I really think the customer service here is awful brought back a carpet stretcher I had rented the manager opened it to look at it did not close it all the way pick up the box and it fell out and hit my foot went to the hospital because the pain was so bad it was broke called and told the manager he said well what do you want me to do he did not even apologize to me and when I come in there they treat me like I am a stupid women that doesn't know anything they are the rudest people I have ever met. read more

Wow! I can't believe how RUDE the employees are here. It's UNBELIEVABLE! I rang the bell for help with counter tops, and waited, and waited, then the guy that showed up just snapped at me. He said, "the prices are here, what more do you want?" Then, I needed help loading it in my car, again I waited, and waited, and waited, and I asked the guy who finally walked by, "are you here to help me?", he said "I guess I can help you load, **loud sigh** if I HAVE TO!". What do the employees expect to be paid for? I'm pretty sure it's helping people load heavy items and answering questions about the products that they sell. I'll continue to be loyal to stores that have been here for decades. No more rude employees at Menards for me! read more

I don't understand an automated inventory system that can't count or employees that are not educated about the products they are selling!

I'm writing this review to recognize the outstanding employee who helped me. I was in mid last week, I think Wednesday or Thursday, looking for a particular screw. I had no idea what I was doing or what I was looking for. I reached out to an employee for help, and his patience blew me away! It took nearly 30-45 minutes to find the right one, but he remained patient, and although unsure at times, he kept doing his best to help me. I didn't catch his name, but he was an older gentleman who mentioned he's worked there since August 2018. Give that guy a raise! Very pleased with his customer service! I never really have a reason to shop at Menards, but I'll definitely be back! read more

What a shame! Until recently I was a die hard Menard's supporter/customer. My loyalty goes back decades when they were building pole barns as their main product. I remember in the early eighties having a Menard's pole BARN roof collapse from a record snow fall. The barn was many years old. Even though it was well out of warranty they stood by their lifetime roof guarantee and rebuilt the barn. THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I HAVE EVER SEEN SUCH CUSTOMER SERVICE. Fast forward to March 17 when my wife received here first correspondence from Menard's Liability Insurance Carrier. You see she had fallen in the Antioch IL. store. An employee of Menard's had failed to properly seal a can of paint he had mixed for her. The paint spilled in through the cart and as a result she slipped and fell onto the concrete floor. The event was handled totally wrong by the employees and manager of the store. We wrote Menard's a letter expressing our dismay. We received a response letter from Menard's passing the buck back to the insurance carrier. Of course, they should do that, but they just want it to go away regardless of the fact we have still not received a settlement for the damages my wife suffered. Where is that dedication to the customer I once experienced so may years ago. Perhaps the Menard family has lost track of their own reputation for excellent customer service. All we have from Menard's is: "We have also forwarded a copy of your letter to those involved so we can assure proper responses from our team members if such an unfortunate incident should happen in the future." One of their employees ran into my truck with a forklift causing over 5K in damages. It punctured the front tire so we had to get the spare out from underneath truck. After laying on our backs trying to remove spare and ruining our t-shirts in the process I told the store manager the least he could do is give us a couple shirts to replace the ruined ones. Said he couldn't do that ! BS! Poor customer service to say the least! read more
