I went in expecting the same genial atmosphere and relaxing time. When I got to Palace there was no one at the reception desk. A woman on a cellphone seated at corner station asked me if I had an appointment, I said yes and she said something I didn't hear, waved her hand and sat back down. A customer seated in reception area explained she wanted me to pick out a color. I looked around and found some bottles in a back corner. The sweet/ helpful customer stood up and walked me around a corner (not visible from the reception area) and showed me where the non gel polish was. I jokingly asked if she worked here, she laughed and I was still in a genial mood. It just went downhill from there. After a while the "receptionist" took me to a chair filled the tub with water, told me to sit and walked away. The chair needed to be adjusted and the buttons weren't responding at first,finally got it to respond somewhat,that as good as I could do. Then Joe walks out, I smile say hello, how's it going he says good and places a pillow in my lap and begins a dry manicure. He doesn't ask how I want my nails. I finally stopped him and explained. Then we were off to the races. I had him redo some nails as they were rough and one actually had a nail hanging from it. Then on to the pedicure. Once again Joe is running the 100 and I stop him to redo as I wanted my nails short and rounded. He then comes to me with something in his hand and places a toenail in mine as if to say what?!! I place the toe nail on the tray. I don't say anything except I want them shorter. Now I realize language may have been a barrier but, I was patient and noncomplaining until he handed me my toenail. After that I was astounded. He did shorten my nails When he was painting my nails he didn't use a separator, I don't even know if he put the clear polish on top. When he finished he got up put my flipflops on and starts to leave, I ask him if my nails are dry? He say 5 minutes and walks away. I checked other stations and saw how my mani pedis are usually done. The only time I was escorted to the front desk was when Joe handed me the bill. I know people who go there but, BOOK with a specific operator. I only wish I had gotten the "receptionist's name too for this review. I will be looking else where.
