Held a gathering at historic twenty event center recently. Short story is the owner is snotty,…read morerude, unprofessional, unorganized and extremely hard to deal with. Initial viewing of the venue was lovely. She showed us around and walked us thru other day so we put down a deposit. Then when I tried to make the second payment (prior to the day it was due) she had no recollection of who I was, the party we were having, what I paid and what I owed. Third and final time I tried to her, I couldn't get her to answer or email back to take payment. After a week, she emailed back and outlined the day again and shortened our time at the venue. Then didn't hear from her until 2 days before the party. Which she then shortened our day another hour AGAIN. Day of the party she neglected to tell me where the broom was, so I asked. That's when she gave me the rudest attitude for no reason. She loudly said we were OVER our time limit. Which was clearly incorrect bc I had proof in the outline SHE SENT ME! Then she refused to send back my deposit even after we cleaned up exactly how she asked. Trash was taken out, tables and floors were swept off. Everything was left exactly how we found it. She was standing at the door of the venue with a leaf blower with her arms crossed tapping her toe in irritation. Over the phone she said it was $500. Then ended up being more like $750. I emailed her twice to get my deposit back... no answer! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Beautiful venue too, it's a shame management has a stick shoved somewhere.

I attended a wedding here and it was a gorgeous venue for this and the staff were professional, helpful and abundant throughout the event. The historic mansion has a few larger rooms that can be utilized. It will not house a large event, but smaller parties fit nicely. There is an added on event space to the one side and they will add tents. The back patio was a beautiful backdrop for a cocktail hour. There was a nice stone patio with walkway in the woods perfect for outdoor ceremonies. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. On the downside, parking is a hike and a hilly one at that. For accessibility, you can pull right up in the circular drive fro drop off if needed.

The Landerhaven Event Center is a big conference/events center on the east side of Cleveland,…read morespecifically, in Mayfield Heights. It is used for weddings, work conferences, and other events. I've been here twice now, both times for a Cleveland Clinic women's health event which is a huge event held every October. The October 2024 "Celebrate Sisterhood" event was fun. I met my mom's church members there and sat with them. The event started at 9am but the doors opened at 7:30am when breakfast was served. The conference center has a large ballroom, the Diamond Ballroom which is where the main event took place. Tables and chairs were set up and speakers stood on a raised platform. There were probably around 40 tables and chairs placed inside. The Diamond ballroom is one large open room with no doors or dividers separating the room. Just outside the ballroom was an open area where food was setup. During breakfast and lunch, participants stood in line and members of the Landerhaven catering team, served the meals unto our plates. The catering team did a great job with laying out different vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The catering team were very hospitable by greeting everyone and clearing out plates and glasses from tables once people were done eating. For breakfast, I nibbled on a little fruit because the sausages and eggs didn't look appealing to me. For lunch, I opted for a salmon and vegetable dish which was tasty. Inside the Diamond Ballroom, at the back, is an area where endless tea and coffee were setup for the Cleveland Clinic event. I'm sure other events could make that section a coat section. Outside the main ballroom is an open area where vendors set up their booths so participants could purchase items. I bought a cute mini facial travel set filled with oils, moisturizers and creams from the black-owned brand, C-3 Restoration which was founded by a young female medical doctor. The founder, Ciera, still practices as a doctor. I also bought collagen powder by the same brand to use in my homemade smoothies and teas. There was a smaller room where additional vendors were located. I got to check my blood pressure and weight by Cleveland Clinic which was a complimentary service they offered during the event. In that same room, there was a section to learn about the brain and the plenty of paid and unpaid (volunteer) medical studies being done by Cleveland Clinic. I went to various events here - fashion shows, markets, food events, Christmas celebrations, and other. There are multiple huge spaces, two bars, and a lot of space to create your perfect event. I have also seen various very cool lighting in this space. I last visited women's event tonight at this location. The owners were very friendly and worked in collaborative manner with the organizers. The space was able to host over 200 guests and still allowed ample space to roam. This event space has large onsite parking lots. Street parking is also available in the area.

I liked the separate stage area and the multiple photo ops scattered around. Parking near the venue was not hard to find either. The only bummer was that it was shut down early because of the neighbors complaining about the sound. Word on the street is they won't be able to have shows here anymore. And by no fault of the venue whatsoever. Hopefully they can eventually find a way to make it work because it was awesome. No matter the event, I can see this venue being a lovely option. The Matriarchy is a women-owned private offices business and it is also partly a co-working space. LOCATION -- In Ohio City above Harness Cycle. Enter from the main door outside then take the steps up. EVENT SPACE/CO-WORKING AREA -- Beautiful, bright, and an inviting space. The general co-working space is smaller than most other co-working venue's so that's a downfall. There is only one big table with chairs. This big table is a bunch of smaller tables combined together which is how it was setup when I visited. Then, along the wall right next to the windows, there is a countertop with high-top chairs that can be used for working but if it's a sunny day, the glare from the sun will be shining down your laptop. I didn't notice blinds or curtains on those windows. There are also smaller round tables along the back wall and some couches to sit on in the center of the room. PRIVATE OFFICES -- This venue is better know for their private offices so no wonder the co-working space is smaller. I believe I counted about 7 offices when I visited. PRICE -- Email them to confirm but I heard it is expensive PARKING --There is a parking lot right across the street which isn't free. You have to pay to park there. There are street parking options too. I was able to park a few minutes away on the street along some homes, for free. AMBIANCE: Open space event room, one private room, and a corridor of women-owned businesses. The space is perfectly feminine, has clean and light pink aesthetic, and modern design. There are various nooks available. It's a blank canvas that you can decorate to your vision. The Vitrolite also contains other businesses - Patron Saint Cafe, Soul Space Yoga Studio, and Harness Cycle. Offices occupying the space are women-owned and carefully vetted by the Matriarchy. Rentals appear to be up to capacity. It's a safe container for women to connect and create. Event organizers creating in this space are some of the most prominent local businesses - Sante Supper Club, Belong Center, Little Scraps of Magic, and more. EVENTS: I visited the Matriarchy for various events - Little Scraps of Magic women's circles, Belong Center's connection events, Sante Supper Club's dinners, tea event, and Ghost Market. All events were able to accommodate many people. The space was setup differently with tables or floor seating. It was intimate enough space to really connect and network. I always look forward to attending events in this space. It's aesthetically pleasing, warm, and supportive. I really hope that there will be more opportunities to cowork in the space beyond office rental. If you're seeking feminine connection and support, this is the place for you as an individual or business owner. The women here are extremely committed to empowerment and support. The power of sisterhood is prominent here and lovely to witness.
