It was established in 1907 and has over 40 various programs to offer from art to chemistry. They have a 13:1 student to faculty ratio. They have over 100 student organizations. 90% of students receive financial aid. Also, it's ranked #5 in 2022-2023 edition in Best Colleges in Regional Universities West. Tuition and fees are about $54,000 per year. Overall a wonderful university to attend locally.

My only complaint is that the exterior of this beautiful shrine is marred by ugly QR code banners which make it impossible to take a good photo of the exterior. I also hope they remove 'The 1619 Project' from its prominent display as it has been widely discredited and is a real insult to the 360,000 Union Soldiers who sacrificed their lives - as did Lincoln - to eradicate slavery from our country.

There's usually always one or two kitties in the mood for either playing or being pet. You get kinda attached to some of them, but they're also up for adoption so they might not be there the next time you go. They do have some resident kitties though - Sugar is very sweet and not up for adoption. She'll always let you pet her. Staff is kind and will answer any questions about the kitties. I always ask if there's a lot of children or too many people when I go, and they'll let me know if there's too many. I just want to relax with the kitties and my book and it can be a bit noisy and distracting when it's a bit full. I'll usually go to Cafe Caprice around the corner for an hour and then come back for quieter kitty time. They also have cute local art up for sale around where you play with the kitties and it's nice to look at. I usually just grab a soda when I go there as I've already had my tea/coffee for the day, but would love it if they got their beer and wine license. I would totes have multiple glasses of wine whilst chilling with the kitties if they did that (the cat cafe I frequented in Charlotte had it). Overall, fun place to pet some kitties and get away from your problems for a bit.
