I had an upcoming date with a truly beautiful woman I took a chance on asking out. She challenged me to woo her. So I book a reservation at a nice restaurant, go off to the flower shop and thought about what else I might need. A new well put together outfit would give me a nice confidence boost. I ran to Mems Wearhouse and met the sale associate, Big Al. He graciously agreed to help me out. I spied a nice pair of blue pants and asked him to help me build an outfit around them. He quickly went to work and gave me several options along with his input. After about 20 minutes or so, we had a winner. My date was really impressed and blown away by the effort I put into the date. She snapped the attached photo and later framed it in her bedroom. I asked her that night if she'd do me the honor of being my girlfriend and she just responded with "there's no way I can even say no!" Not saying it was just the outfit, but it definitely helped. I originally was not a fan of Men's Wharehouse until I ordered their custom suits. AMAZING. It's been a habit for 7 years to buy 1-2 suits each year. I went into the store after busienss travel and waited at the custom area. My experience is to acknowledge a customer and set expectation. nothing.. no hi or we will be with you. I left. I returned tonight. less people (2 customers) and 3-4 employees. Same cadence. I wait, surely someone will say something. 10min pass I see two workers restocking shirts. I will approach them. The message to me, we have two people here that can do customs and give us 5 min. I tell them my measurements are the same and it's the print stock and accents. I left again after another 10 min in addition to the 15 min. The previous worker Pam and Q were amazing and are no longer there... currently terrible service. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE! We were ignored for 30 minutes after arriving at 7:45pm. Then the woman told us if we weren't listening for our number, we would lose our place in line but we were the only ones not being helped and They never called any numbers! She was extremely rude and condescending. A man finally ended up helping us and he definitely did not want to. At 9:30, the same woman said if this was Macy's, we would have escorted you out by now because we closed at 9. But They were the ones who ignored us and were not serving us! We spent $750 only to be treated like garbage. I wanted such a different experience getting a tux for my son. I am still appalled at how we all were treated. Do not go there. read more

My daughter's wedding was just this past weekend (Oct 30, 2021) and I feel compelled to share with your company my experience. Apologies for the length of the review, but details were necessary. Bride and Groom are in CT, I am in MD/DE and we had groomsmen in other states (VA and CO specifically). Naturally going to a chain clothier was the obvious choice to ensure consistency of the tuxedo / suit rentals for all involved. To say we had an inconsistent experience is an understatement. Yes, I understand the current workforce climate, but my issues were not an issue of lack of staff, they seemed to stem from a lack of or insufficient training or just a general poor attitude. Details below: Father of the Bride (me): Went to the Christiana DE store for a fitting several months ago. The associate who measured me was nice enough but apparently not very adept as measuring. When I picked up my suit I was assisted by still another associate in the same store. All pieces fit well enough except for the pants which were large enough in the waist to fit another person in there with me. Upon pointing this out to the associate, I was informed that there was nothing they could do for it other then send me on my way with a pair of suspenders to keep my pants up. I tried them on with the suspenders, and while they kept the pants up, they of course needed to be lengthened which was performed onsite and I was sent on my way. At that time, I also picked up on son's tux who was measured at the Men's Warehouse in Sterling VA since my son was coming to my house so we could travel to the wedding together. My daughter (the Bride) called me to see how the fitting went and I informed her of the suspenders. As my daughter went to pick up the Grooms tuxedo at their local store in South Windsor CT, my daughter relayed the story to their associate "Ken" who expressed his disappointment and he stated that "there was ample time for them to order and receive pants in the correct size". Ken took it upon himself to order the correct size pants, having them shipped to the Christiana DE store in time for me to pick up 3 days before we left for the wedding. Once I received the pants and tried them on and they fit perfectly, no suspenders needed. I was approached by what I assume was the store manager "Kim". I explained the situation and expressed concern about the potential for my son's measurements being correct. She looked at them online and said there it was doubtful they were correct (he is not 6'5' and "pear shaped" as the measurements seemed to suggest). Goomsman (my son): Kim suggested that as soon as my son arrived to my house (the day we were to leave for the out-of-town wedding) that he try on the suit and if any issues, return to the Christiana store before noon. My son arrived, of course nothing but the shirt and jacket fit. So off to Christiana store we went. Kim met us early and properly measured my son. She committed to have the correctly sized pieces delivered to the most convenient store (Cherry Hill NJ) for the next day (day before the wedding now). She instructed my son to call the Cherry Hill store by 11AM to ensure everything arrived correctly. He called and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. After hanging up and calling back, he was told that "they were not sure it was in yet, but assured him that it would be in SOMETIME THIS WEEK(!)" He informed they that was not acceptable as the wedding was the next day. They replied that they would check (with an attitude) and get back to him. Not too hopeful for a returned phone call, we drove to the store. While on the way, he did actually get a call that the pieces were delivered. Once we arrived, we waited a bit as the staff helped other patrons. Once they got to my son, they provided the correctly sized pieces and after trying they on, they sent us on our way without any apologies, a thank you or anything. I am writing this in the hopes that you take this as a training opportunity. People look to national chains to obtain some sense of consistency or service and quality of product. My experience has been Men's Warehouse is falling short. On the positive side, Ken from the South Windsor CT store should be commended for taking the initiative to fix and providing superior customer service. Kim from the Christiana DE store should also be called out for owning the customer issue and ensuring my son's fitment issue was rectified in the time necessary to successfully participate in my daughter's wedding. As I am sure you can understand, wedding planning can be a stressful time for the families involved. We look to stores like yours who do this for a living, for support. While there were some potentially catastrophic stumbles, at the end of the day it worked out, but with a lot of additional undue stress. Paul Manuel read more

Terrible Customer Service !!! My fiancé and I went to look into suit rentals for our upcoming wedding for myself and groomsmen. We were "helped" by Julian, he blurted out information so fast that we had to ask him to repeat it multiple times. He was tapping his feet repeatedly as if he was in a hurry to leave or run to the bathroom. When we asked about their Perfect fit program and for deals online he gave us a ton of wrong information. When I asked for the rental and Perfect fit information in writing he gave me a pamphlet that basically told me to go on there website for info. Going there for help was a waste of time and I doubt we will be going back to this company for our wedding rental needs. read more

Don't ever rent a Tuxedo from them. We rented my daughters wedding party tuxes from them and it was a complete disaster. Let's start with the cleanses of the suits. My suit had white stains all over the black jacket. And that was the least of the issues. As the brides man we're getting dressed the day of the wedding not one but all of there shoes came apart. We had to run out and get super glue to try and hold them together. That need not work. Then two if the groomsman had buttons fall off there jackets and vests. When we called and complained we were told that they couldn't get us new shoes at the last minute and that we would be given credit of some kind. When we return the tuxes the next day we were told they would give us credit for just the shoe rental and a lousy $5.00 additional credit for the inconvenience. Men's warehouse can stick the $5.00 inconvenience where the sun doesn't shine. This was my daughters special day and was ruined by men's warehouse and they think a $5.00 credit will make things right. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEM. read more

Just a bit of advice for Al, the guy that "helped" us. When a customer asks a question, don't say "that is totally an incorrect statement". It is a QUESTION, and we are coming her for "expert" advice. When he was talking to us about the difference between just buying a suit there and getting that tailored, vs buying a custom overseas one which is more expensive ($400) vs an American made one ($800) he didn't even want to hear about which fabrics we wanted, what our budget was or anything. He kept saying we needed to get the American made one because "her wedding dress was probably way more expensive than this so it's okay". Do not recommend coming here. read more

RUN from Mens' Wearhouse!!!! They have double standards on what they will alter and not. The Male Manager in the am is horrible and just obviously hates his job. Don't even deal with their customer service department, because they are just as bad. Don't ask for a regional manager to contact you either. It is up to THEIR discretion if they want to call customers back or not. If you need any alterations, go to a private company not this horrible company. I will NEVER spend ANOTHER penny with this company. LOTS of other companies that you can purchase suits from, they aren't the only shop in town! read more

Needed a suit in a hurry went in to Men's Warehouse and was greeted by Pat. She asked when I need the suit by and when I said the next day she said no problem we can have it ready tonight. She measured me and took me to some suits to try out for a rough fit. Explained the options and the fit of the suit very well. Decided on getting two suits one ready later that evening and one would be ordered for me. She then expertly picked out several shirt and tie options for the suits for me. She was rather busy helping several customers but I never felt like she wasn't assisting me or tending to me at any time. I felt like she really want to make sure I was going to look my best in the suit. Between making sure it fit properly and offering excellent options for shirts and tie that went well with the suits and suited me very well. read more

Rented a tux here, it was not cleaned just pressed, it smelled TERRIBLE, collar was falling apart on the shirt very poor condition, good thing I had my own shirt as backup for the wedding. Also terrible customer service once again, same problem different locations, poor training on how to treat a customer. Older gentlemen at the front desk was rude with an attitude, ended up walking out of the store. Literally never coming here again. read more

Needed a suit for a funeral today. I could not have been treated better, faster, or with more compassion at such a sad time. Pat was so helpful, considerate, and professional. I was treated so well by Pat, Bobby, and Eddie. I couldn't have had a better experience any where. They had my slacks finished in less than an hour and she was so helpful with my measurements and helping me pick out everything so it would be just right. She even got me water while I waited. We went there to order an ivory shirt, plain dark brown vest and tie (to match) for our april wedding. We thought the salesman was very nice and knew what he was doing. He told us everything would look like the picture that i showed him and would be in a few days before the wedding. Little did we know he had NO clue what he was doing.... He put the date of our wedding wrong. (this is the first thing we noticed). THEN when my fiance called to just change the date, the lady verified all of the information for the groomsman and she said the salesman never put the ties on (no big deal though cause those can be added). She then said "so we have a brown checkered vest and ivory shirt"...i automatically said no to the checkered vest, and that i showed the salesman a picture of what we wanted and he told me over and over that it was plain and dark brown. She said they did not carry a plain dark brown and this was all they could get. She told us to stop in the next day to look at it before we cancelled our order. We went in the next evening and the vest and tie were UGLY! I cant say what it looked like but it was NOT what we ordered. The lady salesman had all the excuses in the world as to why the other young male salesman messed up.....We cancelled our order and will be going elsewhere but if we wouldn't of noticed the date was wrong i would of been one pissed off bride to have my groomsman wearing that awful color at the wedding. I think this place needs to worry more about the customers and really look into what they are telling the customers before placing an order. read more

What should have been very simple quickly became a horrible experience. I went in to buy a specific suit that had been spec'd out for a wedding. The sales man was EXTREMELY pushy, trying to get me to go against what the bride and groom had picked out. He was completely negative towards their choices, and wouldn't let it drop until he stood right then while I called the B/G to ask if they were okay with me changing suits. Next time I'll drive a much longer distance not to go to this store...felt like I was buying a used car at a clothing store. read more

My fiance and one of his groomsmen visited this store today. Even though they had scheduled an appointment, none of the staff acted aware of it and they had to wait for 20 minutes before someone eventually helped them. The store was incredibly disorganized and the staff member constantly wandered off to help other people with no warning or apology, or openly scrolled through his phone while my fiance tried to ask questions, even at one point walking off to take a personal call for 15 minutes. Both my fiance and his friend were insulted throughout their visit, which took 2 1/2 hours during which time they only received assistance for 5 minutes. Later, when his friend returned to get a refund after finding a better suit elsewhere, the clerk started yelling at him and accusing him of acting like his customer service was bad. He started getting aggressively hostile, the entire altercation happening right in front of his own manager. The manager finally stepped in and forced the clerk to apologize, which the staff member did with very little grace. Needless to say, neither my fiance or his friend will return to this chain or give Men's Warehouse business again. Terrible store with little to no apology for disgraceful service.
