If I could give them less stars than I would. We just went in asking for a specific style and was reassured they could do it. Once her hair was dyed and came out orange the stylist told us that her hair couldn't get to the color of the photo. Still she reassured us that she would get as close as possible once they toned it. Once the process was all done and 3.5 hours had passed we saw that her hair was not only not close at all to the photos color but not blended at all. A straight line in the back clearly showing the brown from the blonde. Still we were being nice but obviously didn't want to pay full price for a botched hairstyle. We asked to speak to a manager when Anna showed up and started yelling at us saying we had to pay $140 for botched hair. We tried to reason with her but she kept speaking nasty to us saying well where do you work don't you understand that people make mistakes? To which we replied we do understand but also the customer is always right and when you botch someone's hair you don't make them pay that! Another customer was there to whitness this and also agreed that we shouldn't of payed and even stated she would be just walking straight out rather than being nice to them like we had. We ended up paying because the manager was quite threatening towards us but are currently reaching out to corporate to make a formal complaint on not just the store but specifically the manager who was so unprofessional and rude that she was making us cry. read more

This review is for the JCPenney Hair Salon. I have been going to the hair salon for a couple years now to have my hair colored, cut and manicures. It cost $70.00. Yes you could get a color in a box and that what you get. My hair stylist is Katie Prestridge, and she is awesome. She is accepting new clients. As you can see from my profile that she did a great job which my blonde highlights. She goes above and beyond with her clients and enjoys talking and socializing if that's what you like. She's been my stylist now for over a year and I'm so glad that I found her. I would not trust anyone else with my hair. They have you sign a consent form so that you realize the dying process. I was okay with this. The manager has even given me credit when a stylist before this current one took so long on my hair and she was going way overboard on correcting my highlights as she said, but they wanted to make sure I was happy and that made me a repeat customer!! Call for an appointment with Katie or they do take walk ins!! Oh and they just added a Sephora kiosk inside JCPenneys. I haven't visited it yet but if its like the one in Burlington,MA, you wont be disappointed. Try the Dolche fragrance made from White Amaryillis from The Cape, in Africa its to die for. You can get a small bottle for $25.00 that you can pop in your purse. read more
