We were very fortunate to find Acclaim Renovations and Design located in Mentor, Ohio. I can not tell you how they turned our old and tired kitchen it to a sensational up to date kitchen. Visitors who see the kitchen are shocked at the transformation. Acclaim is not your usual contractor performing work on your house. The workers doing your remodel are employees of the company and not subcontractors. There is no down time. When they project your start and end to the project you can bank on it. The workers start the same time each day and end up the same time. The clean up is excellent each and every day. There are no surprises. They have a program called co- construct in which every decision is reviewed and approved on line as it occurs. Any changes that may increase or decrease the cost of your project are approved by both parties. The companies they use to get your products for your remodel are helpful and offer guidance. They also provide the option of having a designer assigned to your project and its worth every penny you spend. The owner Bob Gallese expects top level design and renovation. I always say a mark of an excellent company is its leadership and Bob is involved in every way. An on site supervisor visits the job every day to assure your projects is constructed as expected. All my hardwood floors had to be replaced and Calvetta Bros. worked with me in bringing wood samples to my home which were to heavy for me to carry. Once the wood was selected their installers were very professional, moved my furniture, removed the old flooring and installed the new wood and baseboards. They cleaned up every night by sweeping and vacuuming my home and garage where they had to cut the wood. The installers were friendly and considerate and were on time every day. I would recommend Calvetta Bros. for all your flooring needs. Visit their beautiful showroom to see their lovely display of everything imaginable to beautify your home.

There are many great things to say: He always answers his phone, and is very generous with his time answering your questions. His inspections are broad and very detailed. He identified a long list of issues, many of which were small and could have easily been overlooked. Some inspectors only use binoculars or drones to inspect the roof. Chuck climbs up on the roof and inspects it up close, which is 100% necessary in my opinion. With that service alone, he discovered 6 issues, and saved me a bunch of money. Since we have a toddler, I requested specific water tests that are not listed on his website. Chuck happily collaborated with the local water testing facility to administer the extra tests properly. My brother-in-law was so impressed by Chuck that he will be using him on his next home purchase. After the service is complete, you will receive a PDF report of the findings. The report is clean, well-designed, color-coded, and easy to understand. Photos are large and easy to see. Descriptions are succinct and easy to communicate to contractors. I've seen reports from other inspectors, and they are terrible by comparison. (Small grainy photos, unclear descriptions, disorganized, and ugly.) Chucks reports are professional and presentable. We'll be moving into the house in a few weeks, and I am confident that it will be in the exact condition that Chuck reported. I was harassed online and the owner of this company made me feel unsafe. I also think the owner overcharges for services and is a racist. He may do good work, but I will never hire or recommend this company YMMV My original review of this company was on Facebook. I went to look it up today because I usually don't recommend leaving negative reviews and wanted to use it in as an example of when it was appropriate to leave a negative review... I had some very specific examples in it. I'm not sure how they managed to get that deleted, but they did.
