They were also too high-quality for me to want to just give away/sell and replace with something new. So she gave me some great options and was willing to just wing it. The dining table had wood grain underneath, and she stained it a lovely natural tone. The other one couldn't be stained, so I picked a crazy color--purple--and she finished it with high-gloss finish. I wasn't happy with the first version and ended up going to pick my own. No biggie--she repainted it for just the cost of the extra paint--and now I love it. I would much rather reuse high-quality furniture than buy something new and crappy to replace. So Eli and her assistant are a great alternative to that. Oh, and one of the previous reviews complained about the delivery service. But if you don't want to pay for it, you can simply bring it to her and pick it up yourself. :-) Anyway, I cannot recommend her enough! :-)

I told him the repair was "still visible" and wrote such on his paperwork. He said it was impossible to hide the repair. The service repairman then refused to let me take a picture of the document that I just signed where I wrote "still visible". In fact, he snapped his folder shut, not letting me take my picture. I said I knew the owner of the furniture company and would communicate directly with him that the repairman was very disrespectful. The repairman then hit my doors with his tools, damaging such. I am nonplussed to say the least.

When I managed to get the repair (a table refinish) on their calendar, it took them three tries to pick up the table because they just kept canceling at the last minute. Took them three more tries to return it, and the varnish has a bubble in it, as you can see in the attached image. I left them what I thought was a charitable 3 star review, and they contacted me and threatened to publicly accuse me of a crime if I didn't take the review down. So now it's a 1 star review. Bad, bad, bad. Avoid.

Within a few months of our new carpet, it displayed complete matting. I notified our contractor who told me to contact them directly. That was a year ago and Schmidt is just giving me a new run around every few months. I am so fed up and disappointed how this amazing flooring and service company has fallen. I'm still hopeful and will definitely update when (if) they resolve the issue.
