I highly advise against visiting this boutique if you are looking for a meaningful bridal experience. We came here directly after an outstanding appointment at What's Up Europe, and the contrast in service was staggering. From the start, the associate showed a complete lack of interest, failing to even acknowledge the bride's guests. When the bride shared her preferred styles based on what she had already learned about her preferences, the associate used it as an excuse to exert minimal effort, pulling very few options. In fact, when a member of our party requested to see a different style, the associate dismissively replied, 'Oh no, she's pretty much closed off into trying anything else,' completely shutting down the process. Furthermore, because the wedding is in a Catholic church, the bride raised standard modesty requirements. While the previous boutique proactively pinned various strap options and fabric inserts to visually demonstrate modifications, the associate here simply gave a dismissive, 'Yeah, we can add something,' without offering any visual solutions. Ultimately, the sister-in-law had to get up and find the options herself. The lack of care, professionalism, and effort was unacceptable. If you want to be treated with respect and taken seriously as a bride, take your business elsewhere. read more

My sister and I are both engaged and were excited to try on wedding dresses together, so she thoughtfully scheduled back-to-back appointments for us. Because I work long hours and have a demanding schedule, she took the initiative to arrange everything on our behalf. A few days later, my sister received a phone call from someone at the bridal boutique. Unfortunately, the interaction left a very negative impression. The caller immediately questioned why the appointments had been booked back-to-back, and even after my sister politely explained that we wanted to share the experience together, the conversation continued with an unnecessarily rude tone and attitude. As a result of that interaction, we decided not to move forward with our appointments. Customer service is often a bride's first impression of a boutique, and this experience did not make us feel welcomed or valued. I schedule an appointment to look for a wedding dress and make the appoint for when they open at 10AM. I received a call saying that I needed to move my appointment to a different time because they open at 10AM even though that time was an option, which was whatever. When my family and I arrived to the appointment we walked in and were not greeted at all, we sat down and waited about five minutes while the employees were in a circle talking to each other. I went up and stated I had an appointment and the worker asked what type of dress I was looking for and informed her I was trying on size 14s. I showed her pictures of dresses I tried on and liked. She pulled a about 4 dresses and after I tried them on I asked if there were any other ones and she stated no everything else you won't like and they are too small. She then brought me a dress saying it was a size 6 and informed me not to force it on because if I break it I buy it. WHY ARE YOU HANDING ME A 6 WHEN I TOLD YOU I WAS SIZE 14. I also let her know I was getting married in a Catholic Church and asked for a Shaw and she ignored me and my sister-in-law went around the store looking for a shaw and was the one giving me ideas on how to alter the dress. I usually don't write reviews, but wanted to take the time to write one for Annabelle's Boutique because I had such a great experience there. I had visited several other places looking for my wedding dress (all over Fresno and LA) and Annabelles Boutique had a dress I was looking for close to my size (my wedding is in 3 months). I bought the dress, then a week later I went to begin alterations and Annabelle (I think she is the one who does alterations?) was SO patient with me and is truly an expert. I had questions and concerns and she put them at ease by explaining how fabrics go together, literally reading my mind on how to make the bodice more of what I wanted, explaining the difference in colors, etc. She provided her knowledge with so much patience and with me never feeling pressured! At first I thought she was serious, but no, she was very sweet! Maybe it was the mask lol. I'm very excited to go pick up my dress! Previous to coming into Annabelles, I was turned away at another bridal store because I didn't have an appointment. So I called Annabelle's and said, if I come to your store in 5-10 minutes, will you let me try on bridal dresses and the employee responded "of course you can!". I was so relieved. This being my first day ever shopping for my bridal dress, it already started off horrible with the previous experience that I had. I came in and was greeted by one of the employees. I was a little upset that she didn't really show me around or tell me how the dresses were categorized. It was really just a "pick your dress and see what you like" mindset. She did come every now and then to take the dresses from me and take them to the fitting room. After I had a handful I was ready to try them on so I went to the fitting room and tried them on. The employee came over and put the clips on the back to tighten them up but that was it. I was expecting to get some questions like, "what kind of dress are you looking", "do you need help picking something". This being my first time ever, I really had no idea what I was doing. After getting frustrated and irritated I hung up all the dresses and was about to walk out until Annabelle herself showed up. Annabelle was so helpful. She asked me if I had any pictures of dresses I liked and asked to see them. She pulled out a magazine and said these are the types of dresses that would look good for your body type and also are similar to the pictures you showed me. She pulled a few dresses off the rack and after I would try one on, I would tell her, I like this but I wish it had more glitter. So she would pull out a dress with more glitter. And every time we got closer to the dress I was looking for. Finally we narrowed it down and she said, I know what dress you would like. She pulled a picture from a magazine and said come back in 3 months and we will have this dress in the store. The dress was absolutely beautiful. Worst Experience Ever Just recently getting engaged, I was very excited about trying on dresses! That is until I came here to Annabelle's. It should be a very pleasant experience, but it was the complete opposite. A young girl helped me, but really didn't help me at all. She was very rude and down right horrible at her job. When trying on the dresses, she offered little to no assistance. When I asked her questions, she was very demeaning when answering just making me feel uncomfortable. I had picked 3 to try on, but just with how bad the service was, I couldn't wait to get out of there. This was the very first place that I went to try on dresses and it sure was busy. Annabelle was the one that helped me and even though one of her girls called in sick that morning and I had to wait, she was very polite and accommodating. So... I visited 3 different stores in Visalia and my experience here was by far the best. Let me start by saying I didn't expect to find the quality and options of dresses in little ol' Visalia (no offense) but I did. Before going back to reviewing Annabelle's- I must point out that there are 3 similar stores in the same vicinity. The other two I went into as well. One of them told me to make an appointment (umm.. Ok thanks I'll keep my money), the other store, when I got there showed them pictures of my preferences from Pinterest; well, every dress that was brought out did not come close to my preferences. Back to Anabelle's- when I walked in it was packed and difficult to tell who can help. But as soon as we got someone (which didn't take long)- I did the same thing- showed her what I like from Pinterest and she brought out two dresses- the problem was more which to pick. Went to the other two stores, came back and decided on one of the two from previously! She let me try it on AGAIN, took my measurement AND helped pick matching accessories. I'm definitely looking forward to when my dress comes and trying it on. The experience thus far...A+ Addendum: dress came. Did fitting. Love the dress and love the service. I love love LOVED my experience with Annabelle and her staff. I saw these ladies on four separate occasions and probably a total of 3 hours max but it felt like they were old friends. Every time I walked in or called they knew exactly who I was and what I was there for. I went to try on dresses in January 2016 and I was about to give up. I had tried on so many dresses and I just wanted to quit. Annabelle was so incredible helpful. I originally wanted a dress with straps but she suggested a strapless dress with removable sleeves which is what I went with. Together, we picked out a strapless lace Maggie Sottero mermaid-ish dress. We placed the order and it came in April. I went for a fitting and I was incredibly surprised when she told me that alterations where only $120. Lace is usually incredibly expensive to take in. I had about two inches taken in on the bodice and then another 3 inches on the bottom. I was expecting upwards of $300. Very happy! I also got perfectly matching jewelry and a belt to finish off the look! I would definitely recommend Annabelle's to anyone and everyone looking for a dress! read more

Annabelle is very friendly and helpful. She is open and honest with her clients, which I think others have taken as her being "rude." She is a professional, and she will give you advice and her opinion as such. Her daughter is also very sweet and helpful, they are a great duo! But overall, I love this bridal shop, and I love shopping local to help our small businesses! I called Annabelle's in January 2015 to make an appointment for Wedding Dress shopping. No answer, but I did leave a voicemail message with my name and contact info. They called back about 10 days later, which in my opinion is very unprofessional. I had already scheduled my appointment at Premier Bride's Perfect Dress and took my business there. I decided to give them another chance when it came to shopping for the bridesmaids dresses. I called Annabelle's and AGAIN, same thing happened. No one called me back for a week! When someone finally did, I thought ok I'll make the appointment and see how this goes... What was I thinking?! My appointment was this morning, we walked in and spoke to the first employee we saw. I told her my name and let her know I had an appointment for today. She said, "you can go to the front and let the girls know." I thought rude and strange, why couldn't she help me? But ok, we went to the front and let another employee know and she stated, "you can just go through the racks and pull the dresses you like." She walked us over to the dress rack and said, "these are the colors they come in" and she left us. No questions for me as in when's the wedding, what colors are you having, what's your price range, etc. My bridesmaids and I just started pulling the dresses ourselves since no on else wanted to assist us. When it was time to try them on, do you think they helped? Hell No! They just stood there! I asked if one someone could help us out and they finally did (after being asked multiple times). Where to begin? I arrived and notified the young employee I had an appointment at 10am. She asked me "appointment for what?" in a snarky tone. I explained I was looking for a wedding gown. I told her my budget and showed her pictures of what I was looking for. She basically said they didn't have any dresses in that style within my budget. Mind you, I just came from What's Up Europe, where they managed to find many dresses meeting all my requirements. My family and I decided to pull a few dresses to try on anyway. The dresses are crammed together so it's nearly impossible to get a good look. They all look the same as one another and all are over priced. I am open minded and pulled a few to try anyway. I have been here twice. The first time was with my niece who was trying on wedding dresses for the first time with her bridesmaids and some family (needless to say, there was a lot of us)! After Annabelle pulled a few dresses, my niece was basically ignored. She received no attention from any staff and was left to her own devices. At one point, my niece and her bridesmaids were pulling dresses themselves. The second time was not any better. I went in with my niece (the same niece who tried on wedding dresses weeks earlier) to look at flower girl dresses for my daughter. Annabelle was behind the counter when we walked in and we weren't even acknowledged even though the shop was not busy. After about five minutes of just standing there and glancing at the the owner, we had to go up and ask if she had any flower girl dresses. When Annabelle asked who was getting married, my niece replied she was. At that point Annabelle rudely said, "You?" and gave this us this snobby look like, "Really? You look way too young." Despite this, we tried one dress on my daughter which looked really cute and fit quite well. Regardless, I refused to purchase it there because of the horrible service. I went across town to Espi's Kids where the women working there were so sweet and incredibly helpful!! We my sister was done with the three we pulled for her we asked "do you have anything else she can try on now that you have an idea of what she like?" I visited this shop yesterday with my mom and I had the best time! Mackenzie was quick to help me when we walked in. Annabelle herself was quick to assist as well as her daughter. ALL of the staff are so kind and helpful! They all gathered around and discussed weddings and we just had fun picking out dresses for myself. I narrowed it down to a couple and plan on visiting with my bridesmaids and other family to help me make my final decision.
