    "Processed" rebates that I have not received!

    Menards "offers" an 11% rebate many times throughout the year, where they have a rebate form attached to your receipt that you are supposed to detach, fill out a form, and submit it to receive a rebate in the mail that you can use for your next purchase at their store. I assume the rebate is intended to drive sales by bringing in more customers under the premise that they will receive a rebate, which is a great business plan for Menards; however, the promise of a rebate is just that, a promise. Over the past few months, I have spend quite a lot of money at Menards, and have submitted a total of four (4) rebates to-date. Yet, I have not received one single rebate in the mail. I have submitted two inquiries and have yet to receive a response. I am wondering if these rebates are even being mailed or if somebody in that department that processes the rebates is either pocketing the rebates or sending them to a friend or family member. I have attached a photo captured from Menards website that indicates two of the four rebates that I submitted as having been processed that I have not received. My question to Menards is, "where are these rebates?" And, don't give me the old song and dance about not being responsible for items getting lost in the mail. My suggestion is that instead of mailing these rebates, set up an online portal for those rebates to be retrieved from or simply place them in one of your internal servers where customers can request their rebates at the time of their next purchase. It is so simple it's stupid!

    Good store big but good. They have everything you need and more. I would recommend you go there to find whatever you need.

I made a payment at the store, and later discovered the funds were never properly applied. After multiple trips back and forth, several phone calls, and hours of stress, I am still waiting for my money to be located and returned. What made the situation worse was the lack of professionalism and customer service from management and staff. I spoke with employees and supervisors including Paul and Crystal, and instead of receiving reassurance or real assistance, I was met with dismissive attitudes, little urgency, and very limited knowledge on how to handle the situation. One manager simply told me to call "1-800-Walmart" and walked away. For a company this large, customers should not be treated as though their concerns are an inconvenience. I also contacted Green Dot and my credit card company, and both stated they could not see the transaction on their end. Meanwhile, Walmart advised me the payment was somehow "in limbo," but no one could clearly explain what that meant or provide a timeline for resolution. This involved nearly $500 -- not a small amount of money. The most frustrating part is that I still do not have my funds back. Customers should not have to investigate their own missing payments while store management appears confused about the process. Walmart seriously needs better training for supervisors and customer service staff on handling payment issues, transaction investigations, and customer communication.
