I was at Menards today and was helped by two young men that were exceptional. I had a problem with a product I had purchased that had a flaw and they were so helpful in getting me a replacement at no cost to me because it was still under warranty. They were the nicest most efficient employees and Menards is lucky to have them. I know they come across some very disgruntled people during the day with this unfortunate covid. Their names are Alex Davis hardware manager and Dustin Johnson guests services. Please let them know they made me feel very special and went above and beyond. Got screwed by menards. Ordered washer dryer delivery date, installers said could stack units as agreed. Paid 159 for install. Went Menards for refund. Told by store manager that gave pay 25% $579. restock fee because they could install as agreed. This sucks I'd really suggest that if need products installed go to Home Depot read more

Extremely poor customer service!! In my opinion store managers at this location are rude, arrogant and very unprofessional. The General Manager lacked empathy and consideration and had zero interest in fairly resolving the issue. I feel like he had a chip on his shoulder the entire time I was speaking to him because I told him I was calling Corporate to file a complaint against one of his "managers" and his store. I dont care if I was A one time customer or spend thousands of dollars at this store, they need to learn how to treat the customers and be RESPECTFUL. Instead of offering a discount on a defective product or damaged item that I paid over $500 for - expecting me to have no sink for 4-6 weeks in the home, pay someone to transport the damaged one which is over 250 pounds back to the store and pick up a new one and pay the contractor to come back SEEMED LIKE THE BETTER CHOICE CORRECT MR. GENERAL MANAGER? Great way to lose customers. There are other lumber stores and hardware stores in South Haven. Menards isn't the only choice for those who live here....maybe you should treat your customers a little more fairly and with a little more respect!! I will be contacting Corporate! read more

Absolutely worst experience today trying to exchange out a battery, terrible customer service from younger management lady

Worst experience I've ever had at a store. I shopped at Menard's in South Haven just one time. I bought an appliance, and got home to find it was severely dented. The hoops I've had to jump through with customer service are insulting and vile. I can't physically bring it back myself, and you are basically penalized for having purchased a damaged item and the most you can expect is a ridiculously minor "store credit" and weeks of paperwork and printing pictures and mailing forms. They grant a "store credit", because that works for "them"...and the customer totally loses. As if I will ever shop at Menard's again. Wow. AMAZON is the way to go, folks. read more

I had a unfortunate experience when I visited this Menard's. My mom and I had seen two different prices for the same item same sku matched up. Now this being a place that I thought prided themselves on customer service at least they did when I was a employee there did not show any sort of resemblance of that. There was someone that went behind us and had removed the price tag showing the price of 38.99 rather then the 44.99 now I'm not saying race played a part but If I was not a Black woman it would have been dealt with differently. The name of the manager was Carolyn who didn't show any bit of Customer Service at all and the one that saw the price being different was Ethan. Something needs to be done I used to love Menards but this visit at this location has tarnished some of that. I went in today for a plant light and a garden hose. I first had to walk half way through the store to find someone to ask about an amigo cart. They have only 2 and one has been sent in for repairs so only one left in the store and it was being used. When I asked an employee ( she looked to be in her early 20's) where I could find what I needed she waved vaguely to the corner and said lights are over there then pointed to the other end of the store saying the hose is out there in the garden section. I replied that I am disabled and do not breathe well enough to walk to the other end of the huge store. 0she GIGGLED!!!at my disability! When I told her it was not a funny thing she just smiled and looked at.me stupidly. Not even a hint of an apology. I then went to so called customer service to report the employees behaviour. Again I was not offered an apology though I was told which isle to find the plant light on. When I asked if she could have someone bring the garden hose to me as I could not walk so far she replied.."We don't do that. If you want uo to gather things up for you order them online then pick them up out back". That was when I walked out of the store. I will NEVER do busyness with menards again! The disrespect shown to me as a disabled customer today was beyond unexcusable. read more

I'm very disappointed with Menards customer service. I need a Lawyer just to understand the rebates, sales, returns and special orders. They are way too fussy to work with and their people are very confused and give conflicting information about their policies. Drive 30 miles to north and go to Lowes, it's worth the trip. read more
