I hired Emmanuel Mendez to remove two trees, he came and removed the trees and I paid him $1200. He was to put mulch at my property later. But, he showed up when I was not there and dumped mulch along with 60 logs which I did not want. I called him to come remove the logs and he made numerous excuses and failed to respond or answer my numerous calls. It has been 4 months and I recently texted him with photos of the mess and again no response. It will cost me $400 to have these logs removed. He is good at tree removal and getting paid but not finishing the job. Be careful when dealing with this slick individual. read more

I should have read the reviews first! This guy is not reliable and takes your money and runs. The only good thing I can say is he showed up the first time and took out the first tree but never came back to do the second one. They were supposed to come back the second day to take another tree and finish cleaning up but no call no show. I called and he said his crew was too tired and they would come the next day but again no call no show and he wouldn't answer or return my calls. They destroyed my Maple and Aspen trees, broke a window, and tore one screen. I should have checked the reviews first but I was so excited to find someone that could come right away and quoted a reasonable price that I jumped on it too quickly. I agreed to have Emmanuel Mendez remove one small tree, cable/brace two others that were leaning and remove dead branches from a spruce. He was to place the mulch from the removed tree around aspens in my front yard. Total cost was $2,000.00. His crew removed the tree, cut the dead branches and then aimed the mulch machine at the base of the aspens, blowing mulch all over my yard rather than shoveling it. They were supposed to bring additional mulch the next week but never came back. The crew also bent a downspout. Mendez then told me he had to order the cabling and would be back. Has never returned and has ignored all my texts and phone calls for almost 2 months. read more

These guys did a fantastic job. I had 13 huge pine trees trimmed and they've never looked so good. Inconsiderate employees who blocked me in a parking spot that I couldn't get out of (because there was a curb right next to my vehicle) and their truck accessory trailer blocked my vehicle. They went into Panda Express to get food. Plenty of other places they could have parked like in the spots circled in the picture. Further up past the stop sign. Anywhere but blocking me and the white truck that was parked in a spot across from me, who couldn't back out. Plus the trash truck from coming in to get trash if needed. read more

this company came out for tree service removal and agreed to stump grind. I asked them to leave the big pieces and remove the rest. They asked to be paid and then never came back to remove the stumps or the small pieces. they did ok but did not finish the job. I am not happy with there service. The rate was low but was it worth it? They hid some ginormous logs under all the branches. I called and the owner said he would come by to cut them but never showed up. I had to pay a lot extra for the debris removal because of it. Next, they left chain oil spills on my sidewalk in my yard. Most importantly I asked the owner to show proof of insurance before starting any work and had followed up a few times... he just sent his crew and they started the work and I never did see proof of insurance. Please DO NOT USE Mendez Tree Removal (Emmanuel Mendez) 303-434-0375. We paid them for removing two trees (one our neighbors) and for stump grinding. They removed the trees and then no called, no showed for 4 different appointments for the stump grinding with NO communication. I have talked to Emmanuel Mendez several times and he's not apologetic, makes various excuses, and says he'll for sure be there for the next agreed upon time. We also requested money back for the stump grinding portion which he has not done. I just completed a review at the better business bureau. He only takes my calls after the first two no shows if I call on an unrecognized number. If you need stump grinding, John at We Grind Stumps in Erie is fantastic. We ought to have just had the trees done with Mendez (they had done trees for us before) and used John at We Grind Stumps. I told Emmanuel if he didn't show up yesterday I would take action against his company. He said no worries, he'd be there. He didn't show, and no communication. When I had a friend call him later in the day, he texted back asking how he could help. Total lack integrity.
