This was a very cute, smaller version of the Milwaukee public market. It seems like a great place to meet up with friends and family for a nice time out. On my visit, I dined at Boca Rica (a Mexican restaurant) with my friend. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our meal. Afterwards, we walked around the market and then sat outside by the fire pit. The MPM is constantly evolving places popping up coming and going I enjoy that the parking lots are around 3 sides of the building with good access to each store within the shared roof and walls. Great variety of food options along with desserts. I'm fortunate to live 4 miles south a short 10 min drive for good food and drinks at a reasonable price. There's a nice terrace patio to the south and some tables to the west side. Occasionally you will see a truck farmer in the fall with seasonal produce. Very popular since a good line shows many loyal customers. This is a good place to wander around or just camp for a few hours with food and drinks. Date of visit: July 9, 2025 Definitely a smaller version of the food halls you will find downtown Milwaukee, there is an eclectic mix of vendors here that really has a little something for everyone. When we stopped through I was initially thinking that I would get a shake from Purple Door because they have great flavors and I love the original in Walker's Point. Would like to try some of the sit down restaurants since the only one I had ever stopped at was Pizza Man, which has long since vacated the Mequon Public Market. Yet when we got to Lakeside Cookie Company, we were just so impressed by the staff and their enthusiasm for the product that we went with the cookies instead. I will say that the cookie--while soft--was a bit underwhelming for me, I am sure that there are other flavors that I might like better than the Oatmeal Scotchie. read more

Teeny tiny, and not much of a selection, but the businesses that are there? A+++ Screaming Tuna was recommended as a much better option than the location in the 3rd ward, and though I haven't been there yet, THIS location NAILED it! My sushi was sooo delicious, and the helpings were large (for me, at least); I have to rest a few times to clean my plate. Service was top notch as well! Happy Dough Lucky is another favorite, with unique and delicious flavors of mini doughnuts. La Terre is a great place to pick up a one-of-a-kind gift for the plant-y people in your life. St. Paul Fish Company across the lot is another wonderful dining experience with a great selection of fresh seafood to take home. Living on the south-ish side, I never had a reason to come to Mequon. Went to St. Paul's for dinner and there was a 30 min wait so walked over to the Mequon Public Market to see what was new. Good City Brewing is there, which has some of my favorite beers around the city. Got a flight of their IPA's on tap and their Oktoberfest. All were great. This is a very nice place for live music, they sometimes have real jazz. There's a Purple Door ice cream place and soon a Thai place is opening up which should shoot this up to a four star destination. The main problem is that there aren't any good places to eat inside as nice a place as it would be to eat and drink with friends. The food at the restaurant choices are all pretty mediocre, one of the places is an offensive cultural appropriation of Hawai'ian culture. The pizza place, more of a stand, often has no one working in it when it's open. Maybe I should write, "open." And that place is cash only. I guess I saved my cash since the worker was elsewhere. The music, when they have it, is upstairs where there are lots of tables and they take recyclable refuse so maybe the next time I come I'll bring my own dinner picnic style and just get dessert (Purple Door is very good and unique). read more

How cool is this place! I was really impressed with my first time at the Mequon Public Market. It's much smaller than the original downtown, yet still packed with plenty of delicious options and is certainly hip and trendy. I'd imagine this is a loved spot by many in Mequon. The parking lot is a bit small and tight to navigate, but it sounds like they plan to improve that. There's plenty of seating indoors, outdoors (weather permitting), and upstairs which overlooks the restaurants and shops below. I do have to say, I wasn't a big fan of what I ordered however. My husband and I chose to pick from Bavette and I had the Trout Salad. It was pretty plain, and didn't have much flavor. Plus, I was sadly a bit sick for the remainder of the night. That being said, there is at least ten restaurants to pick from so if you're craving anything from greek food, sushi, ice cream, to mexican, this is your spot! read more

Begetter, Beans and Barley and Purple Door ice cream are some f our favorites from East side MKE that is found here. We ate at purple door! I got raspberry sherbet and espresso! I do highly recommend the raspberry sherbet. Then we walked around the market place. We checked out this place called happy dough lucky donuts and we looked around at them! They were little and cute! Then we walked around some more and we saw that there was an upstairs seating place and an outdoor seating place! We went to Cafe Corazon and ordered nachos and we sat outside! The nachos were very fresh! Then we decided to order a poke bowl and we took it home to eat! We were thrilled to have a public market so close to our house! This is a great spot to bring the family so everyone can get a little something that they want. There are many different seating options, both indoors and outdoors as well. We love to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon grabbing a bite to eat and a drink. You can get anything from sushi to cookies to Mexican food. We like that the atmosphere is more laid back than the market in downtown. read more

This place is so cool! We live near it but have never been which is weird because we go to the Hollander there all the time. The inside of the Market is small but don't let that deceive you, it has a lot to offer. Plenty of food, drink and shopping options on the inside. It is for sure a place I can spend hours at. You have plenty of food options from Good City, to Purple Door Ice Cream for you or the kids, Screaming Tuna, and more. They also have a great outdoor area. There wasn't anything going on while I was there but it seems they have concerts from time to time. The outdoor area has plenty of seating, and even a fire pit table. There is plenty to look at with it being near train tracks, a bike trail, and right on a main road. What I was very happy to see is how clean the place is. We will for sure be making this a more regular stop. read more

Super crowded. We had to park across the street & walk over. There is a decent selection of restaurants & tables upstairs. I tried an acai bowl & it was not nearly as good as other ones I've had elsewhere. I went back another day with family & tried the mexican food restaurant. It was good but not great. Who doesn't like a cafeteria style location filled with great restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, mini donut makers, a flower shop, fresh sushi and poke? Honestly, Mequon needed this desperately to create a "downtown" location. There is plenty of outdoor seating with fountains etc. The 2nd floor has amble seating to meet in large group if needed. At times the parking lot came seem really full, but I have never failed to find a spot somewhere at the rear. read more

I live in Mequon and come here all the time. the managem,ent has completely given up on this place which is why all of our favorite places close. FFS THEY STILL HAVE THE 2020 stay 6 ft apart stickers all over the floor. I wish a management company would come in and freshen the place up, do some advertising and help out a bit! read more

This place is cool but there isn't much to it. It is extremely clean, it is easy to get to and super trendy but I wish it had more vendors than what they currently have, something more similar to the Milwaukee public market. I do like that Purple Door and Bavette are in there though. read more

Mequon Public Market is as destination-worthy as its Milwaukee older sibling. With plenty of food options, and seating choices (indoors, upstairs, or outside), there really is something for just about everyone. They have a lot of parking in the immediate vicinity, though I'm sure the lots get full during prime times on the weekend. My wife and I took our 7 month old on Sunday of opening weekend. It was definitely busy, but we were able to get food and find a great patio table to enjoy the early summer afternoon. I had a gyro and Greek salad from Santorini. They didn't have their full menu available just yet, but I was very happy with my selection. My wife had a breakfast quesadilla. I am looking forward to going back for meat from Bavette, and dining at St Paul Fish Co. This is a fantastic addition to Mequon, which has been in need of some fresh food and retail options. read more

We bought out dinner at Cafe Corazon. The bar was full but the Market was surprisingly not busy for a Saturday night. We found seating upstairs and the buzzer system worked well. The food was fast and good. My only complaint is all the wasteful plastic used to serve our food = plastic to-go containers inside plastic bags with plastic forks... . I don't understand why they can't use regular plates with a serving tray and silverware when we are eating there? read more

I really enjoyed this new market in the Milwaukee area! My friend and I went to screaming tuna for some bomb sushi and were pleasantly surprised that the location was part of this market. They have a lot of great options-santorini (Greek food), beans and barley (vegetarian), purple door ice cream (local), and anodyne coffee. We really enjoyed the food at screaming tuna. It was only $10 for miso soup and 2 rolls for their lunch special that goes until 2. The miso soup which is usually kind of underwhelming was delicious and full bodied with fresh vegetables. The drinks were very well balanced and bright-my only complaint is that I wish there would've been more options for me to try (they only had 2). The waiter was young and it was hard to get his attention to order food and drinks. I got a post lunch latte at anodyne which was pretty good, I got a mint matcha pistachio latte which surprisingly worked. I prefer valentine or colectivo if we're talking local coffee shops because their espresso is better quality. read more

I want to love this place, but the past couple of times I've been there I've been struck by how loud the HVAC system is. The first time I visited, I remember it being loud, but chalked it up to it being busy. The next time we visited in the evening and it was considerably slower and it was SO loud! It made it very difficult to enjoy our town there. That aside, it's a great place to stop for ice cream and coffee! read more

Cool concept for a growing city like Mequon. Inside there are several restaurants to choose from. There is a Greek restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a sushi place, ice cream, donuts and more. The Mexican place is the only one I have tried. Parking is limited, but they will improve that, I think. Additional seating available upstairs. The anticipation is finally over. The market opened last week Saturday June 22nd and it's pretty amazing. I stopped by for some coffee from Anodyne and it was delicious.
