Mens Wearhouse is my 1st go-to for all my dress clothes needs. Everyone there super helpful and kind. They helped me find and fit some awesome dress shirts and a full suit, and i gotta say they got it spot on. They also gave me some really good suggestion for matching ties, vests and dress shoes that would go with the suit. If you need anything schmancy, this is the place to go! read more

My son rented a tuxedo and they gave him a tie instead of a bow tie. He also didn't have a handkerchief as ordered. Changed the look and the rental was almost the cost of a suit. Disappointed. Make sure to check before you leave the store. read more

So the saving grace here was their customer service. I came in the first March 12th, 2018 to initially rent a suit and get fitted. After realizing that renting the suit was only a few bucks cheaper than buying, I elected to purchase a suit. I was told it was take until April 2nd to be finished which was totally fine by me. I paid for the suit and the tailoring which came out to nearly $350 bucks and went about my business. Got a call yesterday, March 29th, that my suit came in but no alterations had been done, and that the chalk had rubbed off. I was told the tailor would only be in that day and on April 2nd. When I inquired about what would happen if it wasn't ready and couldn't be ready, I was told that wasn't an option because they would get me something. I still wasn't complacent and in a panic, I drove an hour south from Bangor to the store. Come to find out, they had in fact tailored my suit, and no one could figure out why they had said it wasn't. The tag even had said it wasn't completed. I wasn't completely happy because I had to rush down there to make sure the suit was going to be ready. I need it for an upcoming wedding back home in Arizona and my flight is April 3rd. So after driving down over an hour, I was in and out of there in 15 minutes, and drove another hour north back home. After asking why I was told it wasn't done, no one had a clue, so I tried it on, made sure it was a good fit, and left the store. While I appreciate the great customer service I had, I shouldn't have to worry about this type of thing happening when I spent a decent amount of money for their services. I would probably decide to order from a local place next time. I chose Men's Wearhouse because I've heard great things and the prices were reasonable. After this mishap, I would most likely go somewhere else in the future as it left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

I wish that Zero was a rating option but here is my experience. First, I understand masks, gloves, distancing and all the other Covid trends but at the Augusta Maine store, the employees were so overtly sensitive with wearing gloves and masks and staying well beyond the 6 feet of social distancing I could not help but worry that they knew they had an unsafe or unhealthy condition within their store. That concerned me and I am not that concerned with the probability of getting the disease elsewhere. But that is not my rating issue. I had been measured/fitted for a tuxedo a few weeks earlier and was notified that it was ready for pick up. I arrived on the appointed day and waited over 45 minutes "in their parking lot"(they wont even let you in the store nor will they come to the sidewalk to talk to you) before being able to even speak to someone to tell them I was just there to pick up my prepaid, pre sized order. Once I was allowed, it took less then one minute and I had my tux and was on my way. I have far too many options at the same prices for men's clothing to consider going back there again. I spent an hour of my half hour lunch break waiting to be observed to procure a one minute transaction.. The Tux is great but no better then the others I have rented elsewhere even since the Covid concerns. Sorry Men's Warehouse, you did not impress me at all. read more

I just went to Men's WearHouse in Augusta ME today Sunday 03/06/2016 and a nice gentleman was helping me purchase 2 pair of dress pants when a woman with blond hair came over and brushed him aside. I do not know her name however she acted like she was to good to be working at Men's WearHouse. She was incredibly snotty and nasty. I've shopped at Mens WearHouse several times in the past and they have always been great. For now on out I will find a different place to spend my money. They did not have my dress pants in stock however they could order then I was told. I would have been more than happy to wait as I have a nice wardrobe of clothing to wear but to the blond woman working at this store I do not need to spend my hard earned money at your store when it comes attached with your attitude. read more

The South Portland, Maine store assisted in cleaning up the messes made by the incompetent August, Maine location. South Portland has our thanks. On the other hand, the Augusta store is in need of some serious help. Suit colors were messed up, no one would answer the phones and when they did, they either were not educated enough to assist or would proceed to explain that they would have someone call back... No one ever called back. The pants we ordered never arrived and after inquiring 3 times, we had to travel an hour and a half to go to the South Portland location and we were so thankful we did. However having to try and rent our ring bearer's suit was yet again another nightmare full of employees not knowing what they had available, ordering incorrect colors, and charging random amounts. Never again. Never, ever, again. read more

The customer service here is outstanding. The staff knows their product and is exceptionally patient with customers that don't know what they want/need. I'm not sure if the quality of staff here is par for the course with the company or if this store is just particularly exceptional, but as someone that has worked in the hospitality industry for 20 or so years now they won me over with the quality of service. I visited Men's Wearhouse recently and had the pleasure of being helped by a nice young man named Marco. He was patient and helpful and made the chore of picking out a suit for my sons wedding painless. I would recommend that anyone visiting the Augusta Maine store to have him assist you. I give him 5 stars. I do have to give the store itself only two stars but more specifically the manager of that store 2 stars and that is being generous. She is rude snotty and stuck up. She should not be in the position she is in and certainly should not be employed by your company. She reflects badly on the store. I did note that the store does appear to be understaffed and anyone that is stuck being helped by that woman is in serious trouble. My two cents, the young man should be managing the place. I will call ahead the next time I visit this location to be sure that Marco working. Otherwise i will make the trip to your Portland Store. read more

This chain was recommended for an affordable TUX rental but after almost not having a properly fitting Tuxedo for my wedding two days before, I would not recommend this store. The sales associate who measured me for the guaranteed fit obviously needed more training because the shirt was so tiny it wasn't even close to reality and the pants were so large they fell right off! The jacket sleeves were extremely long and even though there is a tailor hiding in the back room, they never offered tailoring services to me and just expected I was going to wear a TUX jacket to my wedding that looked ridiculous! I was passed off to to 3 different associates who all seemed indifferent and apathetic to helping me. No shoes were ordered and free socks that were part of the Calvin Klein package were no longer available. So after sending back tux and having to drive back to receive another, I insisted on alterations as it is advertised on their website and they made some very last minute alterations to get by. Not a very positive or friendly experience. I would NOT recommend this store especially since they made it clear that they were not comfortable working with a gay couple. NOT GAY FRIENDLY should be on the front door so that hard working customers do not waste their time and money here. read more
