This was the second winery in a girls day trip and we could've stayed all afternoon just here. We lucked out and they had a band playing. High Horses Rock. The place was packed, but they managed to find us a table for five. We had some wine tasting and all grabbed our favorite to enjoy the live music. The band played quite a variety and had people up and dancing. I learned that this band plays there once a month. I'll definitely be back. While they had food, we didn't try it, but would definitely try in my next visit. Great spot to relax with friends or family in a Saturday afternoon in any season ! Amazing, we had been to several other wineries the day before and this one was our favorite. The owner was on site and answered our questions and was super friendly. The gal pouring the wine and telling us about the flavors well she nailed it for me on what one to try. The Baron! Very robust and I should have bought more than one bottle! As we continued our wine tour, we stumbled upon this place and there were no cars in sight so we decided to try it out. The building is very cute, with lots of tables and a cute bar. There is also lots of outdoor seating, many tables with umbrellas. They had a large variety of wines and since we like dry wines, we opted for the 9 dry wine samples. The person working was very nice and informative. The wines were served in little plastic cups, in a box, and we were given 2 glasses that we could use to drink from. Personally, it wasn't the best presentation. We were able to sit outside, and they even provided a few crackers to change our palette after drinking so many kinds. In the end, the Pinot Grigio was my favorite, and that is not a wine I usually drink. read more

This place was great to visit on a weekend to drink some wine, eat some grub and listen to a bluegrass band. I came here with friends and we ended up sharing a table with another random couple. And got a bottle or read and white. I strongly perfected the white wines. But I would recommend doing a tasting if everything and seeing what you are in the mood for. All of the food is well priced and delicious. It comes out hot and well presented. My fav was the pretzel sticks. There is plenty of parking in a gravel lot out side. This was by far my favorite newer winery in the area. It's quaint, cozy and inviting. The exterior is beautifully landscaped in the front and back overlooking the vineyards. It's also wheelchair accessible. The interior was nicely done in warm chocolate brown hues. They had plenty of seating, though I could see it filling up quickly. They also have live music on most nights. The wine was exceptionally good and some of the most reasonably priced in the area. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. The lovely lady at the counter really knew her stuff. My friends and I ended up purchasing a full case and a bottle of ice wine. I can't wait to go back to this winery. She will suggest pairings and make sure you get what you want. Their palette for bites to accompany the drinks are spot on! We ordered the charcuterie platter and did not expect to have a full brat, kielbasa and sausage skewered on a razor sharp knife...pickled vegetables and home made pickles with a coarse mustard and the very lightest home baked sourdough bread sliced into art. Seated on the open air balcony with a view of the vineyards is only matched by the seating around the fire pit and the seating along side of the cat tails...the icing on the cake...hummingbirds sipping sugar water by our table. Love wine a little higher than some places but Merlot is really good. Cheese tray is good cheese so worth it.

The wine we had was not good. We ordered the "Dry Niagara" and the dry rosé and both were pretty tasteless. However, most of the wines on their list were NOT dry wines, and maybe the sweeter ones are better received. What I can say is, if you like a dry wine or an oaky chardonnay, this might not be the place for you. Wine aside, we had a pleasant time here overall. Live music starts at 2 on Saturdays, the earliest of any of the Grand River Valley wineries from what I saw. Lots of seating near a small pond, and a tent set up for shade seekers. The vineyard is right in the back, it's nice to walk back and actually see some grapes. They seem to be doing a good job with COVID protocols. The inside is closed so they're taking orders from the patio, only one or two people at a time. The (very neat and clean) restrooms are open and accessible from the west side of the building. All food was brought out in carry out containers. read more

We tried some wines (we personally weren't super crazy about them) which were $2 per sample but I think up to 4 samples go toward a bottle purchase and bottles were 25% off during their happy hour. We had a nice time here on a Saturday afternoon. This winery is very simple but has a nice vibe. They even had a live musician come in. The tastings are either $1 per taste or like $9 if you would like to do a set of tastings. It's not a savings but a way for you to try all sweet or dry wines in a specific order. The wines were good and it was a reasonable price. I would've enjoyed learning about the wines as we go but instead it's a prepackaged tasting where the wine is prepped in small labeled containers for you to go off on your own and pour yourself. The surroundings are beautiful and they have a few rooms you can sit around in and a back patio by a lake. Also they have cheese and cracker trays but they are kind of pricey. The wine here is okay, wasn't my favorite but definitely very drinkable and i brought bottles home to try more. But the experience? AMAZING! I was there yesterday and found a great picnic table outside to soak up the sun and enjoy the absolutely delicious meat and cheese board while listening to the live band who was playing inside. After the entertainment was over, the place cleared out a little bit. We were able sit around the fire pit and take in all the beautiful scenery. Will definitely be back. Stopped here after Ferrante, which is right down the street. It was decorated nicely for the holidays; loved the lights on the pine trees outside. Had one glass of Blonde Ambition and ordered the sausage flatbread pizza. They were very accommodating to my dairy allergy and made the pizza with half no cheese, per my request. When you come to Hundley cellars you are greeted as family. This is easily the most inviting of all the wineries. This is saying a lot, because the owners and staff of most of the area wineries are terrific. This is a warm, friendly, fun place. Indoor entertainment in the winter, and outdoor in the summer. The 2020 Chardonnay is outstanding. Their cab franc and red blend called The Baron are also excellent. Recently, with new chef Tim, the menu has improved dramatically, and it was quite good before. The pork shank and short ribs are amazing. If you order either split it, because there is plenty for two. I am told that a smoker is going to be installed for ribs, and new seafood dishes will be added to the menu. If you stop in, tell Geri that Jerry and Annemarie sent you. read more

This winery is worth a stop and will make our list of regulars. The atmosphere was a cozy rustic contemporary with exceptionally friendly staff. It was clean with a nice restroom. The menu here was excellent and the items pair nicely for sipping wines. The wine list had a great variety. We sampled three. The Chardonnay was very light. The merlot was enjoyable with strong cherry notes. The Boudreaux wasn't bad either. All three were dry enough for our liking. We had the Brussels sprouts, a popular menu item about everywhere right now. They had dried cherries and bacon which went well with our bottle of merlot. The whole grain mustard on the side was a great mustard, but was odd with the sprouts. The outside deck seating was very comfortable with gorgeous nature sites in all directions. Music over the speakers would have been appreciated. It was 4/5:00 on a Friday night and all we could hear was everyone else's conversations. Music would have helped drown that out a bit. We sat our back by a nice little pond, watched the birds and enjoyed the peaceful view. The Brussels sprouts made by their chef were amazing! Tender with great Flavor. We also had the pot roast sliders. Perfect to share for a light lunch. Cooked perfect with a light toasted bun. Just the right amount of roast and baby lettuce. As much as I love reading Yelp reviews and thoughtfully planning places to go when I am visiting a foreign place, there is something so incredibly satisfying about picking a random spot and it turns out to be an incredible gem. We were enjoying a girls getaway weekend and had multiple wineries picked out for a winery crawl on a Saturday afternoon. There are SO many wineries in the area (Rt 307 has TONS) and it is really hard to narrow it down. This one wasn't on our list, but we decided to check it out. I'm SO thankful we did. The inside was so beautifully set up, the decorations, the wood, the leg lamp from A Christmas Story- it was incredibly charming and cozy. The outdoor area did not disappoint at all, there were plenty of benches alongside a little pond and the vineyard was close by as well. The customer service here was OUT of this world- it stood out against every other winery we visited. We were given free samples of the wine, and they were really helpful in assisting us in choosing an option. The one woman realized a bunch of us were ordering glasses of Niagara, so she insisted that we purchase a bottle instead, to save us some money. How sweet was that? I've had Niagara wine before, but HOLY COW, this one wins and is my favorite of all time. The grape flavor really stood out- making it taste like incredibly sophisticated delicious grape juice. We were all obsessed. We loved sitting by the pond, sipping on some incredible wine and also enjoyed a very delicious cheese board here. The cheeses were all unique and very tasty (I loved the horseradish one!). I bought two bottles of Niagara to bring home and some of the other girls in our group bought t-shirts. We all just loved this place. As others have mentioned- the labels here as truly beautiful and unique as well. I am already planning my next getaway to this beautiful winery! read more

This was our favorite winery on our trip to Geneva this past weekend. Wines were excellent. So much so we went back and bought a mixed case before we left the area. Most of their wines are semi-sweet which we prefer. After sampling some we picked a glass, went outside, put up an umbrella at a picnic table next to a pond behind the winery and vineyard and just enjoyed ourselves. We got to listen to music being played on the deck. A slight breeze carried different bachelorette parties while we enjoyed the afternoon and some of the best crab cakes I've ever had. Plump, moist crab sat atop a rich sauce with sauteed green beans and plum tomatoes. The wines, food, and experience here was top notch. We will be back to this place for sure. read more

Nice little spot, plenty of outdoor seating by the water, and the inside was really nice. Hundley is probably the most affordable winery we checked out. There are plenty of bottles in the $15 range which was awesome. They are dog friendly outside, which is a plus. The portobello flatbread was awesome, so were the pretzels and cheesy bread. The best thing about the chicken salad was the bread it came on, otherwise I'd pick the flatbreads. I'd definitely come back. read more

Hundley is by far one of my favorite places to visit. The staff is always very nice, atmosphere (inside or out) is great, and I love the variety of wine. I go on wine tours a few times a year with girlfriends and we always make a point to end at Hundley. It's like the whole day leads up to the grand finale. I am in love with this winery! It is absolutely beautiful inside and outside! The inside is all wood- someone really took the time to design this place to give it a rustic and cozy feel. There is so much light that comes through the windows giving this place a glow. The property that it sits on is equally beautiful. There is a pond on the back of the property and tons of picnic tables and high top tables to enjoy the scenery while sipping on a delicious glass of wine. I chose to come here on a recent visit to Geneva because of other yelp reviews. My boyfriend and I don't care for sweet wines which most of the wineries around have so I was so happy to see that they had a handful of Dry Wines to choose from. We were able to sample the dry wines for free and I got a glass of the Cab while my boyfriend got the Merlot. Something about sipping a great glass of wine while sitting outside in beautiful scenery just made us sit back, take a deep breath and enjoy the day. We were bummed that we ate beforehand and were not able to try the food. We were told that the food is only made from fresh ingredients and that the chef will not make dishes if the ingredients are not fresh anymore. Therefore the menu is ever changing. The menu in house was slightly different than what is posted online but you can't be mad knowing what I just previously stated.
