I needed to pick up a decent suit for a formal evening event and I gotta start going back to the gym on a regular basis cause none of my many suits in the closet fit any more . Lucky I am a few miles from mens wearhouse cause the salesman help me find a really nice dark blue double breasted suit that fits perfectly without the need for alterations and cost was reasonable and worth it on short notice . Good place to find an assortment of men's suits , clothing , accessories, etc , and the salespersons have always been patient and helpful when my friends and I need a suit , etc. giving 4stars and for someone like me who is not a big suit guy , I actually look respectable this evening . read more

I went there with a group to rent tuxedos for my daughter's wedding that's in Florida. They could not have been more helpful/accommodating. They gave us the option to be measured/fitted here but pickup and return down in Naples where the wedding is. They even allowed me to do a final fitting in White Plains and will make sure the Tux is in Florida. Can't say enough about how smoothly they handled tux rentals for a wedding. We rented (and were measured) somewhere else, and did pickup in Tarrytown the day before the wedding. Of course, nothing fit right. They handled the alterations by noon the next day. Also, store has huge selection of casual clothes and suits to buy and easy parking. What more do you want? read more

Awful awful experience. I rented a tux for a wedding this past weekend and paid a ridiculous amount of money considering the quality and level of service. Service: I picked up the tux earlier in the week and stated that the pants weren't snug enough on the waist (tightened all the way) and the sales rep said that I just needed to tighten them more. I said they were tightened all the way to which he responded that they looked "okay". Who wants to look "okay" in a tux? Not me. This was two days before the wedding so I just rolled with it. The sales rep packed up the suit in the garment bag, but neglected to hang the shirt and vest properly. As a result, the shirt and vest were crumpled at the bottom of the bag. When I went to get ready for the wedding, I had to steam the shirt and vest for them to look remotely presentable. A nice 15 minute detour from getting ready when I was up against the clock already. Team should pay more attention and care when packing up suit items. Quality: The fit of the suit was awful. The shirt that was provided was starchy and low quality. It felt like I was wearing a potato sack as a dress shirt and the sleeves were seamlessly wrinkled no matter how much they were steamed or ironed. The jacket and vest were fine (after steaming the vest gently) but the pants were a problem all night as I anticipated. The pants sat too low on the waist and it made the overall fit of the tuxedo look sloppy. I wasn't paying for a mediocre look, but that is what I received. I shared my concerns with the store representative when I returned the rental item and he walked away from me while I was still talking. Will NOT be using this store or any other Men's Wearhouse ever again and I will share this feedback with all colleagues, friends and family. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This company lost my business. Ivan the "manager" is the biggest POS person Ive ever encountered. I went in there to have pants from a suit I bought there years ago let out for my father's funeral the next day. Instead after manhandling my pants told me that the tailor couldn't work on them because they were not dry cleaners and had hair on them. They are black pants. They were clean and had a couple stands of cat hair on it. The way he acted was if they were soiled and covered with hair. WTF is this world coming to when "managers" are snowflakes and instead of trying to be helpful are useless. If anything i should be wanting to burn those pants after he touched them. I walked in today to buy a couple of suits and shoes. Wasn't that busy around 4:15.waited over ten minutes trying on suit jacket's myself. You would think a salesman would even acknowledge that I needed help or ask. Probably two or three standing around one with a tape measure just standing watching me. So I googled another store on central ave. I then made a phone called asked if I could get help if I came to that location since I was not being helped at the Greenburgh location. I know they heard me on the phone. and still let me walk out. YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSSE!!!!! Made a purchase of over a thousand dollars at the central ave location. Why have store in Greenburgh if you don't want to sell.I read other reviews seems to have a pattern. Owners or the mangers seem to have a big problem on the hands. I know I would be firing a lot of employees if I owned this place. read more

Had to come to this store after being sent over from the Stamford location because they didn't have the jacket I needed. When I arrived I was helped by Jarred who made adjustments to my jacket, as well as to the pants I bought at the Stamford location. The store seemed very busy and yet they were still able to make my adjustments in just a couple day. I will definitely be returning to this location if I need adjustments in the future. read more

So I ordered a shirt a few weeks back and it ended up having a hole-slight hole- on the chest. I had no receipt, nada! But the one dude there was like phone number? looked me up, and BAM! exchanged. So A+ for that portion. Then I was interested in buying a few more shirts-CK dobby weaved shirt (white) and a green shirt and maybe another white shirt. Anyways, this other dude who tried to help me didn't know his right from his left. A clear look at just the tag, which was facing out, one could've known that it was not the right shirt. So I was like here, I'll help you out and find the SKU code for you to confirm. At the end of the day, F for that associate. I know times are hard, but hire someone who at least can figure these things out. The lack of confidence in someone who is trying to help you will certainly not make me nor anyone else want to buy from the store. Now this is a me problem, but the shirts there had a lot of lint on them- overall didn't look fresh. I would rather order online to get it fresh from the bag. But that's just me. And you would get what you want too knowing it to be true. Overall, A+ for the exchange customer service F for that one sales associate. I don't know the other folks there, so it could've been better, but for that one trip... yea, do something about that dude. read more

This locations is one of the worst establishments I've ever been to. The customer service is flat out terrible and they will never take responsibility for there mistakes. Ordered a black suite and got a grey suite but it was to late to change or even look for another one and not even an apology. My husband tried on his rented tux at this location. When he got home he told me the pants were not clean. I called the store and the manager told me that the carpets are dirty in the changing rooms and that often happens!! Also the shoes he asked for should have been a size 8 and a size 6 1/2 was in the bag so he had to wear his work shoes to a black tie wedding. The bow tie was also broken so we had to use some pliers to fix the hook. We went to return the tux together. With all the problems the manager refunded the rental fee which was most appreciated but heads up please check every item as we did not thinking the best but couldn't help but be disappointed. read more

Interesting customer service experience with them today. I've been shopping to get the best deals on suits,dress shirts etc. Being a big dude I went to the Big and Tall Shops, Jos A Banks and Men's Wearhouse. Big and Tall store quality doesn't work for me (I don't like blends. Has to be 100% wool, cotton etc). Jos A Banks for some reason wouldn't help me at all. Men's Wearhouse was a different story. They didn't have much of a selection in stock (again this is due to my size) so I looked online. Turns out you can order whatever you want from their online catalog and have it delivered to the store for free. Actually what the salesman did was have me try on a couple of things, do some measuring and now I have a list of stuff online to compare with the store stock. In one way or another my list will be complete 100%. Here's where it got interesting. I guess I haven't shopped there in 4 years and they have a club called Perfect Fit. The club gives you back $50 for every $500 you spend. I called the club's number and they informed me that I had $150 in certificates from back in 2008! even though the certificates were way past expiration, they activated them again for me to use. When I mentioned all the running back and forth between the store and going online, they threw me another $50. I thought that was cool. Excellent selection, especially for us big n tall guys, fine quality, good pricing (2 for 1 on many store items through Oct 21st 2012), the gift certs....oh did I mention lifetime tailoring? It all adds up to unbeatable if you ask me. read more

I just recently changed careers at 35 and a serious upgrade was needed as far as "work cloths" go. I stopped by in the evening after being at work all day from my previous job so I was a kinda dirty and didn't really feel like I belonged in this store. I was politely greeted by Charles, I proceeded to tell him my situation and how new I was to all this stuff. Without making me feel dumb Charles basically walked me through appropriate fashion in the workplace. I spent roughly 2 hours with Charles getting measured, trying on blazers, suits, dress pants/shirts, right down to belts and shoes. I had no doubt, but all my stuff came in yesterday after alterations and it looks amazing. I was extremely excited to come into work today with cloths that fit properly and comfortably. I am writing this review from work because of the multiple compliments I've received since 8:00AM this morning. In just 3 hours both men and women have commented positively on some part of my outfit. I've stopped by purely to ask "can I wear this with this" questions to Charles at least three times since my initial visit. If you are in need of this type of wardrobe and want to work with a professional who will not talk down to you (even if you have some very basic questions like I did), go see Charles at Men's Warehouse. Took a jacket there for tailoring and was told that it would take 6 weeks for the tailoring. Then I was asked if I bought the jacket at a MW and because I had not then it would take 8 weeks. Why would anyone wait 6 or 8 weeks for tailoring is beyond my comprehension. For a comparison, I used a MW in Tucson as my regular tailor and never waited more than 2 weeks for any garment including full suit tailoring. Sorry guys, methinks not... read more

Horrific experience. I've spent hundreds of dollars at this store before as I work in finance, and today I walked in to get measured for a suit/dress shirts, and purchase a nice tie. I had to ask two individuals to get measured. The worker said that the man at the cashier would measure me. I waited and waited and it was clear that they thought that I would not be a valuable commission, as other customers were helped first even though I came before they did. In fact, one salesperson with a measuring tape was organizing ties as I stood waiting for the man who was supposed to measure me. I will not be back. Very disappointed in this store. read more

I have patronized Men's Wearhouse since 1993 at various locations. Three things matter to me in a clothier: service, price, quality. Service: The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I've had alterations done within 72 hours for a function I had to attend. Price: Very competitive and they have frequent specials. Quality: For the money we have always been delighted. So you go in, they take care of you, advise you, measure you, and you always feel like you got value for your money. read more

We went to Men's Wearhouse for a suit for my son on Dec 20th and had a fantastic experience with Elizabeth Trabuco (Assistant Manager). Despite my bad mood, her professionalism, up beat personality and great eye for fit and design turned the trip into a great experience. He got a great suit (shirts, tie and shoes) for a great price and the fit and colors were just what we were looking for. Could not be more pleased with our selection. Poor Customer service. Rented a shirt, vest and a bow tie for prom. Paid $ 62.00 which is extremely expensive for those theee items. Shirt was wrinkled when took out of bag and had to iron it on top of paying for it to be oresssd and ready to wear . The staff never discussed the return date options during check out. Returned two days after prom date and charged $20.00 as a late fee. Have rented tuxedos elsewhere in the last year and given at least two days after prom date to return . Complete ripoff and poor service!! Save your money and find a local place for a butler experience. read more

So rented a tux from here for my sisters wedding. Did the fitting went back to try everything on and the pants were a little short. No big deal. Went back the day before the wedding to pick everything up and try the pants on again and everything was great. The gentleman who was helping me took everything and went into the back to put everything back in the back for me. Saturday morning of the wedding, I open up the bag, and the pants are no where to be found. After trying them on the previous day. Had to drive 40 minutes there just to get them when I was part of the wedding part and should have been enjoying the limo to the church but instead had to drive myself because they couldn't remember to put my pants in the bag (the most important part?) all I got was "I'm sorry, I don't know how that happened." No remorse, no offer of a refund of some sort, nothing. This was the first time I ever rented from mens warehouse and believe me, it will definitely be my last. read more

I've never experienced such poor customer service. I walked in with an open mind, and the Indian/Pakistani guy beside the cash register (who wasn't doing anything) said he would send someone to help me - no one did, and he finally came over after I waved at him - he seemed completely exasperated that he had to help a customer. I couldn't find anything affordable, but found my size in a couple suits which I planned to buy online - you can get most of the same suits much cheaper ONLINE. I went back a few days later to look at another suit, again mainly for sizing to buy on the website, and this large man with a beard was incredibly RUDE. I've never been treated or spoken to in such a manner. I didn't even mention the website or that I was there for sizing. For all he knew I was there to buy a suit from him. What shocks me the most if that these are commissioned sales people and they don't have any inclination to work or provide customer service, what the hell? Anyway, long story short, do NOT shop at this Men Wearhouse, but be sure to go there to try things on so you can buy them for $50-$100 cheaper from their website, and make sure you let the sales person that's what you're going to do as you live ;) read more

I just waked in to look for a tie, suspenders and cuff links. As I started looking at the table full of cuff links a sales person dumped someone's suit pants right where I was looking. I guess he doesn't care because he was busy so he wasn't going to make any money off of me. It seemed like there was competition between the sales people which makes customers uncomfortable. My husband and I had the worst customer experience at the Men's Warehouse on Tarrytown road. My husband has been renting a tux at least once a year for the past 4 years. We also did the groom's party tuxedos for our wedding at this location. Everything was okay until this June, where my husband was measured Large for the vest, but they gave us Small. It didn't fit but they kept on saying it does fit. I told them we need a large. Instead of apologizing then they brought a store model which they have for size fitting. THEY SAID OUR ALTERNATIVE IS TO TAKE THAT FLOOR MODEL. I understand that things happen, but the way they accomodated us for their mistake was out of comprehension. That floor model vest was all beaten up. They said the warehouse was closed that hour. I had to ask if they could call the other locations to see if they have one. Finally, I HAD TO ASK FOR STORE MANAGER because they didn't bring this to his attention and had no intention to solve the problem. The manager offered a new vest for us to keep and also gave a discount on our rental as a store credit. It wasn't the vest we wanted to rent to go with the tuxedo, but we figured that was the best they could do, so we left the store with it. This weekend, we went back to use the store credit, but the sales associate said there's 1 cent in the store credit issued to us. WE NEVER USED IT. I asked another associate to check, he said the same. The store manager was standing at the next register, but he didn't even look at what was happening at our register. We didn't want to argue any more, we are totally done with Men's Warehouse. It's just unblievable how a corporate chain has a poor customer service like how we experienced. Terrible experience...the guy who was helping me tried to rip me off. I went in for a wedding party on an agreed upon package for the suit. He then tried to charge me 200 dollars extra for the shirt and tie. When i seemed hesitant he acted as if he was doing me a favor and gave me 30% off the shirt. When I reached out to my buddy he said the tie and shirt were included in the package and he should not be charging you extra at all..when i called him out he started to stutter and didnt even apologize before given me a refund...never experienced such sketchy behavior from a salesman in my life. read more

If you have perfect fit certificates please realize, MW will not honor any remaining balance. For example if you have $100 worth of certificates, and use $70. you will not have $30 in credit, you will have $0. We found this out in the store, so we came home and called the 800# - the rep said this information is clear on the back of the certificate, only problem is this certificate was sent via email - no back and no mention of this in the fine print. We are done with this overpriced store, but for those of you who shop there, please just mind your dollars. read more

My boyfriend is a groomsman in my brother's wedding so we stopped into this location one Sunday to get the suit needed for his group. The woman who looked up the information for us was very friendly, but then we were passed along to another woman to help find the garments and the fit. She consistently walked away from us to chat with other customers, including when my boyfriend was trying on jackets. When he told her that the jacket she gave him that "should fit" was too small she made him try it on again (because she'd walked away to talk to someone else when he had it on originally) and then she agreed that it didn't fit and went to find another size. She then walked away from us again and we decided to leave this location and try another. There was absolutely no reason for us to give them confirmed business (it was going to be a $500 purchase) if they couldn't give us a reasonable amount of their attention. A few days later we went to the location on Central Avenue in Scarsdale and we had the most wonderful experience with their staff. read more

There are very few formal wear places in this area for tuxedo rental, which is a shame -- I would have gone elsewhere if I could have. I went to rent a tux for my son's prom. Stood there for a good 20 minutes and was not acknowledged at all. When I finally caught someone's attention I was told to sit down and wait, so we did. A woman grudgingly came over to help us, no hello, no smile... at the same time her colleague was telling customers that they are understaffed. So unprofessional. The woman took our information, measurements, etc. and did not even tell me the price until I asked. Rude, unprofessional, not customer service oriented, not friendly. NOT GOOD. read more
