minutes later, Mia saved the day and returned the item in less than 30 seconds.....the way it should've been done 15 minutes earlier. So, I can't recommend this location. read more

I don't visit this Menards too often. The one by my house is only five minutes away. But just like all Menards. This location has everything properly stocked and ready for purchase. This location is clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly and ready to help. I have not had any issues with this location. I'm sure you won't either. read more

Went for some bags of rock, nothing in the garden center, went to the service desk and they told me to go to the garden center. Explained no bags of rock there and no customer service help either. They wrote me a ticket and told me to drive around the building and ask the guard where to find the bags. Eventually I found the entrance, which was on the opposite side of where they said. No one seemed to be at guard shack. Scanned my receipt and got in, but no clue where to find the rock. Had to drive all over the yard to find it. Loaded it myself and drove to the exit. There was a guy in the guard shack, sitting down playing on his phone. With an attitude for interrupting his phone time he let me out. Really poor customer service and attitudes from everyone. read more

Menards is a hardware store comparable to Lowes and Home Depot in selection. However, when it comes to customer service the comparison fades. Menards has a proprietary brand of lighting (Patriot) that they market. The product is made offshore (Vietnam) naturally, and with it comes the usual degree of mid quality. I purchased three track lighting units for my kitchen and dining area. These lighting tracks bolt to the ceiling. (Patriot Delon, model TK902). They each cost over $150. The units come with five moveable lights each. The unit has a five year warranty. Now, three years later, the LED lights are failing and flickering. I contacted Menards and they will not honor the warranty since I didn't keep my receipt. Yes, I know you can look up your receipt on their website but ONLY if you used a credit card. I used a combination of rebates and cash so no record is available. Menard's very "helpful" response was to take the lights off the ceiling, carry them into the store and see if the store will grant me a credit. I don't want a credit, all I want is a replacement light bulb. "Sorry can't help you, you don't have a receipt" is their response. So, in a nutshell, they don't believe I purchased the lights since I can't produce a receipt, they won't replace the bulbs and they refuse to search their records by model or SKU for me. Love that Menard's has finally come to Cleveland!Their selection and prices are fantastic and this place is huuuge. They have a lot of the items that Home Depot and Lowe's have, but I've found their prices to be significantly better. For instance, this large bucket of Preen weed preventer was around $20 there and Lowe's sold the same product for $8 more! Their selection of light fixtures and ceiling fans is second to none. Carpet, tile, widows, doors, appliances, showers, plants and flowers...you name it! We just bought a bunch of LED shop lights for the garage and basement and they're super bright! Love me some LEDs! Menard's also sells a limited selection of groceries...Frozen pizzas, bacon, salty snacks and candy. Their pet supplies department is great and they offer a wide range of brands. It's nice that this location is just a few miles from our house..and just around the corner from Lowe's...I predict that Lowe's will close within a year or so because of Menard's. Horrible experience with Debbie at Menards. We ordered pavers & had a confirmed delivery date online of May 9th. Then we get a call saying they can't do it because a truck was broken down, no problem so we schedule for Tuesday May 14. On May 11th, I get a call saying they never had a delivery scheduled and needed to set one up. Debbie was extremely rude about the situation and said they cou only do Friday May 17 ro Saturday May 18th but doesn't know if the truck will be fixed. My husband and I had to rearrange our schedules 3 times now. This was for a $750 order! read more

Some of Menards supplies are good. Not their stainless hardware though. It is a low grade magnetic stainless that rust. I bought some 1/4 -20 screws that were stainless. Very disappointed they rusted . Went and got same 1/4-20 stainless screws from Lowe's non magnetic no rust. read more

So been dealing with Menards for a while now and all in all thought they were a pretty decent place to get materials from for my remodeling business until yesterday when I decided to use their app to purchase $2600 in lumber in which it indicated that was all in stock at the Avon location so I submit my order receive a confirmation, then proceed to go rent a truck to haul all the lumber to the job site since it was such a big order and didn't wanna have to make several trips in my truck. But upon my arrival to the Avon Menards, I am informed that my order is not showing in their system yet it is showing confirmed on the app and on their website and has been taken out of my account. After speaking with management, I am given the runaround and end up having to leave more confused than I was on my arrival. And here it is a day later and they still have no information for me yet they are holding $2600 of mine and nobody has any answers for me at this point I feel robbed we're not talking about a couple hundred bucks here and this is not my first big purchase from them probably spent upwards of $45,000 in the last six months not to mention that material was needed for a job that we were already working And has now been pushed back a few days not to mention who knows when this is going to be resolved. Also managers give me attitude and act like they're annoyed with me coming up there several times and then constantly then not returning my phone call. I'm sure they wouldn't be very happy if they paid $2600+ dollars for something they needed that day, and I just held it in limbo and gave them no answers whatsoever as to why. They did however send me this email telling me it would be 12 hours yet that was yesterday at 4:45 and it's almost 24 hours later. I definitely will not be going there for big purchases anymore. KUDOS to the Black Friday team!!! Several told me I was 'crazy' to go out shopping on B.Friday but the Menards 11/26/21 team were AMAZING. I think there were more helpers than shoppers. The deals were conveniently located on the isles, people helped load heavier items both into my cart and into my car. Everyone was pleasant and upbeat. It was a WONDERFUL shopping experience. Finally made it to Menard's to see what all the hype was about, and I must say, it's all true! This place is a veritable mecca superstore, and then some. It probably has it's own Zip Code! It took me nearly an hour to walk around most of the store in order to 'take in' all they offer. They even have a grocery area that sells human and pet food. I didn't price compare to Lowe's or Home Depot, but from what i've read, Menard's is cheaper on many items. I can't wait to go back there when I get more time and moolah to spend! read more

I like the store. They have a lot of stuff but thats where it stops. I had a special order project and was given a guaranteed date of delivery. The project was built around the "guaranteed" date because that would have been the last step. Of course that date came and went with no product. When I called, it was of course "we can't guarantee special orders, they shouldn't have told you that" Well they did and my helpers already took the day off work to help, and now no product. I had to call numerous times to get halfed answers. I finally called the manufacturer myself and was told it would be about 9 to 10 more days. As a customer spending $2,300 I shouldn't have to hunt down my own product and have my helpers loose two vacation days. The store is great. Everything else, I just don't know. read more

This caused a delay in my shipment so now I have to wait 2 more weeks to have my items delivered. UPDATE: today is supposed to be delivery day. Please order online to have delivered. After a week I call to find the status on my order, told there still waiting on it being shipped to the store. They were stocked items and the representative in shipping (Justin) was extremely rude when I told him that I received the email saying everything is ready for pick up. Then he decided to look it up and see that everything was in and hung up under frustration. Call back talk to the manager who transferred me right back to the same guy who is being rude again. Menards on Cunningham rd in Cincinnati. I will never shop at menards again. I was checking out with 600 dollars of things and my card, which was current, was coming up declined. I asked for a manager and got Chris P. I asked if he could call and get my card authorized after showing him receipt that it was current. He held my card up towards my face and said it was in my name so I had to call. I politely told him that my home store called with me to expedite things then held the card up in the air and asked what other names are on the card. He immediately got offended and said he would have me physically removed from the store if I spoke to him that way... a teenage kid. LOL. It's the $59.98 Bamboo Expresso Folding Door thing. Please...save your money on this product. It is NOT of good quality and DEFINITELY NOT worth the $60 price tag on it at all. I couldn't be anymore disappointed. If it were $15-20 bucks...I MIGHT expect this quality but NOT being sold by Menards. Very disappointed. We ordered online for in store pickup (which was located at the wayyy back of the store) and got two parts of our order there. However the order pickup clerk misdirected us to the area where the 6' 2x4s would be and we spent excess time in the store when we could've been immediately directed to the outside barn where they are stored. Then we tried to go to the outside gated area for the barn and the online order barcode didn't work for the automatic gate. Fortunately the gate attendant was nearby and helpful letting us into the area. Pulling the 2x4s in the barn was efficient, yet some lumber pieces were a little iffy. However, there were still more cons than pros to this Menard's trip. In addition, most staff were wearing masks. But we did see some without masks, even inside. In the end, we would've liked to see more clear instructions on the u-pull for lumber and been made more aware of how order pickups work with better signage and directions. read more

I have previously reviewed the Avon location a 5 star and probably tooted their horn too soon. The store carries a lot of deals...but so does Lowe's and Home Depot. What has ruined my liking for Menards is their deliveries. I think they sub contract to those that are just drivers. But Menards fails to realize they are doing a disservice to their customers. My first experience was awful..Rory store mgr. made 2nd one worth it and dumb me tried a 3rd. Called 415p Sat where I was on list...spoke to Matt..asked for callback # was calling driver to see. 30 mins passed still nothing back from Matt??...so I called and talked to Angie. Wonderful customer service..listened..apologized which not her fault...said would try herself to call driver. She followed up but as well followed through!!! Unlike Matt she called back and had some info. Her efforts were appreciated...delivery 614pm...seriously...a day !'$,"? away. What a waste of one's time!! Angie did as she said..talked to her mgr. who did call - Brandon. He asked what happened etc...i explained. He apologized an agreed with things I stated...said would email Rory but that there were 3 that would get and I would get a follow up from them. Today Monday..nothing. Not a peep from 1 of 3?
