    Pastrami bagel sandwich 5/5
    Yiuing P.

The bagel sandwiches made our lunch healthy and delicious! Bagel manager took our order and patiently explained all the menu items. All bagel sandwiches came with refreshing and spicy pepperoncini, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion thinly sliced, mayo, mustard, your choice of cheese. California club bagel- with all of the above in your choice bagel with bacon and sliced chicken. 5/5 Chicken platter salad - peppery, light mayo chicken salad with crunchy celery, tomatoes, cucumbers and fresh romaine. Balsamic vinaigrette was great not too sour or sweet. 6/5 Pastrami bagel- Good solid pastrami, with all of the above. Solid. 5/5 Breakfast bagel- tomato, bacon, egg. Not sure of the rating, did not eat. Overall, i will be back for the healthy bagel sandwiches and delicious salad

    Eggwhich with Lox

A solid, bagel sandwich was all I needed on a Saturday morning! They have lots of bagel options to choose from. I got the eggwhich with lox, basically smoked salmon and egg and it was delicious. The line was longer than expected and we waited probably twenty minutes before ordering and waited another ten for our bagels. Their cashiers seemed to be stressed because of the line, nothing particularly welcoming in their service.

If you're looking for fresh bagels in town, this is where it's at! Bagel street cafe is the local spot for fresh bagels and bagel sandwiches. Recently, they expanded their coffee drink menu so we can get a nice latte or frap to accompany your bagel at brunch. I believe they expanded their hours at some point, as they're now open until 4pm daily. I only take one star away because they don't seem to be equipped for those extended hours. We stopped in around 12:30 and ordered 3 sandwiches, and 3 cream cheese bagels. Their variety at that point was already extremely limited, so I'm glad we didn't come in any later. Our favorite bagels (jalapeño cheese + seed) were already sold out for the day. I hope they're able to plan and gauge volume to better match their hours soon. In the meantime, if you're headed here - get there early.

    Well lit and clean interior!

This little cafe has such good vibes. It's always immaculately clean and well organized. We are always warmly greeted and the service is excellent. The bagels are always delicious as well. I recommend getting there early before they run out of your favorite ones. They carry a broad variety, so even if they do run out of your favorite, there's always a new flavor to discover. The coffee is so delicious, and they have pastries, muffins, and cookies as well. If you're in the neighborhood you owe it to yourself to check them out.

My love for bagels runs deep, especially a good egg bagel. Bagel street cafe egg bagels never disappoint! I typically call my order in here on weekend as I'm on my way to Modesto and they are always so friggin busy! I just recently had my first wrong order and I was so bummed but didn't have time to deal with it as I already started driving out to work. They also seem to be very heavy handed on the cream cheese here so be on the lookout for that.

Kind of expensive but if you're looking for a good breakfast sandwich this is the place. They were super busy when we were there. There was plenty of room to eat as well.

#3. Egg & sausage on a plain bagel
    Trisha A.

I went mid-morning and had no line, fast service, and a yummy breakfast bagel. I ordered the #3 (eggwich with sausage, on a plain bagel) & Cinnamon Crunch bagels to-go. Apparently their bagels have no fat, oil, or preservatives! Incredible tasty treat.

Hire new people!!! This is the worse bagel ever made!!! Too cheap!!!
    Jackie P.

No star... this place is super cheap with their ingredients, ordered a simple bagel with cream cheese, onions, with hardly any cream on the flat bagel and 1 thin slice of onions for $8. Do better, don't open a business and be cheap about it!!! TERRIBLE BAGEL CAFE EVER!!!

We opted for the couches and were comfy. Good amount of foot traffic but pretty quick to get our drinks, food was a lot slower and when our names were called out, it was impossible to hear so we had to keep going up to check. I got their marshmallow latte - 2/5. Aesthetically pleasing but unfortunately the taste was not my favorite. I the drink was far too milky, coffee blend was not strong at all, very lite. For food I originally ordered a "half" avocado toast meaning to order a "full". When I went back to correct my order, prior to them making it, I was charged 2 halves instead of the difference.. I didn't question it. But, a "half" is just 1 slice of store bought sourdough while a "full" is 2 slices. Sourdough was basic, store bought for sure. I shared half with my sister who ordered the cottage cheese, prosciutto and arugula one and unfortunately it was only prosciutto and cottage cheese. Definitely was missing the arugula or something else to make it stand out. We were originally offered to have cucumber slices on the side and declined but a few minutes later went back to ask for them and they were sold out of cucumbers, arugula, basically everything they could offer on the side the guy said. 2/5 for these toasts. All in all, 3 stars from me for this cafe with the majority of the rating going to the cafe itself instead of their food/drinks. Definitely a cute little place to come in and read, work, or just hangout. I still go think there's hope for their other drink options so I would not not come back to try something else.

You honestly can't get anything close to these drinks anywhere near and dare I say the bay included because they make it all from fresh (including fresh fruit juices, boba balls, jellies, etc) and you can really taste the quality and love they put into every drink they make. While I do have my favorites (in both Vietnamese coffees as well as fruit juices), I actually haven't had a drink I didn't like - and I buy a lot of different drinks each week, sometimes even ordering with delivery during the week in gallon size quantities because we are that hooked! We absolutely love the lihing drip they make in the summer and put on some drinks that we buy it on the side in a tub!! They've also on occasions had some food items that have been very tasty. Keep in mind they don't always have food on their menu but when they do you should consider yourself lucky to catch it and take it as a sign to go for it!! You won't be sorry! The customer service is stellar with the owners Kat & Sam who are consistently friendly, accommodating and really get to know their customers, you can tell they put their heart into what they do. I love that they offer their customers to try things before committing (although who are we kidding, anything you taste I'll bet you'd like!) These boba baes and everything they do are definitely worth the hype, so I suggest you hop on board and grab you some... and don't forget the BALLS!!!

NARRATIVE: I arrived just after 7:00 am of a Wednesday and found the place open and to myself. After checking out their extensive wall menu, I ordered a plain Bagel with Lox, an Asai bowl and a Sea Salt Caramel iced coffee to go. Like I mentioned above, they have an extensive menu which really impressed me. I was also impressed by their super large espresso machine. My order took about ten minutes to prepare and I headed off with my bag and drink towards home. At the house and before tearing into my food, my camera ate first. My Bagel with Lox was dynamite. Super thick cut of fresh salmon with cream cheese, capers, onion and cucumbers gave the sandwich a nice crunch. My Sea Salt Caramel coffee was great and their Asai bowls are impressive. SCENE: Located at the corner of W. 11th Street and East Street, Isabel's Cafe now occupies the old Sandwich Spot location. RECOMMENDATION(S): Awesome food! Highly recommended. The only negative I had was, unlike Sandwich Spot where you could watch your sandwich being made, Isabel's doesn't have that option. Everything is prepared in the back, away from the customers.

I wasn't sure if this was a chain or not, but looks like it's not. It's got its own unique style of stuff and ways of serving ice cream. 100% the way to go is to get the 4 flavor sampler for $9.75, the scoops are basically normal size. My favorite ice cream I tried was the Taro Mochi, it had little chunks/bits of chewy mochi in it, so good. They've got a countertop to sit at with connect 4, tic tac toe, and other games to play. Everything I tried here was incredible, and my wife loved all the dairy free options. The cotton candy and bubblegum ice creams were some of the best I've had, the cookie butter cream soda float is great and creative, but my favorite are their shakes- same with my wife. I tried white chocolate cookie butter, oreo, and my favorite was chocolate, but they were all really good. Anyway, the last 2 times before my last visit, on their regular shakes, and on the dairy free also, something was off. I've seen other reviews mention this recently. For us, both times they tasted too milky. We hoped it was just a fluke. Our last visit we decided to get ice cream, and it looks like if I go into too much detail they will try and get this removed. I wonder how many other reviews they've done this for? Tthe ice cream was pretty good, but it didn't hit the spot like it usually does. Also dealt with a very rude and unprofessional employee- first time I'd seen her there. All the other employees there have been very friendly and professional. I probably won't be returning, but I think 3 stars is fair. I don't know if they changed their process, made ingredient changes, or if employees aren't making things correctly, but there's been a drop off in quality and customer service.
