John helped my fiance and I out suit shopping for a wedding we will be attending and he truly went above and beyond. From the second we walked in he guided us to the right section took measurements, helped pick out a dress shirt to go with the suit, rang us out, and unthreaded the suit all within about 20 minutes. My husband rented a groomsmen tuxedo here, and initially when he went to pick it up he was there for an hour because it was so busy and his pants were way too short. We had to go pick up the tuxedo the day we left, and the day of the wedding when he opened the garment bag, there were no pants. We ended up making it to another men's warehouse that was out by the venue, but this was really inconvenient the day of the wedding. When we returned the tuxedo, we explained what happened and the staff was very helpful--Carlton and Kayla were very nice. However, Men's Wearhouse's policy was to refund us for the pants, which for some reason were only $10.60 of the ~$200 suit. While the staff did what they could, I think the way the pieces are priced/the return policy is unfair and I would rather not do business again with a company that 1) leaves its employees working so short staffed that my husband's tuxedo was the wrong size, his pickup took an hour, and his pants were missing, and 2) has a return policy that gave us $10 back for not giving us half of the tux Okay I'm done, haha. Nice location in Dearborn just not enough parking our front of the store. We got sized for our tuxedos and made chages to the original choices. Nice Vera Wang tuxes. Friendly staff as I was greeted with several "how are you" and "Can I help you?". They were running a big sale as I checked out some clothes as well. Fairly decent prices on some stuff. The Dollar Store of the clothing business The staff is comprised with 20 year olds that not have the slightest clue about the business, they are only interested in one thing...making the commission I came in the store to buy a suit for my kid for an upcoming job interview. We were immediately taken to J Abood rack He got the "oh this looks great on you" pitch after trying on the very first suit,when it obviously did not. Wrong...every suit brand is unique and cut differently, one size does not fit all. When I asked about the other brands available the sales guy said oh you do not want those, this is the better value for the money. Why don't I want those??? Answer-Its because Mens Warehouse is pushing sales guys to unload all the cheap Chinese made junk that no one else wants That is a Red Flag for me, when all you can talk about is the money and not the product..time to make for the exit. You get what you pay for Pay the extra 200 dollars (because that is all you are saving) and go to a established clothing retailer. An experienced person should show you at least 3 different brand makers in order to find the best fit You will be better off I know we were, and you will like the way you look,....for real. read more

Not a good experience. I wish we had read some of the previous reviews before spending too much money on pants that FELL APART at our wedding. My partner went there to buy pants for our wedding. The sales person was nice and helpful and helped us find some pants that fit what we were interested him. We told him what kind of tapering we'd like and he went and found the tailor. He came out, literally said NOTHING to us, put pins in his pants without his shoes on or even inquiring what kind of shoes he would be wearing, without talking to us and making sure he knew what we wanted. As neither of us buy clothing that requires professional tailoring very often, we didn't think it was THAT weird until I went to get my dress fitted and I felt foolish that we hadn't been more adamant that this guy at least talk to us. We hoped that when we picked the pants up they would be ok. Wrong. They were totally baggy and too long and why pay this extra money for it to look as if nothing had changed? He brought it back to the store and they took the pants back to fix them and when he picked them up the second time they looked much better. Then, promptly after our ceremony the pants were coming apart at the new seams. A fantastic waste of money. While corporate did respond and offer us a gift card, it was not as much as we spent on the pants and why would we ever go back to MW again? So, this is why I don't shop at big box stores. read more

I took my 13-year-old son here after striking out at Macy's, where the "salesperson" took one look at him and said, "We don't have anything to fit him. Try Penney's." Chad got a hold of him, had him try on 3 jackets, and within 20 minutes, we were walking out the door. My son said, "That was really nice! They make you feel cared for." Okay, I not an authority on suits but... I have seen many suit disaster in and around this state. If you need suit QUICKLY that has good tailoring last minute occasion... this is good choice. Been about 7 years since I came to Mens Warehouse back in California... I was NOT disappointed to find same friendly service here. Conservative styling is my choice (not horrendous checkerboard print suit I see around here from time to time.) and they have many Italian style to choose from. Wife-san loves man with suit (well, she love ME with suit... I hope) and I get my man swagger when I put on suit too. You looking for cool summer sexy swag??? I actually chose to go to Van Dykes on 10 mile and southfield. They had wall to wall suits and gave me a deal that included a suit two shirts, and two ties for 380.00. And also had 3 for one sale on suits for 600.00. I'm pretty satified with my new suit location. read more

Quite possibly, one of the WORST retail experiences of the year. It took me an hour to get measured and pay for a tux for my brothers wedding. The new guy handling me really needed a lot of help, and the more senior lady seemed content to not help, and let me wait. Finally, when I got the tux, the measurements were way off, and the correction still doesn't look great. At close to $150, i'd expect a little better service, and a little better product. We got all our tuxes from them for a wedding. They screwed up several of the measurements, and forgot to give the father of the bride all the pieces of his Tux. On top of that, they had awful customer service, acting as if it was our fault they didn't include all the pieces of the Tux. I won't shop at this location in Dearborn Ml the manager Mark was rude the men working behind the counter, when I approached said to me yes not how can we help you duh! I'm a customer hello how can we or I help you?. the man that later approached the counter, Mark said oh ! after I said what I wanted ?so we go to he shoe's and and we are discussing the fact that I'm returning and exchanging for my husband and he said. men need a couple different color or pair of shoes just like women! I then said what!!! and tried to move on but the shoe's we the right size that I needed and also the last pair but someone obviously had left a scuff imprint on the inside ankle of the shoe and he tried to convince me that it was just a sock imprint which was a dark color in both shoes and he offered me 10% off I really wanted the black pair but thought my husband would not take them so I said okay but I will bring them back if he doesn't want them and I said but I think the shoe's warrant more than 10 percent off and he huffed and startled me like he knew me personally and exclameted!! that he didn't, shouldn't have given me that discount so then I moved on again exhausted from shoe hunting then he asked for my receipt I gave it to him and he began to banter with me on how I received such a deal on the shoe's in a accusatory fashion and I told him that he had the receipt another manager approved it figure it out it's not for me to come around the register to do it so he told me that he was going to come as close as he could to it meaning the price and I told him as long as he exchanged the shoe's for the even price fine but he had a smirk on his face and I had had enough and told him to forget the sale I will go to the Westland store and have them order the shoe's for me and he said fine excitedly. so I packaged my shoes and headed for the door but decided to go back and let him know how disappointed I was with the visit to this location of menswarehouse in Dearborn Village mi l asked him what his name was and told I was unhappy with my visit and again excitedly said why because I tried to give you a discount so I said it was everything so he said fine and I said I will be making a complaint PS I was shocked to find out from another employee he was the manager. my friends will be told not to spend money at this location read more

I have been trying to plan my wedding with these people for the last three months. We rented 6 tuxedos for our wedding. 4 came in improperly fitted. All fitting problems were taken care of but required several extra trips to the store. Kayla (The Assistant Manager) was AMAZING! I went to MI for my brothers wedding and a few of the men in the party messed up getting their suits... So, like most men, we went the day before the wedding to pick up what we needed. Unfortunately, they didn't have the vest (in our size) in the ENITRE state so she was going to attempt to cut down a XXXXXXL (YES, THAT'S A 6XL) to a L just to help us out. However, since we needed to pick one more up from another store, it would not have worked. Long story short, she helped us pick out new vests and 1 guy got his ENTIRE SUIT fitted and done a day before the wedding. INCREDIBLE job Kayla! read more

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, however for a "warehouse" it is pretty expensive. Even the on "sale" items seemed to be over priced You can go there for any formal occasion and walk out with a suit. They even have their own tailor there so you can have the suit fitted and pick it up within a day or two. read more

Fairly disappointing experience. I recently moved to the area from Nashville, TN and turned to this location of Men's Warehouse for assistance. I had excellent experiences with other Men's Warehouse locations and honestly assumed hospitality was a shared culture throughout the organization. I must admit, I was wrong. This location not only disappointed me once, but twice. I turned to the store to purchase a couple suits due to a fairly short notice interview because our house was still packed and had not made the trip north yet. The first assistant to help me was solid. He seemed like a seasoned professional and spoke with the fashion confidence I would expect. I shared my concern that it was a very short notice and he was happy to help me get the tailoring in time to set me up for success. Per usual experience, so I was not shocked, he did a great job up selling me to buy some additional things. I didn't mind though. After all, I did need some things because the rest was packed. When checking out, things changed. The manager, heard he and the tailor were willing to make the necessary adjustments for me the next day and he, the manager, told his employee in front of me that they couldn't do it in that time. When the employee told him of my need and that the tailor had agreed to help me out, he didn't show any customer concern, but just told the staff to no longer make those arrangements. Seriously, in front of a customer handing over well more than a thousand dollars! No time to chat though, I thanked the employee and tailor, then went on my way. I picked up the suits and was pleased with how they fit. I apologized to the employee for any trouble he might have been in because of it. Fast forward three months. I lost nearly 30 pounds since buying the suits at this location and decided to stop in to ask about alterations to brings things in a bit. The employee I spoke to seemed kind enough, but when we turned to the manager, things went south again. Mark, the manager, sat in front of the shoe display (back toward me) while the employee explained that I had a few questions about tailoring. He didn't get up, greet me or offer any help beyond telling me that he couldn't give me advice without having them on. I get it... You cannot discern how much adjustment, if any, is possible until I bring them in. However, I do believe that any manager in this organization should be able to make an educated statement like, "Sure! I can't tell you what we can do to help you out, but please bring the suits in and let's see what we can do." Perhaps looks at this as an opportunity to sell a new suit if tailoring is not possible? Nope! Not this guy, Mark. His arrogance and lack of customer support spoke volumes. I cannot say the entire organization is bad due to one terrible manager, but I know I will not return to this location ever. Judging by the posts, Mark has driven a few folks away before. read more

There staff is extremely knowledgsble about suit and everything related. They had specials going on not only did I walk out with two shirts and two ties for a great deal but the gentleman that was helping me out even offered to press my shirt because I was pressed for time. This is by far the worst tuxedo rental experience I've ever had. After having 2 measurings before picking up my tuxedo, the jacket and shirt were both the wrong size. The pants were extremely long as we'll, and would need to be taken up many inches. After returning days later the pants were still almost 2 inches too long. On both trips to their store it was clear, all they wanted to do is get me out the door. My son's experience was much the same. Never again will I rent a tuxedo or for that matter buy a suit from this place. Can you believe these people are supposed to be experts at this. I recently rented from Mens Wearhouse for my wedding. Biggest mistake. First, they had no samples as to what the vest would look like with the color pants I wanted, so I had to hope the colors would match and look good. Secondly, they ordered the wrong size vest for not one, but two of my men when their vests arrived a week before the wedding. It was an xs, these men were 5'7" - 5'9". They then began to tell me it looked fine when it looked like belly shirts on them. Finally, they agreed when I told them how would they like it if the men looked like that in their wedding. Lastly, they had sample vest the whole time for the men to try on and did not even mention this during their fittings (a year prior), which, would have prevented the stress when they said the vest would come in the morning of the wedding. I rented a Tuxedo for my Daughter's wedding, when I went to pick up the suit,3 days prior,the "shirt and suit coat" were badly wrinkled. The sales clerk,whisked them away from me and scurried off with them,she returned in the blink of an eye and said,"here you go,is this better",it was an improvement,but still wrinkly,I had no choice,I was at their mercy,so I accepted the suit,with only 72 hrs. before Wedding and took them to local cleaners(Dearborn Fordson,Thank-you so much)! They only charged me $12.95. Upon,returning my suit,I asked to speak with the Manager "Mark" I explained the situation and politely asked,if there maybe any compensation,however,I was told,that if I wanted it ironed or pressed more,I should have brought it back and that it was Not the stores fault the Suits are wrinkly,because thats the way they arrive to them via the Truck!
