I heard about MLI from my friends who transferred to this school a month earlier than me. MLI offers great promotion price for transfer students and a variety of programs. In the beginning, I enrolled in a Conversation program. I was struggling with understanding American slang, but this program helped me do not hesitate to talk with native speakers. After completion of the Conversation program, I enrolled in the TOEFL program in the evening. My teacher was amazing! I got the score I needed and I improved my English generally (my vocabulary, pronunciation and writing skills). I reccomend this English Language School to those who want to improve their English quickly and effectively. The teachers are very experienced, prepared and professional! I couldn't believe I would ever improve my English in 4 weeks but I really did! They teach you in the way you will improve and remember all the grammar and vocabulary just attending the classes. I recommend MLI. They have a lot of great teachers and the staff is very friendly. They have a lot of courses for every level of english and you can improve your skills very quickly. I really enjoy going there. They also organize school activities now and then which are always fun. The school equipment could be better, as there is always a line in front of the restrooms and the chairs provided are not very comfortable. I chose the Mentor Language Institute because of the lowest cost of MLI program compare to other schools. MLI has Good location and security and Good Classes and Good teachers. I think the most important thing to learn English is vocabulary. English is a one of a language and language skill is almost equal to vocabulary. For TOEFL is the same, our teacher's explanation is always based on the hypothesis that students have already understood what is written in a passage. read more

When I first got to the school I could not speak English at all. I studied there for 2 years and now I am transferring to Santa Monica College.
