At the time, everything went smoothly--the work looked great, and I was satisfied enough to recommend the company to my sister, who also hired them. Based on that positive experience, I recently brought Gustavo back to extend our patio an additional 12 feet. That's when everything went downhill. We originally discussed a 10-foot extension, but after asking if 12 feet was feasible given the slope of our yard, Gustavo assured us it wouldn't be a problem and that he'd build a small retaining wall if needed. Which was indeed needed, but is crooked and not high enough on the left side. Instead, a different crew showed up--with Gustavo--and rushed through the job much faster than the previous one. My spouse was home during the project and raised concerns with the workers about how uneven the extension looked, especially on the side that should have helped direct water runoff. They dismissed those concerns and insisted it was properly leveled. We paid half in cash when the concrete was delivered and the rest when the job was "finished." (Note: They don't accept credit cards.) After letting the slab cure for a few days, we tested the drainage by spraying water on it. Just as we feared, water pooled in the center and along one side--clear signs of poor leveling. We immediately sent Gustavo videos and photos. He responded and said he would take care of it. When he finally came out, he acknowledged the pooling, but instead of taking accountability, he blamed us for choosing the 12-foot extension--even though we had asked him directly if it would be an issue and gave him the option to stick with 10 feet. His "fix" was to take a saw and cut a rough, uneven channel along the edge, claiming that would help drainage. It didn't. He offered a few additional "solutions" and that he would check his schedule and get back to us. I also asked for a night to think about them. Since then, I've reached out to him multiple times with no response. He has completely ghosted us, leaving us with a flawed, unusable patio and no recourse except legal action. Bottom line: This company does not stand behind their work, does not communicate professionally, and does not take responsibility when things go wrong. Save yourself the stress and go with a reputable contractor instead.

JK Concrete & Paving came out and demoed both the garage and driveway on day one along with doing all the form work.
