I visited this week, and while the staff are incredibly friendly, it's unfortunate they don't have anything worthwhile to offer. The staff are always friendly and the store is kept nice and clean! I remember the day they first opened, I knew Tracy had something special. These kinda chains are awesome to support because you can see the local family that owns it all the time. It just so happens to be my 4th grade teacher! One of my fondest memories growing up was our trips to Disneyland we would take every few years. My grandpa, who was like a father to me, would always take us to the Tiki room where they served Dole Pineapple soft serve. Our pineapple soft serve with Papa was always the highlight of the trip. I was excited to see they had a "dole whip" like flavor of froyo and couldn't wait to try it! I love how they have sample cups (as many as you need) available to try as many flavors as you want! They had a whole wall with many different flavors (at least 10). They are all so tasty it's hard to choose. Good thing you can put as many flavor combos in your cup as you desire! There's only one size cup and it's easy to fill quickly! We got two cups both less than 1/2 full cups without any toppings and still paid almost $10! Brought my family in to Menchie's for the first time since Covid hit and we did not know what to expect with the new guidelines in place. My kids aced their grades this trimester so I decided to take them out for a treat. We had been planning this all week and were excited for our special reward and boy did Menchie's deliver! New measures were in place. Of course, no dine in seating but there were tables to enjoy outside. There were two friendly associates with masks and gloves filling orders for customers. The process involves filling out a form which includes all flavors and toppings and handing the info over to the associates. We were very impressed with the level of care the associates took with our requests, making sure to include all toppings. We were not aware but the toppings that used to be spooned in were now in small, pre-selected to-go containers. Where we typically add a small bit, we now had a lot and wound up going a little crazy with toppings which to be honest was totally fine! When all was said and done, we were impressed with the safety precautions Menchie's has implemented. In the past, I've utilized the space in Menchie's for cheer post season parties, where Menchie the character comes out and gives the kids a moment of happiness. I'm glad to see, during these difficult times and with safety measures in place, Menchie's is still able to give our family a happy place to visit and celebrate. went in for menchies today, when i got to the topping area there was chocolate spread all over the counter and it got onto my pants. it was falling off the side of the counter and an employee looked at it then continued to walk past me and pour herself a cup of froyo from one of the machines and not say anything. the spoons in the topping area were also covered with the sauces, and some toppings were dropped into other topping trays. no sort of cleanliness at all, and there was a hair in my cup. the tip screen makes no sense for a self-serve place, ESPECIALLY when they don't do their job of keeping the place clean. read more

For the yogurt I will give 5 stars, for service I will give 5 stars, but for advertisements I will give 0 star. I brought my son for a treat for his bday, on their cup it says free froyo whatever that is if its your bday. So we ask for it, then they said you need to download the app and register. So we did that, and then after they said you need to be 13 years old to qualify. My son is only 8 years old. They are giving false hope to innocent kids. I can afford to buy it, but the point is their fooling customers. read more

We are regulars, like weekly. Staff is always very friendly. I typically bring my 3 year old daughter, but occasionally will bring my autistic 4 year old son with us. Unfortunately on Wednesday I met the owner, and as she walked in, she immediately looked my son up and down and said, "whose kid is this?!" I responded and said, "sorry it's my son, he's autistic." She then proceeded to look at him completely disgusted, and said, "OH. Well we can't have him touching all the cups". I've brought my son here a handful of times, and staff has always been understanding and accommodating. In fact, the employee working that day noticed how overwhelmed I was and offered my son a sticker. I would never let my son "touch all the cups", but yes he reached for the cups, and I redirected him. He was having trouble regulating himself that day, possibly due to it being like 90 degrees inside of the shop. Also- since I'm here being honest, at one point we took a few months break because we could taste the cleaning chemicals that were used on one machine. When asked if they had just cleaned the machine that morning, they admitted that yes they had, and apologized. Anyways. Super disappointed in the owner. The way you talk to people matters. I've never felt so unwelcomed with my son. You own an establishment that caters to kids, maybe you should learn to be a little more empathetic to ALL types of kids. read more

I've been coming to this location since they opened in February of last year but only really became a regular 8 months ago when I moved to the area, it's through these regular visits I've become an even bigger fan and decided it's about time I awarded them an extra star. The owners and staff here are awesome. A couple of the girls that work here along with the owners recognize myself and my Husband whenever we come in now and are always pleasant, greeting us as soon as we walk in the door, telling us about latest flavors and events they have coming up and generally making conversation with us. I also love that the owners are really involved in the community and with many events with the Children too. The Yogurt is still as delicious as before with new flavors every week but being a bit of a Yogurt obsessive visiting 2-4 times a week got very costly so have scaled it back A LOT and now buy the pre packed ''to go'' tubs - 32oz for $6.99. *TIP* Waffle bowls here are FREE! Most locations only have it on one specific day or during promotions but it's every day here and includes the Chocolate dipped and Sprinkle cones too. ** BIRTHDAY TIP ** While you're there be sure to also pick up a ''My Smileage'' card. I am so disappointed with this location! We walked in along with other customers. Filled our cups of yogurt to the fullest. As we were filling our cups the young ladies at the register were going back and forth on the phone with the boss or manager explaining to him that their card system went down. This boss could not even guide them or help the young woman through anything, they were practically panicking! Here you had a long line of customers waiting in Menchie's to pay for their yogurts. Without the young woman explaining to the customers before they waisted our time in filling our cups they continued to argue with one another on what to do. The boss/manager on the other side of the line was clearly unprofessional. This so called owner/boss asked these young woman at the register to ask all the customers to put their yogurts in the freezer. The customers asked the young woman "can we just weigh our yogurts and charge us when the owner makes his way" The young woman looked at one another in confusion and called the boss once again, he said over again that he will be there in 5 or 10 minutes and asked the customers again to freeze their yogurts!! By that time our yogurts will turn into soup puddles that are frozen! This in not ice cream! It's yogurt! It doesn't hold up!! The boss to this location has no leadership skills whatsoever and shouldn't be running this location! It's not something a respectable business manager/owner or leader would (or should) do. Instead he would rather trash the yogurt and make customers unhappy! The young woman asked every customer to toss their yogurts in the trash! Instead of charging us, holding our receipts until their boss shows up at his convenience. We could have sat in there and enjoyed our yogurts. My kids and I tossed all of our yogurts in the trash along with other customers. We will never go back to this unprofessional Menchie's location ever again. Sadly this is the only location in the Mountain House, Tracy area. The experience was very bad. This tells you so much about the people running this place. They would rather throw the yogurt in the trash before they accommodate you! All they had to do was print out receipts for all the customers until the problem was solved. The boss and the service was clearly the problem here. What a mess of a location! read more

Menchie's is an amazing place, and I have to say that their pineapple frozen yogurt is the closest thing to the Dole Whip available at Disneyland that I have found outside of the park. Delicious, refreshing, and light enough for me to pretend that it is practically the same nutritionally as eating a fruit salad. (Shhhhh...don't burst my bubble, people!) If yummy desserts and a lovely staff wasn't enough to already get me in the door (spoiler alert, it totally is), they have also earned my undying support for generously participating in several fundraisers for various charity events throughout this extra tough year. I've even had custom cakes made which were wonderful, they were able to add an edible photograph on the cake for my sons birthday. The vanilla is very good but what discovered yesterday was my favorite yogurt by far, its called Just the Creme and its like frozen whip cream.
