I've been here a few times and it's usually a positive experience. The clearance rack to the right of the entrance is a hit. You can get some deals that are so cheap it will make you think twice about whether you're in the Salvation Army or Goodwill. The one time I had to get fitted for a suit, the tailoring was done within a week, and done properly. The staff tends to be hit or miss, but that could be said for anywhere. Rarely does anyone ask if you, the customer, needs assistance. One time I approached the register to pay and had to wait for the manager to yell at the four teenagers working behind the counter to cash me out. Strictly based on the inventory, this location gets 5 stars. And if they don't have what you need, it can be ordered by you or the store. read more

$200+ rental suit for my son who was to be Ring Bearer in upcoming wedding. My son was measured 3 times and when the suit arrived nothing fit, not even close. Took 2 alterations sessions to get it right. The service was terrible at every encounter -long waits, no help, someone asks if you need help promises to "be right back" and disappears.... When we returned the suit, I was told to keep the return receipt because "they" have been losing suits in transit. WOW! read more

Worst men's Wearhouse This is the worse Men's Wearhouse in the US. I have bought suits from a couple different places in my life, including at least 3 different men's Wearhouse's, and this is by far the worst of them all. When I tried to buy a custom suit on sale they told me at the end of the purchase that they would not honor the corporate sale that was advertised online. Even though I asked if custom suits were on sale, showed them the ad and was told yes. I still ended up getting the suit because I needed it for a wedding. It took 5 different tailoring to get it even remotely correct. The person I worked with convinced me to get a bigger size then I needed. So they had to tailor the pants way more to get them to fit correctly. They also told me that if I got functional buttons that they could not tailor the suit. Which both of my brothers ordered custom suits and we're not told that, but they went to a different men's Wearhouse. The first time I had it tailored the seamstress didn't say a word and ended up making both legs different lengths and both arms different lengths. After the last one I had to just take the suit because I was out of time. The suit ripped right next to the pocket an hour after I was wearing it. Do not go to this men's Wearhouse. You will have nothing but trouble. I could write a lot more but this review is already to long. Update: Men's Wearhouse corporate reached out to me and after some back and forth. They offered to give the the amount I spent on the suit on a store gift card to use at a different store. read more

I would say that selection here is a 5. They have a wonderful array of suits, sport's coats, and even Lucky Brand jeans. The selection of shoes is also quite excellent. I would say that service is a 2 or 3. The person that helped us was great. The unfortunate thing is that he was balancing between helping us and two other people. There were two employees up at the front standing around. They made eye contact with me and made no effort to do anything. I figured that maybe they had to stay up front. It was only later when the gentleman helping us walked us up and checked us out that I learned that they could have probably came and helped. Kudos to the gentleman that helped us while also juggling two other customers. read more

I had a great experience every time I went in. Ethan, assistant mgt, was very helpful to me and my soon to be father-in-law and helped us find the right suits for us. We were there this last Labor day weekend when they had a buy one get one free on everything in the store. Two suits for the price of one, two pair of jeans for one and two pair of shoes for one. Can't beat that deal. They also have a "Perfect Fit" program when you send 500$ you get a 50$ gift card. Normally that would have been about 1400$ and we paid a little over 700$ for all. They do fittings and tailoring right there on the spot with about 10-12 day turn around on tailoring. It may be even quicker because it was super busy with the sale going on. Outstanding customer service. I would give Tom alone a 4.5 for customer care. The store is/was being remodeled and i got "putty" from a counter that required a solvent to remove. Had it not been for the state of the store I would give it a 4. Quality and service were excellent but selection was limited in my opinion when it came to shirts and ties. We came in to rent a tux and we're only helped by an employee who had no idea how to do this. He was unprofessional and completely unhelpful. Eventually after asking upwards of 10 times for assistance, we were able to talk to an experienced employee who made no apology for the terrible service. I won't be going anywhere else for a suit (not that I need one, but the men in my life do). We went in a couple weeks ago in dire need of a suit for an upcoming medical school interview and were completely overwhelmed walking in and seeing so many options. Luckily, Tiffany met us three feet from the door, and has been our go-to sales lady/ fashion adviser ever since. She was able to find two suits that looked absolutely perfect, and since there was a bogo sale going on, we decided to actually get one of those (a charcoal wool Calvin Klein, it's stunning) and actually custom order a lighter grey one that we will be picking up next week. The first suit was tailored and ready to go in just a couple days, which is great, we were able to find many options on shirts and ties as well! When I had an issue with an online order (a surprise pair of shoes to go with that suit), everyone in store was ready to help with both advice and a different pair of shoes. The pair I had ordered was not in stock at the store, but they were happy to offer to have them shipped and expedited so that I would have them in time, though I ended up just choosing a similar pair from what was in stock - they're also great. The online pair had been on sale, and the pair in store was not, something I didn't notice until I got home with the exchange receipt - they had simply marked down the price to give me a straight exchange, an extremely pleasant surprise. If you want the best customer service you can get, come here, they will take care of you, and you will leave feeling confident in your decisions, and new clothes. read more

Now I know there are a whole lot of "Suit Snobs" out there who will say "I buy nothing but an Anderson & Sheppard" or better yet, I own only "Caraceni" suits. I will also bet they only own 2 suits. Men's Wearhouse has been around for a very long time. I was so excited to see them open up an outlet up here. I agree they are not the before mentioned suits, BUT I would categorize them in the same League as J. Press or Hickey-Freeman. The tailors that are on staff are excellent, the choices are good, the accessories, (shirts, cufflinks ties) are just great. And the quality is perfect. The prices are PHENOMENAL. On one occasion the manager was rude to her staff in front of customers. On another occasion, several staff followed me out of the store and accused me of shop lifting the jacket I had just picked up from the tailor. I'm glad I had the receipt. The sales staff seem kinda young to be selling suits to older professionals. Unfortunately in Anchorage there is not much to chose from now that Andre's has gone into retirement. Had an extremely bad experience a few months ago while attempting to pickup some suits for alternations. Manager did call me after 2 days and has an honest conversation with her regarding the customers service. Things have changed. Customer Service has improved 10 fold and I believe has now become part of the culture of the store. If you have had a previous bad experience give them another try. Had some interviews coming up and I needed a new suit. Upon entering I was greeted by Thomas Felli, a new hire. He was polite and professional throughout the entire experience. He assisted me with everything I was looking for, made suggestions, and explained the different services that they could provide. At no point did I ever feel pressured to buy the things I was trying on as I tried on a variety of different suit looks. I had to come back a few days later after my successful interview in kind of a rush as I had just realized I needed a second suit for a follow up interview that was coming up the next day! I came in looking for Thomas again, but was greeted by Leif Anderson instead since Thomas was out that day. Leif proved that he could duplicate the exceptional customer service and experience that I had received on my previous visit. He was very intelligent about the options and varieties I could choose from. I explained to him that I needed the alterations to the clothes I was buying that same day as the second interview was tomorrow; he calmly asked when I needed them back, that he would alert the seamstress of the situation, and would have them back to me by the end of the day. My overall experience with this particular men's warehouse on Dimond has definitely made me into a repeat customer due to their helpfulness and ability to work with my schedule in order to get me what I needed. read more

As a larger guy I find it difficult if not sometimes disappointing trying to find suits, shirts and blazers. It can often lead to embarrassment when you are almost laughed at when requesting a size larger than 18 1/2 in a shirt. Today I discovered Men's Wearhouse on Diamond. Not only did they have a great selection in my size but Red, the young man that assisted me, made the experience pleasant and comfortable. I have avoided wearing and shopping for anything other than polos and jeans for the last time! Thanks to Red I have found a place that knows how to treat a big guy that just wants to look nice. The prices seem a little out of my range but I have no way of comparing since this is the first time in 10 years I have even attempted to buy any type of dress clothing. Huge shout out to Red! Let me start off by saying I don't normally do reviews but I felt this was needed. The customer service was horrible. I was renting a tux for my friends wedding. When we went in for the fitting the staff was more busy talking and goofing with each other than to help. I was "fitted" super fast with no measurements taken and was told to just try on different clothing till they got close to the fit. I figured they would tailor it after but no. Then came close to time for the wedding 2 days before and I never received a phone call or email that the tux arrived I had to go in personally and find out if it showed. Again the visit was quick and the staff was too busy talking with each other. The suit was not right but I was told that it was too late to make changes, but they happily took my money. Wedding day came and not one of the grooms men's tux's were right they were either too small or too big for everyone in the service. Lastly when I returned the tux they took the suit and asked if I wanted a receipt even though I had no use for it. I tried looking for a survey and couldn't find one either. For the outrageous price these tux are and the service save your money and find else where. read more

We intended to spend an entire weekend shopping for my fiance's suit at several different stores around town. We ended up at Men's Wearhouse on Friday evening, thinking we would just look around and maybe get him sized. I got a little attitude from the salesman in the rental department which turned out to be in our benefit, because he set us up with Alberto. Alberto is a no-fuss kind of salesman and you can tell he takes style seriously. My fiance is partial to pinstripes and Alberto managed to find a suit that was in a shade of grey we both liked with pinstripes that my fiance really liked. Since they had such a great sale (Two for the price of one), we decided to get a solid black suit, too. Alberto picked a great jacket fit for my fiance and was patient enough to search out more pinstripes, after my fiance wavered on the solid black suit. We had a great time picking out the suits and then the accessories to match and Albert's wisdom was much appreciated. Our first stop ended up being our only one, as we purchased everything we needed that Friday night. Two suits, two shirts, four ties, two pairs of shoes, socks and a belt for less than $1300, and a priceless experience. (My fiance wore the grey suit recently for a photo session and he said it was incredibly comfortable, which tells me their tailor/seamstress does a great job. Also, I brought one of his shirts in to be pressed before the photo shoot and they did it in less than fifteen minutes for no charge. This has been one of the worst buying experiences I have ever had. My best friend is getting married in November. He arranged to get the suits from men's wearhouse out of shear convenience. That way those of us who live around the country could hope for some sort of consistency. I go into my local MW here in Anchorage to get measured and buy the suit and accessories. Nobody greets me for a good five minutes and when they do it is half assed and dejected. I tell the sales woman the occasion and the last name that the suit information is under. She was unable to find any information on it and instead of offering alternatives or help she tells me I need to figure it out... at this point I am pissed off, but have little choice as to where I should take my business. I pull up the suit on the MW website on my phone and show it to her. She doesn't even look twice at it before she goes to a rack and picks out a jacket. She asks me my size to which I reply "I don't know", giving an exasperated sigh she calls the tailor over who measures me and says, "we don't have your size". I go through the process of ordering the proper jacket and shoes, then try on the pants for tailoring. I put the pants on and step out to the tailor who marks the pants up without a word to me and tells me to change back into my clothes. There was no mention or recommendation for style, break, pleats/no pleats etc... just mark 'em up and move to the next customer. After ordering the shoes and jacket I leave $650 lighter. About a month passes while I am offshore before I go back into the store. There was no call or email telling me my order was waiting and when I go to the store it takes them 1/2 hour to track down the order. They carelessly throw the jacket and pants on a hanger and hand it to me. I remind them that I had the pants tailored and paid in advance to have the jacket tailored when it arrived. The sales lady rolls her eyes and shows me to a dressing room. I try everything on and it seems to fit ok so I step out of the dressing room and without even getting up from her desk the lady says, "looks great no tailoring needed, change back into your street clothes and we'll bag it up for you" I change and hand the suit over to the lady who throws it in a bag and hands it over to me. Without opening the vents or anything. I remind her about the vents to which she again rolls her eyes and complies. After this fiasco I ask about the pair of $300 shoes I ordered. After another 15 minutes I am told that they never arrived and would have to be re ordered. They are ordered and I am told they will be over-nighted and be available after the weekend. I inform the woman that I will be offshore for another 2 weeks, and am told that they would be in the store and ready by that time. I go in to the store today to pick up my shoes, which are not there nor is any record of them having been ordered. I got a refund and told them where to stick it. Later this afternoon I get a call from my friend who is getting married and he informs me that the suits being ordered per the information that MW has on file are turning up as multiple colors. Of course the one I got was the wrong color because the woman never double checked that the original jacket I showed her on THEIR website was the same as the one I ordered. Now I get to start the entire process over. I am so upset right now that I am afraid to step foot in that godforsaken store because I may punch somebody. I will NEVER do business with MW again for as long as I live and sincerely hope that the company goes under and every employee looses their job and is never employed again because they are all incompetent morons. read more

My fiance and I had such a great experience at Men's Wearhouse picking out the suits for him and his groomsmen for our wedding next summer. Our sales associate, Devin, spent two hours with us putting together the best possible look. He was always upbeat, kind and never trying to sell us anything we didn't want or need. He made helpful suggestions and brought us everything we wanted to try on. If they didn't have it, he found something similar enough or searched for it in their database. He even brought me a soda when he saw I was getting a bit tired from all the decision making! His manager (although I don't know his name) was also just as great and helpful. Bad customer service.... I made the appointment for the men in our wedding party to be fitted, when they started to show up the young girl that works there rolled her eyes. She was short with my Grandfather, called and spoke to a manager and was told everything would be resolved. Went back 2 months later, to show MOG the tux that we picked and waited around for over 20 mins while another young girl spent her time flirting with a prom tux fitting. Find another place for tux/suit rentals! Despite the men going in on two separate occasions, all the tuxes measured at this location had to be adjusted the day prior to the event. At that point it was too late to make some things right. One of the jackets was way over sized and all they could do was move the buttons so the guy is stuck with an ill-fitting jacket at his brother's wedding. When we went arrived back at the store with these problems they had the gall to tell the groom "I'm not sure what you're so upset about." He was upset that instead of touring his out of town guests around Alaska, he was stuck in the store getting 5 suits re-adjusted. Good thing the groom's Mom had everyone try them in again as a couple had to go back yet again to get the pant legs hemmed to the same length. UNBELIEVABLE INCOMPETENCE is the only fitting description. Of note, one guy in the party was measured at their other in town location and his fit perfectly. read more
