I had ordered online and made changes, some changes were made to the shipment but not the internal system; I was still charged for them. I tried contacting online and didn't hear back for almost a week while they were investigating. Ben helped me escalate it in person and I got my refunds, within the hour or 2, as well as my return labels for what I received but decided not to keep. Great value suits at great prices, they really do look and fit great; nice selections too, great in-store phone customer service. Give Ben a raise ASAP! A Warning About Roman -- Tailor at The Suit Depot My husband purchased several new suits from The Suit Depot in Oak Park and spent a significant amount of money on them. Because the suits needed alterations, The Suit Depot recommended Roman, the tailor located in the back of their store. Based on that recommendation, my husband trusted Roman with his brand-new suits. Unfortunately, that turned into an extremely disappointing and costly experience. My husband told Roman that he needed the suits for an important public speaking engagement that was more than a month and a half away. Five weeks later, the alterations still were not finished. With only about a week remaining before the event, Roman assured him that everything would be completed in time. When my husband finally received the suits, we were horrified by the condition of the alterations. The pants had been altered so poorly that although Roman was able to make one pair look decent enough for my husband to wear for his speaking engagement, my husband could not comfortably take his suit jacket off during the event because of how badly the pants looked. Afterward, he decided he did not trust Roman to attempt another repair and took the pants to a different tailor. That tailor was able to correct the pants. However, once my husband brought everything home and examined the jackets more carefully, he discovered additional problems with Roman's work. One of the suit jackets no longer had its proper lining and had been left with rough, unfinished-looking edges underneath. Now the jackets have to be taken to another tailor as well. This has turned what should have been an exciting purchase of beautiful new suits into an expensive and frustrating ordeal. I strongly advise anyone purchasing a suit from The Suit Depot: DO NOT use Roman for your alterations. I repeat, DO NOT use Roman the tailor. I also believe The Suit Depot should seriously reconsider recommending Roman to its customers. My husband used him specifically because The Suit Depot recommended him. When customers spend thousands of dollars purchasing new suits from a business, they reasonably expect that a tailor recommended by that business will be capable of altering those garments without damaging them. Instead, we are now spending additional money with another tailor trying to repair brand-new suits that had already cost thousands of dollars. We are extremely disappointed. The Suit Depot may sell beautiful suits, but based on our experience, their recommendation of Roman for alterations has negatively affected our opinion of the entire purchase. Please be very careful about whom you allow to alter your investment. read more

My initial hesitation buying a suit from a place with the word depot in its name was completely unfounded. They have a huge selection of suits and honestly without assistance we would have been overwhelmed. The store always very busy but the staff did a great job of balancing giving us attention and giving us space. They helped him choose a beautiful Italian wool navy suit that he could wear to the weddings and a dark green suit (I never would have thought he could pull of that color) for the less formal events. Both my purchases were Super 100's pure wool, with pickstitch lapels and perfectly done off-the-rack trim tailoring at under $250 (I'm 6'0, 160 lbs- I ordered a 40R slim). The Suit Depot does an excellent job at finding unknown suit brands with top of the line quality. Both of my picks stack up against my British Jermyn St. slim fit suits that were far pricier, and I'm a pretty exacting suit shopper for material, cut and drape. Speedy delivery as well. I have been working with the guys at Suit Depot for about 5 years. They have grown their operation from online only sales when I first met them, to a storefront in Oak Park. Its no surprise how they have done this either - by offering the best quality products, and terrific price points while treating all their customers like VIPs. I have always gotten blockbuster deals here on high end suits, and have never been disappointed. It's just a fun place to come and get a custom fit suit to be honest. I was married in September and it only made sense to call Ben at the Suit Depot to outfit me and my groomsmen with our tuxedos. I had a very large group as well. Twenty three of us in total. Ben negotiated the rate up front and stuck to his word. Not only did he stick to his word on prices, he got everyone a custom fit tuxedo (and a very high quality one at that) for less than the price of a rental from one of the big box chains. Are you kidding me?! We had all shapes and sizes of dudes in our group and he made us all look like we were attending the Met Gala, it was no small feat, and they knocked it out of the park Process was quite easy too, I would say the fitting took about 20 mins all in, including getting measured for alterations by the tailor. They also have a tailor on site, Roman, who is no joke the best in the business! When you are dealing with custom fits, the tailor is just as Important as the fabric, and again I can't stress this enough - The Suit Depot has them both. Tux came back a week later, fit like a glove. No one in my group had issues, not even the guys they sent Tuxes to out of state. Ben sent tuxedos to California, Illinois, all over the country. He truly went above and beyond to take care of each one of us. Many of the guys were also able to get shoes, suspenders, European cut shirts, and their other accessories bow ties from Ben and the Suit Depot Truly a one stop shop for everything you need The tuxedos were a smash at our wedding and now my closest friends and I have a modern, custom fit tuxedo for the next few years. Worst experience I've ever encountered. Ordered a suit and had the in house tailor handle the tailoring. Suit was for Homecoming. I was told the suit would be ready and was initially told to pick it up the Friday before but he then changed the day to a few days prior. We get to the store on Thursday, the night they are advertised as being open late, and the building is closed up. No notice on the door no contact to the customers that have suits to pick up. They posted on their Facebook that they were closed until the following Tuesday!! After the dance!! No one ever responded to the many messages. When they finally opened back up I was rudely told it was a miscommunication and I could drive out there (almost a hour drive one way) and see about a discount, then hung up on!!! I decided to dispute the charges on my credit card as I never received the suit and now the dance was over. Today, I get notice from my credit card company that this company is disputing my dispute claiming THEY SENT ME THE SUIT! I have never received a suit from these people. They ruined my son's senior year homecoming and caused me to have to scramble around to purchase last minute clothes for the child to wear. I would never recommend this place to anyone with a deadline! If you need the suit by a certain date, do not use this company. After their lies I'm not even sure I would trust them at all! I repeat I never received a suit from them as they are claiming!! They wouldn't even answer my calls when I attempted to return their supposed calls to resolve the issue! Terrible customer service!! And now I have to waste more time fighting for my refund!!! read more

My wife found this awesome place on Instagram. I decided to check it out due to me needing real church clothes. Upon walking in I was overwhelmed with the selection (which is amazing, but I know nothing about nice clothes yet). I'm greeted by Ronnie, who immediately became the only person I plan on getting any good clothes from. He treated me like family, made sure I was comfortable and he has great taste. He didn't try pushing a sale on me, although I wanted to buy everything he showed me haha. But the entire staff seems well versed in menswear and I simply enjoyed being there. The Tailor they work with, Roman, was also extremely experienced and talented with his craft, and very well treated me as a family member. This place without a doubt earned a life long patron. My fiancé, his groomsmen, and the fathers all went to order their suits for our wedding 7 months out. They were supposed to be in. 2 months out we had to track them down because we still hadn't herd anything and we find out they never ordered the suits we requested and had already paid for in full. Then they told us that they wouldn't be in on time because they haven't made the order. We had paid for them months in advanced with plenty of time and they couldn't make this work. The dads had to buy something off the rack in a completely different color and they didn't really have their sizes. The groomsmen still haven't have not gotten theirs (2 weeks out). My fiancé has been playing phone tag with them and they keep ignoring his calls or hanging up or saying they will call back and never do. We had to go to kohl's to buy all our suits. David could not have been better at getting all the groomsmen outfitted and even went out of his way to match the ring bearers suit to the groomsman. This is an easy 5 star review. The customer service here is impeccable. I came in one Sunday to buy a khaki suit, a light blue shirt, and a white shirt. They were extremely busy. They had wedding parties and religious parties also needing their services. And so I had to wait and share the sales associates. In the end, I got a custom suit and two custom shirts. I'm a smaller guy, with clothiers typically not pandering to my sizes. Although there was a wait on that Sunday, I want to describe just how blown away I was with their customer service. I worked with Marty. Young man, very sharp, very pleasant. No one ever tried to sell me anything I didn't want. They listened, we tried on several outfits, and they made recommendations. Marty knew I waited a bit to do this, and he wanted to make it up to me. He added a few bells and whistles to the clothing and gave me a discount. I come in three weeks later to pick up the suit and shirts. I absolutely loved it. The pants needed slight tailoring. Roman did it in 10 to 15 minutes. He, the tailor, was professional and equally friendly. Marty still felt bad about my wait and threw in a couple of ties he recommended for free. Prices? The custom suit is $500 and custom shirts are $100 apiece. And if you aren't growing, they are absolutely worth it. Folks, this is the place to get your suits. In the future, as I continue to update my wardrobe, I will be back here. They have earned my business and certainly my recommendation. You are going to look sharp. You are going to look stylish. And you are going to blow people away. It is better to buy one suit here than to buy five at your typical suit shop. read more
