My wife and I have had an overall positive experience at this Menards, and now that we've been coming here for a while, we know when to come here and when to go to their competitors. We have found that the pros mostly outweigh the cons. We've saved some money coming here through the years and have almost always found what we've needed for own home repairs and yard maintenance. The store is clean, well organized, and store employees have always been helpful and friendly. I've used the Menards app to see if the store has what I'm looking for and to help me locate items once I've found them. That's very useful. We get a kick out of finding food and drinks there. Couldn't believe we found giardiniera (spicy relish often used on Chicago-style hot dogs) and other items there in a pinch. It's saved us from going to a much busier grocery store. We've rented their pickup truck to bring furniture to our daughter''s new place. That was a good value and rental was a snap. But there are three things that we have found not so great: 1.) Their garden section is hit-or-miss with plants, and sometimes the plants look a bit unhealthy. 2.) I wish product reviews were available on their website and app to help me decide if products I'm considering are good or not. 3.) I think the rebate system is terrible; unless you are spending a lot, sending in a rebate slip to get back 11% on a five dollar item isn't worth the postage stamp, and you aren't always guaranteed that an item has a rebate attached to it-we recently discovered that. Also the 'rebate' is store credit, so not really cash back in your pocket. read more

Recently had a talk with the store manager about an employee asking my fiancé Did she mention "bomb" because they spoke Arabic. lol not to mention the store manager tried to make the situation lighter by telling us about a employee he had to let go due to mentioning ISIS. We have spent ALOT of money here(Cuyahoga Falls Menards) with remodel products the last 3 plus years. We have an issue with a template for our kitchen remodel and werent asked proper questions PRIOR to ordering. We sent emails, phone calls, and talked in person to management. Extremely horrible responses in offering a resolution, esp from the "General Manager". You are losing our kitchen remodel business for approx $2000, for a $30 template issue. Plus any future business. Thats good customer retention. We will NEVER return and share this with others read more

NEVER Mennards EVER AGAIN!!! Why I will never shop here again was about my exiting the on-line pick-up area. The man at the gate, absolutely pleasant and proffesional at all times, checked out the inside of my car and then asked me to open my tailgate so he could make sure I didn't steal anything (my words, not his). Menards standard proceedure he said. I absolutely resent the insinuation that I was a potential thief and having my vehicle searched before I was allowed to leave!! Dealt with Serena (the manager) she was extremely rude. I purchased two shelves the sign said they were on sale for 9.99, they rang up 24.99 they did a price check and the guy said they were 24.99. I went back to take a picture of the sign and the gentleman who said they were 24.99 was in the process of removing the sign. I asked him to leave the sign so I could take a picture. I asked him why the sign said 9.99 he stated that it was a mistake and shouldn't have said that. I explained that it seemed dishonest to not honor the sign, to which he just shrugged and said I guess. I showed Serena the pictures and she said that she was not going to honor it regardless of what the sign said. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I won't shop here again! read more

The aisles are well-organized and all products seemed to be well stocked. We were able to easily find what we needed. The staff was working hard keeping the store shelves organized. This place is absolutely amazing. A beautiful new store in Cuyahoga Falls in Menards largest footprint. It features everything from building materials and an outside lumberyard to cabinets and appliances, housewares, home decor, a lawn and garden center and a pet and wildlife section. There's also this amazing corner of the store for convenience groceries. They even do bags right, not these crap thin ply bags you find at the Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart. Menard's has bags built for hardware. It's clean, it's beautiful, and everyone working there was beyond friendly! read more

Came here on new years to fix up one of my friends toilets. Menards had the rights things I needed for this simple replacement. Overall, very friendly guests. The layout here is exactly similar to the store in Joliet so for me I felt like I knew where everything was. Staff here is friendly and courteous. Surprised it was still selling Christmas decorations! Parking is easy to find. read more

Bought a new, 16 pack of Rayovac AA Batteries on Friday July 1st, 2022 from Menards. Theses Batteries were used in a $25. flashlight bought on Amazon over a year ago. The new batteries were put into the flashlight on Saturday and they fried the flashlight. We've changed the batteries before since we've had the flashlight with no problems until now. I took the batteries back to Menards and showed them the damage that was done, they did give me my money back for the batteries but would not replace the damaged flashlight. Menard's is very cheap and I should have gone to either Home Depot or Lowes. I will never go back there. Also a couple of years ago I sent in for the 11% rebate on some fencing I bought. Never got it. It's a scam. read more

Serena who I'm assuming is a manager has the WORST customer service. Full attitude and not helpful. I would pay more to shop at Home Depot or Lowes because there I have never encountered a rude person and everyone is very helpful. Recently submitted a rebate form to Menards that took several weeks to get back. Visited Menards on 5/5/23 to redeem rebate form and was advised the document could not be accepted by cashier whom was friendly. Cashier and myself proceeded to speak with I assume manager on duty whom I believe her name was Serena whom was extremely rude. Serena and another floor manager whom was also rude advised I would have to contact Menards again and try to obtain another rebate and drive back to store again. I asked Serena if they could assist to try and resolve and have rebate processed so I would not have to make another trip back. Serena advised they could not assist or process again and made no attempt to have problem resolved. Very poor customer service to customer. read more

I ordered a product online for in-store pickup. Upon being notified that the product was ready for pickup, I drove 45 minutes one way only to be told it was damaged. The store did not apologize for the fact that I had driven a long distance to be told my product was damaged. When I asked if they would reorder and have it shipped to my house to correct their mistake, they stated that they would if I wanted to pay for the shipping. Their consolation for their mistake was to refund the cost and not charge me a restocking fee of $25. The manager and clerk on the dock were unapologetic and rude. I also made a BBB complaint, in which their response was, we did not charge the customer a restocking fee, as if that was a benefit. Horrible customer service and a horrible way to conduct business. That will be the last time I do business with Menards. read more

Loved this store when it opened a few years ago. Be aware of special order lights. No where in the upstairs display is it posted you will be charged a 25% restocking fee for returns. I picked up my order which took a week to get in(delivered store pick up not even to my house) and returned the same day. Go to Lowes or Amazon. read more

I would like to thank the employees at the Cuyahoga Falls store for making my first experience with Menards a terrible one. I'm a newer home owner so I needed some help when I got to the store determining what I needed. I spent 10 minutes looking around the store until I finally found an employee to call someone over to help me from the building supplies department, because apparently they were all busy for the 20 minutes I was wandering around the doors and windows. Once I finally got someone to help, he was very polite and I gave him all of the information about my storm door needs, and asked him exactly what size door I would be needing. He told me I'd need a 36x80, and showed me one on display that I liked that was supposedly in stock. Spent 10 minutes looking upstairs and down with him and couldn't find one, so I told him I'd just order it online when I get home and have it delivered to the store so I could come get it when it comes in. Fast forward to 3 hours later, I've ordered the door online and am ready to call it a night when I get a notification on my phone with a new email, it's Menards, my door is ready to be picked up... at 8:30 PM. Miraculously, the door that wasn't in stock at 5:30 was not only in stock now, but was pulled and tagged and ready for me to come get it at 8:30. I call B.S. Regardless, I was still happy to be able to get my new door and get it home to install, so I make the 30 minute drive down to pick it up the next day, stuff it into my car, and drive it home. Unlucky me, it starts raining so installation will have to wait another day. Here we are on Saturday, the rain has passed and the sun is out. I remove my old, worn out screen door and start to hang the new one. I've got it all set up, I line up the hinge frame, attach the hinges to the door, and the damn thing is 4 inches too big for the door opening. Now, I'm thinking, ok, I asked the guy at the store what I needed, gave him all my measurements, so I must be doing something wrong here, so I take it back down, go back through the instructions, and even pull up a how-to video online. I go back through the process and sure enough, the damn thing is too big. So, I call up to the store and explain what's going on and ask if there's anyway I can bring this door back and get the right one since the guy sold me on the wrong size door, and after calling up the manager, "sorry, we can't do that, you already hung the hinges." So now I'm out $170 for a storm door that's the wrong size because their employee gave me incorrect information, and that seems pretty f-d up to me. So again, I say thank you, to the employee that gave me incorrect info in the first place, and to the manager that was incapable of rectifying his mistake, for making it an easy decision never to go back to Menards again. read more

This store is huge! I always enjoy shopping here even though I inevitably end up leaving with 1 or 2 (or more!) things I didn't even come for! Lol! The store is clean, the staff are helpful and nice, and they have an incredible selection of items. I much prefer Menards over Lowes or Home Depot because Menards has such a big selection to choose from, more options and better prices. This particular store is super nice. Clean, and they have just about everything here. There are so many associates you can't walk down two isles without seeing at least one. I found some pants here and they price matched for me with little issues. It ended up that one of the items I was buying was actually cheaper then what the shelf was listed for and $2 cheaper then what I was going to price match it with. The customer service reps were kind, polite, helpful, and courteous. read more

If you rent a truck here, make sure that you don't sign the return papers until after the inspection (even though they will try to have you sign them before) and make sure that you look over the truck yourself before leaving and that all scratches are documented before leaving the lot. Then, watch them inspect it when you get back. I had the truck for 30min. Drive 3 miles with 12' 2x4's hanging out over the rear drivers side tail light and yet upon return, they claimed there was a new scratch below the light. It was red (my vehicle is blue). This is how they make money. Do a search online. There's several others that have complained about the same thing. Best bet, rent from Home Depot. Same price, no hassle and they don't charge for mileage. read more

I was so excited to have Menard's right around the corner. I told all of my friends about the positive experiences I'd had at the location in Goshen, IN. I just knew this was going to be a great addition to Cuyahoga Falls. Or, maybe not so much. One day I purposely went to the store to purchase 2 filters for my refrigerator, one air and one water filter. I found one of the two, but couldn't seem to find the other, so I asked for help. The young man tried to tell me I could use the same filter for both. Uh, no. After I explained the difference he told me he could order the other filter for me. I told him I'd just drive down to Lowe's because they carry both filters. I left the store with a floor lamp and a couple of other things in my cart, about $100 total. No sale that day. Today, I left the store empty handed. I found what I wanted, but got to the registers to check out to find only 2 open. I waited, seeing someone go to a 3rd register, but she didn't open it. I waited some more. There was a troubleshooter/boss at the end of the registers, but she didn't do anything to alleviate the situation. After 5 minutes and 12 people in line between the 2 registers, I laid my $50 purchase down and walked out. I'm thinking that I won't even waste my time going to Menard's when I know they either won't have what I need or I'll have to spend half a day waiting to check out. read more

In March, I put a deposit on 7 samples of shingles. Most stores don't even require a deposit, but Menards charges a $20 deposit on each of them. I asked the employee in the dept how long I could keep the shingles and he said as long as I needed to. When I tried returning them today for a refund, I was told since it was over the 90 day return period that they could only issue me a store credit. I explained that it was a deposit, not a purchase, and told them what the employee had stated when I borrowed the samples. The manager said it was their policy to only give a store credit after 90 days. I will spend the store credit of $140 but after that, I will not return to Menards. Terrible customer service. From the lack of customers there today compared to Home Depot, where I shopped prior to coming to Menards, they should be concerned about losing any more customers. read more

Menards located at 125 Graham Rd Cuyahoga Falls I have decided never to shop at Menards located at 125 Graham Rd Cuyahoga Falls ever again. my roofing order was place by an employee that was ill trained and to fix his mistakes I had to make four trips from Medina to the Cuyahoga Falls Store to have the order straightened out, As one employee was loading the metal on the truck he bent it up and was unusable. Now I find out the 11% Rebate is worthless adjusted from $62.48 to $6.38 Rebates along with Menards are the most incompetent bunch i have ever seen.See the email I received from them after never receiving a check.. Very nice store. Contractors warning: Do not use their "special order" process unless you think 6 weeks is an acceptable lead time. I placed a special order back on 8/25/18 and it has still not been shipped to the store for me to pick-up. Needless to say, my customer is livid. This makes me look bad all because they cannot manage a special order. I will never buy my special order materials from there again. **Update 9/22/18**: I did finally get an assistant manager to talk to me at this store location. She actually called me back, unlike the previous 2 people who promised to call back and never did. Even though my order was updated to "In transit to store" on 9/14/18, I was told that somehow, the order did not get put on the truck. That was a full 7 days that the order was marked as "in transit" but in fact, was not in transit. I was told that the order will be put on a truck today (9/21/18), and should be at the store by the end of NEXT week. So sometime around 9/29/18. To recap, I placed the order 8/25/18 and I will not have this order until at least 9/29/18 and I am not holding my breath. These people will tell you anything, but in this experience, I do not think any of them know what they are doing. Their whole process is unacceptable.
