She has the gentle demeanor of a baby lamb with the precision and strength of a mountain goat. She seamlessly blended hot rocks, deep tissue work, stretches, and exfoliation. She consistently checked in with me to ensure the rocks weren't too hot and that she wasn't massaging too hard, and she was very thoughtful about areas that don't get a lot of attention -- for instance, the outer edges of my knees, the insides of my ankles, and the area on my face where my cheek meets my ear. The price for the massage was extremely reasonable, and probably the best price-to-value massage I've ever received. If you're looking for a good strong Asian massage, this is the place. The technique is very good. It gets to all those difficult places that most masseuse just don't know how to tackle. This is not your Swedish massage or one of those barely addresses any tension massages. Wow. Nana is one of a kind. A small woman in stature, but don't let that fool you, she is STRONG and incredibly skilled. I decided to give her a try after reading the raving Yelp reviews. After giving her a call and finding out that a 60 minute massage was only $50, I couldn't help but book. This was quite a bit less than the other prices I was finding locally. Especially considering she utilizes Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone AND Shiatsu techniques during those 60 minutes. Her studio is located in the Kmart shopping center. Her waiting lobby is comfortable and inviting. She leads you back to a relaxing dimly lit room, and once ready begins the massage by placing warmed bean bags on your back which feel amazing. She inquired about the pressure I wanted and I told her medium. Medium is not for the meek, as she blew me away with her strength and technique. I let her know I had a knot below my neck that had been giving me a lot of discomfort. She made sure to focus that area without neglecting anywhere else, truly making it a full body massage. The Hot Stone therapy was my absolute favorite. The way she utilized them was beyond relaxing and therapeutic. Since this location is located in a shopping center, you are not going to get the completely silent massage you may experience if at a spa (I.e. I heard fire engine sirens, a car door slam). However, I was not upset by this, as I was paying a third of the price I would at one of those spas. Nana Massage is great for the budget conscious, for those who need a regular massage, or anyone who wants to support someone who seems very passionate about her craft. After paying, Nana literally comes out and Will give you a hug, she is so grateful for the patronage. Update a couple days later, and I feel SO much better. She really does a great job. read more

The ambience is not plush or luxurious and the small storefront is in a shopping mall next to a smoke shop, but they offer fabulous, thorough massages, a caring atmosphere, and big hugs! No frills means they can provide wonderful service for a great price - $50 for an hour long massage, including hot stones, warm towels, and a variety of massage techniques as needed. I have had hundreds of massages my entire life and I must say that Nana provides one of the best massages I have ever received. There are many different types of massages that provide a variety of health benefits. Nana has a very intuitive sense of what your body needs to get back to a place of perfect health. She also has a very good technique of using her strong hands and her elbows, sometimes. to give you a deep tissue massage that helps to really relax tight muscles. Her combination of warm towels and warm stones is a delight and those also help to relax tight muscles. I also like the way she uses the warm stones to provide a very unique massage technique. Nana is extremely talented at the art of massage and not only is she an expert with helping your body heal in certain places that need extra work, such as when I came in with a strained shoulder and arm muscle, but she works very hard to help in any way she can from the beginning to the end of the massage session.
