We went there twice for my son. First to purchase a suit. Eddie is great and enjoyed his step process for selecting every little detail. Second time was last week for renting a tuxedo for my son's prom last night. The step process was easy, and selected the fine details, once again. I loved the fact there was a second fitting after the tuxedo arrived. It was fit for perfection and my son was so handsome last night. I went to Men's Wearhouse for the first time last week. I was one of the only customers in the store, with 2-3 employees working. The girl at the front was welcoming, and I wish I could have worked with her. However, I got pawned off to some other guy (not sure if he's the manager or not). I didn't really know what I was looking for -- I thought they'd be able to help me find what I was picturing in my head. He was nice at the beginning, but I could tell that my questions were annoying him, and it felt like he wanted me to just hurry up and buy something. I felt like I was not the main focus, and that my business was not valued, even though I spent nearly $500 my first visit. There were 2 jackets that I had altered ($40 to alter sleeves on 2 jackets with a one week turnaround is kind of pricey, in my opinion). One of them was ready a few days later, which was nice. When I went in to pick it up, the same person that was helping me the first time came up to me and confronted me about my review that I left (which wasn't a bad review at all. I believe I gave a 7/10 overall). I just thought this was wildly inappropriate, and a little immature to bombard me with questioning over the review that I left. Now, I wish I could give a lower review. I also stopped by again to make a return and pick up another jacket that was being tailored. No smiles. No "thank you." That will be the first and last time I shop at this Men's Wearhouse. read more

I needed some suits for law school, I went in wearing my work clothes... The ones I wear for my business.. I do residential and commercial repairs and upgrades... I laugh as I tell my wife, that it was a Pretty Women moment lol.. the lady there did not want to help me and informed me that there was not much on clearance.. I was like I didn't ask about clearance... Anyways it was a little bit weird, and was not going to go back but the wife insisted. My girlfriend and I are getting married. We needed to get me sized for a suit. I went through the reviews for this place, and they mostly seemed less than satisfactory. We decided we were just gonna come here and get myself sized. Eddie was the one that immediately greeted us, and he honestly could not have been more perfect. We went into this thing kinda blind and not really knowing of suits....Eddie schooled us on some basics and then some and was so cool about it. Never was trying to twist our arm for anything....just wanted to make sure we had the right suit for us getting married. It went from going to just get sized, to leaving with a suit....with both her and I just really stoked on our experience, and it's Eddie to thank. Just left after getting the old bait and switch. The guy tried to charge us a change fee after we just placed the order and charged us for everything possible. Definitely felt like he was getting paid for how much he could add to our bill. His coworker even started giving looks. I'll never rent from this place again. We went in looking for a suit rental for my husband for a work event...told they were completely sold out so we could either rent a tux or buy a suit. Okay no problem....they guy had my husband try on one jacket and said it was up to us what we wanted to do and walked off. We were literally the ONLY people in that store and stood there for another 15 minutes without a single person talking to us, so we walked out the door. So rude for absolutely no reason whatsoever. There's a reason why this location has nothing BUT negative one star reviews. I came in because I had attended a couple Bridal Shows and registered with the Men's Wearhouse booth. They called me for an appt and I decided to give them a chance, despite their terrible reviews. Have I not learned my lesson with trying out locations with one or two star ratings?! I guess not. I came in today (08/18/2015) for a 5:30 pm appt for my dad and brother. I brought them in first because they're going out of town and this needed to be done before they left. We walked in and I let one of the sales associates know I had an appt and wanted to try on some suits. The first thing he asked was, "are they the only ones in the bridal party?" I said no, I'll bring the bridal party in another time but since my dad and brother didn't need to match the others, it wasn't a problem they get suited first. He stated, "uh um we don't do that." Do what? He stated "We don't do separate fittings, everyone needs to be here..." And all I heard was blah blah blah we can't and won't fit them without the rest of the bridal party. By that time I was already getting upset. Here I am, A PAYING CUSTOMER, not caring how much of the "difference" it'll cost with or without the whole group. I'm willing to spend on whatever the total will end up costing. Finally I just asked if my dad and brother could just try the suits on to get the process started. And AGAIN he refused and stated, "um yea no, we can't. We don't do things like that." What's that? Run a business? I said ok, thank you and left. I took my business to Tux-N-Tails on Mooney (still today) and I didn't even have an appointment. They were more than eager to help. Now we're getting our six suits from that business instead. Try to veer away from this Men's Wearhouse store. I'm not sure if ALL locations are like this. BUT this one has Horrible Customer Service and imbeciles seem to work here. I had my prom tux rented from this place, and I have to agree: the suits are great. The fit was great at the time, and the look was classic, but it was pricey. However, their customer service is a little aloof. It seems that they're only nice to you if you're buying something expensive. I walked in today to get my thrifted blazer tailored, and as soon as I told him that I hadn't purchased the blazer from the store, his tone lost some enthusiasm. He wasn't mean; he was just less excited than when I walked in. He called in his tailor, a thickly accented man who, unenthusiastically, took a look at the jacket on me. He put a couple of pins in the back, and that's it. I would say it looked better than before, but for a simple alteration (taking it in from the back and closing the back vent), they were charging me about 55 dollars. Their price regularly would be around 33, but they add in about $10 PER ALTERATION to the price of outside garments, so that jacked the price up. I decided to look for a cheaper tailor elsewhere. read more

I greatly appreciate Men's Wearhouse immediate response and action. The experience was a lot better but still felt uncomfortable in handing over my suits to be altered (due to my weight loss). I am currently relocating to Los Angeles were I plan on going to the Men's Wearhouse in Woodland Hills (California). I feel welcomed the second I enter the location. I will continue to purchase my suits from that location. I will not doing any shopping or recommend shopping at the Visalia location. I recently had a great experience visiting with Rick at the Visalia Men's Warehouse. I was greeted promptly and politely upon waking in. I was asked what I was looking for (a double-vented tweed sports jacket), and in no time I was measured and trying on jackets. Rick showed me a variety of options that could suit my needs. No one was hard-selling or even soft-selling. Rick just gave me some helpful advice and presented options. Overall it was a great customer service experience! I recently purchased several suits from Men's Warehouse. I had the same suits altered at the Visalia store. Everyone was very professional, especially the manager Ryanne. She was extremely patient and made sure all my suits were tailored exactly the way I wanted. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and he's why... 1. They gave us the wrong tuxedos 2. They over charged us wanted the $99 suits they said okay and when everyone went to get fitted their total was over $200! 3. My wedding colors were burgundy they gave us teal and gray socks. Said there was nothing they could do but a refund. 4. Gave us white handkerchiefs instead of burgundy once again apologized. But I don't understand is how they messed up so much when we placed the order 3 months prior. So none of my groomsmen had handkerchiefs or matching socks. 5. Alterations and sizes weren't right. On the kids suits I went to this place cause it's high end and And didn't want the stress of going to another rental place but I felt I had more problems! Totally wasn't happy and all they could do was apologize. Apologizing didn't make my wedding better didn't make the men match. Luckily we had flowers to put where the handkerchiefs should have been! If u don't wanna stress and deal with problems on your wedding day I highly recommend someone else! Either that or get someone that knows how to read so they get you the right colors! I come here a lot for things that I need locally. I see lots of low reviews however this is not my experience. This is Visalia (not Italy) and when im at the store I see a lot of customers who are not accustomed to buying or even wearing a suit (maybe this is the root of some of the low reviews) idk. What I really love is that once you have an alteration they will realter that alteration for life. Ive had to resize 3 suits because I lost wait and no problems. I take advantage of the fact that they press your suit for free. I take my linen suit that wrinkles easily in often. Ive had issues with a pant cuff getting caught and coming loose and they fix it no charge.My favorite upgrade to my suit is they put some kind of glue in the crease and it stays razor sharp, never have to worry about ironing it. read more

Terrible customer service. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and as soon as someone deigned to see me (after a few minutes of wandering around their not-very-busy store) told them. When I was measured the individual who measured me clearly did not care if he got it right. And he didn't. The lady helping me did not understand the concept of "I need tailored shirts" which I so clearly stated and tried to fit me off-the-rack which I know from experience - as I told her - would not work. She also did not seem to understand what I meant by the collar being wide, or really thinks wide and thick are the same thing. It gave me a good opportunity to walk out. A shirt that I purchased at the Escondido store, which by the way, these guys were on me like a used car lot. I got answers to questions I hadn't even asked yet, they were great. If I could give less than one star review, I definitely would. 1st visit I come in for a suit looking for a certain brand, their manager comes out to help me and tells me the brand is out of style and out of fashion no one buys them anymore (Jones New York), and tells me this brand is in fashion (ogala or something). Tells about all his expertise in suits and what is hot. He has not seen the brand in over 6 years and I am giving him this confused look... And wondering if this true. I try the suits on he recommended, meh it's ok not for me. So I ask for the brand I was originally looking for to try on. He basically lied about it and doesn't carry it in that store, that if I wanted it, I would have to order it online. Basically he tried to sell me something that was costly and not what I was looking for. Then proceeds to tell me that I need to get shirts to match and would advise for me to do a little be more research on my suit selection? Was this guy seriously insulting me? Are you saying that I don't know how to dress? So I left after I got my measurements and had to order my suits online. 2nd visit. Looked high and low for a tailor nearby, and tried as hard to stay away from this place. No tailors available/or any seamstress locally, busy time for weddings I suppose? I had bought two suits online and ultimately had to come back, the most helpful person in there was their on-site tailor. Very sweet and attentive lady. Payed attention to detail and measurements. That was it. The only helpful and honest person there. We discussed on what I wanted on done on both of my suits. And being hopeful and ecstatic to have them done soon. We agreed to have them done on February 1st and 3rd. Then marks it on their calendar in the back. Mind that this about two weeks before. After that, I arranged pick up time with another employee there to make a payment for the suits to be altered and arranged for pick up on those specific days, I talked to him, and told him these are very important and I needed them before the 5th due to being out of town and requiring me to have suits to wear to where I was going. February 1st comes, I called to see if the first suit was ready. The guy who set up my pick up dates, he set it for the 3rd and on the 7th.... Why did it change? Did the carbon copy have a missing line? We agreed on the dates we discussed. And it was marked on the calendar!!! So I changed the dates to have them both done on the third, and then the receptionist proceeds to tell me do I want to talk to the manager? As if. Last time he lied to me. And this is the 2nd time. They have lied to me. I have seen the reviews about this place... I highly advise to not purchase anything here when the manager is around. Just get your measurements, and get your suits online. And if you decide to get your suits altered here, please please double check with them. Heck, video record them writing the date or marking it on the calendar. I will update on the February 3rd after my suits are picked up. Maybe it will change from one star to possibly 3 stars... UPDATED 2/4/16: Well the follow up went a lot smoother. Properly greeted and attentive to what I was there for. Then again. There was no one in the store. Had both my suits ready. Went in and got out. I'd still recommend not buying stuff from here. Just get your measurements or use the store as a last resort. Always triple check for any appointment dates/pick up dates. read more

I had an excellent experience here (Friday at 10:00 am) today. There were numerous sales reps helping me immediate upon walking in. They alerted me to current sales and the clearance section for deals. The tuxedo rental process was seamless. Unlike the other reviews, mine is 5 star. From the moment I walked in and was contacted by Johsua, I had a wonderful time. I am not too much on color coordination and needed some help. Joshua helped me find the suit and sports coats I needed. He went way above what he had to do. As always, this is the only place I will buy my suits and sports coats. All I can say is manager (who seems to have some kind of "standards") called my boyfriend DISGUSTING for returning his suit because he wasn't satisfied but he only wore it ONCE just to try it out and see if he made the right choice. Didn't want to let us return it, even though the website says we have 90 days to rreturn the suit if you are not satisfied. Had to call costumer service in order for us to be able to get our money back(yes that's how far we had to get in order for us to get our $300+ back) . So we dry cleaned the suit and returned it and FINNALY got our money back but the manager didn't want us to return the shirt and called my boyfriend DISGUSTING!!! When my husband went to pick up his suit they told him he owed another 18.99. He asked what the charge was for the guy said he didn't know but that he still owed 18.99. My husband went ahead and paid for it. He gets home tells me about it and also asks if his Han kerchief was suppose to be white. That's also a no. It was suppose to be the color of the suit because they didn't have one to match the tie we picked out. For a suit store pretty sad that you can' t even get matching tie and Han kerchiefs. I called the store and they looked up why he was charged more and they said bride changed from suspenders to vest. That is not a problem what ever she wants. The problem is that the guy at the store had no idea nor did he try to find out why. But the girl on the phone said it's right here in the notes. That problem solved. But now we have a very over priced mismatched suit. They will never see me there again. I think some customer service training might do them some good. read more

I paid over $800 for four suit rentals and was told by the salesman that helped me everything would need to be returned on Sunday, so I did. When I returned the suits the cashier said I owed $20 per suit for a late fee. It was obviously a mistake so they called the store manager Paul over. This man should NOT be in management. I tried to explain to him what happened and said I would not pay because I wasn't resposible for their error. He said to me "don't pay its your credit" . I said excuse me??? It was your mistake and I'd like you to handle this and he refused saying the ticket said Saturday. I explained to this man how can one suit be on time and two be late, he "said which one was yours?". I replied " they're all mine"..he said to me " you wore all three suits on your wedding day" ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS CRAP! I TOLD Paul, if I don't have a zero balance my wife will need to speak to you before this escalates any further. HE TOLD ME TO LEAVE THE STORE!! Ive never been more disrespected by a manager in my life, truly unbelievable. I told this little turd I'm no longer speaking to you return my items we are done here. This dude made me wait outside then brought a check in receipt out to me. My wife called later to ask if the balances were zero and discuss things with him and she fought with him too!! DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! We came here a month ago before our wedding to buy wedding attire for my husband, we bought $800 stuff from here, the associate said they will alter the pants and vests for us and they should be ready in one week, of course we didn't receive any calls and the day before our wedding we realized we didn't have his attire! So we went to the shop to see what was going on. First after calling them, they put me on hold first for 30 mins and then said they will call me back later because "we have a lot customers in the shop right now and we have only 3 employees working now" knowing that our wedding day is the second day. So we went to their shop. They couldn't find our stuffs!! For more than one and half hours they still can't find our clothes! They called the associate who helped us that day but he didn't remember anything or our orders, they were helpless yet with no apology, the dude there was having "I didn't help you that day so it's not my fault"attitude. We live in lemon cove we had to drive to town away from our wedding decor jobs to get this shit done. So save yourself from headache, madness, troubles and stress! Do not come here!! I didn't have a chance to read any negative reviews because I was sent from the Fresno location. The Fresno location was awful. I spent almost $1,100 in LA (where I live) & Fresno treated me like it was $11. Moving on to this location... I could not be more satisfied. I even got back in contact with the store before writing the review to get the gentleman's name that helped me because I lost his business card. I drove from Fresno to Visalia (about 45mins) to this location because I was exchanging a suit jacket & pants I purchased way too big for my brother & my sister's wedding was the next day. Fresno had called ahead to put them aside, so all we had to do was walk in & out, but I wanted to be sure of the sizes, so I had my brother try them on. They fit well, however the pants were too long. Since Fresno had rained all over my parade & told me alterations were impossible same day, I told the man the suit was fine & we were going to leave. He stopped me & asked about hemming the pants & I said "yeah but the wedding is tomorrow" & he said "give me an hour". He took my phone # & an hour later he text me to return. My brother tried the suit back on & it was perfect. It (almost) erased the negative experience in Fresno. His name is John Hargis. He was nice, quick & really turned around the day.
