Expensive, terrible service, long waits, awful tailoring I've spent 10 years trying to get my husband into a suit. A recent family wedding seemed like the perfect opportunity, but there are not a lot of options for men's suits in Montgomery. We bit the bullet and tried the buy-one-get-one-free option at Men's Wearhouse. We knew we wanted 2 suits, but the first clerk we had didn't seem to know much about them. The manager quickly took over our visit. She refused to show us lower-priced suits, pulling only suits over $500 from the racks to try on. We were very disappointed that a suit at that price only comes with a single pair of pants, with no way to buy a second identical pair of pants. And tailoring is NOT included. When we finally got our 2 suits selected, the manager was great at putting together shirts and ties to match. The good service stopped there. We waited a long time for a surly employee to pin the suits and shirts for tailoring. Then we waited a week to try on. Then we had to have both shirts altered again. Then we waited another week to try on. One shirt was still too tight (measured wrong), and we had to start over with a brand new shirt. We waited another week to try on. The shirts weren't ready. We still have not seen the finished shirts. We're now 1 month, 7 visits, and over $1,000 into this nightmare. I think the suits will look great, if the shirts ever get finished and if they fit. I know they weren't worth the price we paid for them, the multiple trips we made to the store, or the weeks we've been waiting. read more

This has to be the nicest Men's Wearhouse that I've ever visited. By nicest, I mean this was the most fantastic shopping experience. The store was nicely decorated, and the selection is vast as always, but what surprised me was that the staff was so friendly and extremely helpful. The lady helping me's name was Shamerra C., and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Next time you stop in, ask for her and she will get you fixed up. read more

PLEASE READ! We needed a suit for an event and came here to rent one. We came in 5 days before to get fitted, and told us we could come pick it up the day before we left. We had to go 6 hours away for our event, so we needed everything to be correct. We were told the suit was ready the morning before, so we come and try it on and everything is okay but the sports coat. They tell us to come back tomorrow (the day we need to leave) around noon to pick it up and it should be a perfect fit. We also live 30 minutes away from Men's Wearhouse, but we needed the suit. This was very irritating because we were also charged a rush fee, even though they had 6 days to do this. We come back the next day and pick up the suit, and we immediately leave because we have to rush and get on the road. He tries on the suit in the car because we are running late and have to get ready, and the sports coat still has WHITE MARKING on the wrist where it needed to be hemmed. Nothing was done to the suit and was still too big. We call the manager, and was told we would get a full refund when we returned the suit. In order to not get charged a late return fee we had to return the suit at a Men's Wearhouse near our location, but we were told when we come back to montgomery that we would get the full refund. Today we go back to get the full refund, and we are told we could only get $32 because we wore the suit. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO WEAR THE SUIT THEY DID NOT FIX. The guy we initially saw when we first came, told us we were exaggerating and he hemmed the suit. We should have taken pictures of the white marks because they lied right to their manager. (The manager we spoke to before was not at the store.) Do not come here because they do not care, and are terrible at their jobs. read more

Started off as a disaster because my Tux did not fit correctly for my sisters wedding which was in a few hours. However, the employee, Jocelyn, immediately returned my item and found me a suit an almost exact color as my original Tux. She quickly had my pants hemmed and new shirt steamed and I was out the door. No one at the wedding realized the difference and everything fit perfectly. My grandson realized at the last minute that he needed a tux for the dance. What I thought would be a difficult task proved to be a wonderful experience at Men's Wearhouse at East Chase. From the phone call to check to see if getting a tux was doable to walking out the door, it was a pleasant experience. This store will definitely be my go to for tux rentals. Oh Men's Wearhouse, how I despise you. Whenever it came time to order a tuxedo for my fiancee, I honestly wanted to use Joseph A Bank. Unfortunately, they do not have rental tuxedos at their Montgomery location. There are limited options in town, and I thought Men's Wearhouse would be my best bet. I'll go ahead and warn you--their customer service is TERRIBLE. I will admit there were quite a few people in the store during our first visit, but their managment of waiting customers was extremely inefficient and sometimes they were just flat-out rude. The employee assisting me in selecting a tux/tie color combo for my fiancee, bashed all of my ideas and kept trying to "strong-arm" me into selecting what she felt was "traditional". The second employee assisting my finacee in sizing had no social skills whatsover. Who put this guy in a sales position? In the midst of the busy tux area, some of the employees were playing around and joking. Did they not see all those people waiting for service? My second visit was to purchase a blush-colored tie for my fiancee to wear instead of the silver one that came with the tux rental set. The same employee from visit number one asked us why we were back, and I told her my idea. Again, she tried to encourage her idea of "traditional". When I was purchasing the tie we picked out, two employees were attempting to "share" a computer to assist us and another party. Instead of explaining what they were doing, they had all of us just stand there for about 20 minutes, all wondering what we were doing. I can appreciate and understand when a store is busy, but it really wasn't busy at all. I can also understand when computers break and we have to share things, but give me a heads up! Don't let me hang around for almost half an hour wondering what the heck is taking so long. Most of their employees seem very callous and very nonchalant. We paid around $700 for our tux rentals--all I ask is for a little respect and customer service in return. Upon returning his suit, my fiancee accidentally left the tie we bought in the bag. I had pretty much assumed it was gone forever, but I called Men's Wearhouse today to check and see if maybe they had a lost and found or if someone had taken the (obviously misplaced) tie out before they sent it back. The employee who answered the phone was consistent with all of the other employees I've had the immense pleasure of speaking with. Without hesitation, she said they sent it to Atlanta with the rentals. How did she know that without even checking?? I mean, at least TRY to help me solve my problem (or make me think you are). She had me on hold for 15 minutes waiting for the phone number for the hub in Atlanta. I really don't care that much about the tie, but I do care that the employee didn't seem to want to be bothered by my call. This review boils down to this: Your tuxes will probably fit and look great but you will have terrible service, no one will bother to help you solve your problems, and you will want to take your own life after every visit to this store. You'll get what you need, but you'll pay a heavy personal price. read more
