Nice people. However, the woman doing my gel manicure cut the heck out of my finger (she felt really bad). We couldn't get the blood to stop, they were kind with getting me napkins etc. I was a little taken back they tried to use nail glue and other questionable products to get the bleeding to stop. Seemed like they were just wanted to get the manicure over with. Eventually with my request they got me some antibiotic ointment. She eventually just proceeded to paint over the bloody nail and put a bandaid over it. The manicure overall was not good quality. Worst part.. they still made me pay for it! That was the most upsetting part, and my nails look pretty horrible!!

This place is the best nail place I have been to. I moved to SLO 2 years ago and was looking for a nail place. Came across this place and met the owner Cindy. She is such a sweet and knows exactly how to treat her customers. She does an amazing job and really throughly She does a great job with a full face waxing as well. Couldn't have found a better place. Great employees and atmosphere. read more

Really good service overall. ask lots of questions in general about the nails and what you preferably want with lengthwise size/exact color. They maintain a clean business environment. Sinks/bathrooms are clean. People are clean in general & maintain their own working places and business as a whole. 10/10 read more

I came here as a walk in randomly. They sat me right away. Had lots of color to choose from. The women who my guess is the own was very friendly and personable. An older gentleman did my toes for me. And while they aren't horrible they aren't good either. I would go back just for the good vibes but if you're picky I'd keep looking. read more

They do not listen. Our bride had taken her own color to specifically go with her wedding colors. The person who did her nails TWO DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING insisted on putting a coat of black underneath her nails. She let him do one and told him she didn't like it. She was so frazzled and others in the wedding party were getting theirs done so there was a lot of distraction. When she looked again he had painted them all black. He proceeded to add the color she brought which was a soft color. She was so stressed she just left and paid who knows how much. Back at Madonna inn she spent two hours having friends remove the horrid colors while she was in tears. A friend repainted them the lovely soft color she had wanted. It was a late night and full of unexpected stress. When a customer tells you they don't like it for heaven's sake LISTEN. Luckily I wasn't there or I would have had words and the issue would have been fixed AND for free. Never recommend this place. read more

RUN, don't walk away from Sky Nails in San Luis Obispo. I went in with high hopes -- Ken did my nails, and while his personality was great, the actual work was a nightmare. I thought I'd found my new go-to, but no way. My acrylic fill with gel polish started peeling off just TWO DAYS after my appointment, and it kept peeling from there. Three weeks later, I finally went to a different salon to get a proper fill -- and that's when things got even worse. When they went to remove my fake nails, the technician discovered fungus on both thumbnails. And the reason was obvious: the acrylic wasn't properly attached to my natural nail in the center. Water had gotten trapped underneath, and when the new salon tech went to take it off, the nail literally popped open like a door because it wasn't bonded in the middle at all. I've been getting my nails done for decades and have never experienced anything like this. Now I'm left with a disgusting green fungus that has to grow out before I can even think about getting my nails done again. Peeling gel in 48 hours and fungal infections caused by sloppy, careless work? Absolutely unacceptable. Sky Nails is unsanitary, unprofessional, and not worth the risk. There are plenty of nail salons in SLO -- pick any other one. read more

I paid 85 for a deluxe pedicure and there was no foot massage. I received lotion and a hot stone on my Legs. Very expensive for the quick service and I look forward to the massage part the most. Pretty bummed. I'll just get a basic one in the future. Staff is friendly. read more

Rushed experience. Wonky nail shape. Left black hair from the nail brush in my ombré set. Patchy pink ombré mostly white and didn't let me select my shade of pink for the set. Tried to force me to use the nude from someone else's previous set from the desk and ended up using the previous ombré colors but the nude color didn't show up hardly. Didn't put the powder close to the cuticle looks like I need a fill already too. Never again. read more

I got my nails done yesterday at a different salon, and they came out really bad. I didn't even want them to touch it to fix the mistakes, so from there I drove over to sky nails and asked if they could fix them, when they went to remove the polish one of the nails came off and 2 of them were botched I had some cuts around my nail beds. It was pretty bad. Vee was so sweet, fixed them and I'm so grateful! I will see you in about 2 weeks! Thank you so much! read more

Worst gel manicure I have ever had! The manicure was incredibly rushed. She barely filed my nails, did not take care of my cuticles at all, and didn't wipe my nails off with alcohol before applying polish. Messy job all together, it is already lifting on multiple nails 2 days later! read more

I had an amazing experience! I came with my mom and sister, and even while waiting, they let my sister and I sit in the massage chairs which were extremely nice. I believe the person doing my pedicure was Tim and he was super nice! Everyone there was! I definitely recommend this place if you want a pedicure (I can't speak for any of the other services, but I'm sure they're great too!) read more

Tammi and Cindy were wonderful! I got a pedicure and simple manicure with Tammi-she is always skilled, quick, but attentive and funny. I have arthritis in my hands and feet, so she took care not to be too vigorous. Cindy gave my daughter an amazing ombre dip manicure! We are both happy with the results! read more

I luckily got in for a mani and pedi before the rush. I had a great experience with Cindy for my gel manicure. I had my deluxe gel pedicure done by 2 ladies and it was very relaxing and there was no pressure to do more. I've been to other salons where they want me to do dip or add more services and I don't like that. I had nice conversations and would definitely go back. read more

These photos say it all. When I got home from my Deluxe Pedicure at Sky Spa I realized the bottoms of my feet did not feel smooth. And "something" hanging off my little toe got caught in my blanket. I had asked the pedicurist to remove it but she was sitting in front of me talking on the phone, listening to me, and welcoming customers who came in the door. So the "something" was not adequately removed. The main reason I pay for pedicures is that I have trouble reaching my toes, and I recognize my limitations so I seek professional care. For this I paid $47.00 (including a $1.00 charge to use a credit card) and a $20 holiday tip. read more

THE WORST PEDICURE I EVER HAD! I like the lady who did my Manicure, She understood me right away, but the guy?? The bald guy, I didn't get the name, I can't count how much he rolled his eyes when I started telling him about the color. He rushed everything and only listen to his self, so rude! Pedicure and manicure. Very unhappy . As soon as they said I could go I got my purse and glasses and noticed 3 nails smudged. I wasn't out the door but I didn't say anything because I was with other people. By the time I got home my nails were so messed up I had to take the polish off. I don't believe my nails were dry when I left. They didn't use the machine that heats your nails to make it dry fast. I know because this happened at Happy Nails also. He also was very rough doing the leg massage. The vibe was get you in and out quickly. read more

A friend and I went in for a pedi and decided to splurge on the deluxe pedi. This was the fastest pedi ever. No foot/calf massage, my nails are a bit rough on the tip so I don't think the polish will stay on for long. My friends took a little longer but after she said she didn't have a massage either. Her technician was friendly and fun but we won't be back. To many other salons to choose from. After all of that they didn't take a card and their ATM wasn't working. So much for relaxing. read more

Okay.. Ive came here for almost 6 years and I'm not going back because the girl I've ALWAYS gone too Vee has just been taking advantage of my business I went in for a FILL not a full set at all just a tip too.. charged me 55 dollars I'm done with it she's up charged for No reason at all. It's honestly sad and ridiculous never going here again my nails are sooo thick and are just plain ugly never gives you what you ask she just does what she wants with her time. There are better workers there or go somewhere else read more

In SLO for work and this was close to the hotel. FASTEST pedi ever and not even mildly relaxing. Had an ingrown nail and left here bleeding. Praying it doesn't get infected. Was a gentleman with a buzzcut who did the pedi. read more

Literally still in my car in the parking lot.. no WORDS WOULD DESCRIBE how I'm feeling right now.. they are bumpy and unbelievably uneven, he asked me if they are okay I just said " I'm not happy i don't want a design anymore" so the woman next to him spoke in Vietnamese to just put a coat on.. Nice service but very sloppy work. I gave them multiple chances for their service but since I wasn't experienced at getting my nails done I wasn't sure on when to speak up when somethings wrong or knew if something was okay or not. I've gone there 4 times to get my nails done. Twice by a gentleman that wasn't so gentle and made me bleed. The other times two different women, one named Tammy, poorly worked on my nails that had overgrown 2 month old tips. I had specifically asked for a fresh set but was told I would be "saving time and money" then rushed me out of their chair with other appointments stacked behind them. They are the ones saving time and money having me go back & fourth to fix their sloppy work because I went back a week after Tammy had worked on my nails to get a broken one fixed along with a cracked one so it didn't rip my real nail off like the other, but the woman just slabbed more gel over it and started filing in a hurry because she was "squeezing me in". Next thing you know it cracks again because of the pressure she was applying and she said "Ohh no, it's fine." and puts polish over it and sent me off. That was a 6 days ago. Below is a up to date picture of my hand and how that cracked nail ended up. Unfortunately I'm not going back to have them fix their work AGAIN. read more

She will make you feel like shit, then be super nice when paying for a tip and have you leaving in tears, my nail beds are still on fire (which has never happened before) and incredibly sore.

She kept fumbling with what is actually the cuticle nipper and trying to cut my toenails with that (and I have big toenails, so you cannot just use a cuticle trimmer to cut my toenails, especially the big toe) and then someone else kept coming over and speaking to her in Vietnamese obviously telling her she wasn't doing it right and then she would show her and then leave and the lady would still continue trying to fumble doing very basic pedicure stuff that I could actually do at home better than she was doing! And then at the end they demanded cash and there were no other options given, so I had to walk across the parking lot in the little temporary flip-flops to go to an ATM and of course pay a non Wells Fargo ATM fee. And they did a shitty job, cut my nails uneven, the paint job was subpar (big gaps on the sides), and it literally started chipping the same day, and I was not being rough with my nails. This is a horrible nail salon! I can't believe that they deleted my previous review. SHADY AF. First, she toned it to smurf blue, offered to wash it out, apologized that she didn't understand what I wanted because she mixed my wishes up with all of her other new clients and offered to book an appt to fix it three days later if I paid her. Not surprisingly she then tried to change the time, the day and ultimately cancelled on me because she was sick and told me if I wanted to book a new appt, because she was no longer saying she was fixing it, now it was my poor communication, it would cost me 350 dollars. I have heard other people say bait and switch and that is exactly what I felt.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I went to this exact salon over a year ago to get virtual nails and a pedicure with a friend for my birthday and I was very impressed. However, my last visit was a completely different story. I had a 10 am appointment for virtual nails and a pedicure and everything went wrong. It seemed like they were rushing through it. When I came in they sat me in the back private-ish section which I thought was nice, but the service was terrible. They save the virtual nail sizes from customers past visits to use again, however, if your nails aren't EXACTLY the same time you get wrong size nails shoved onto your fingers anyway. I now have air pockets all over my fingers. This nails job I could have done with rite-aid nails. As for my pedicure, I chose a nice silver to go with my bright blue prom dress. As I was being "fitted" for virtual nails, she was painting my toes and I didn't notice until after that the polish was COMPLETELY SEE-THROUGH. I asked for another coat, which she gave me and proceeded to tell me that I should have chosen another color to go under. Shouldn't she have mentioned that BEFORE she painted my nails? Over all, I was very disappointed. Some of the virtual nails looked so terrible that I went back in to have them fixed and they turned out even worse the second time. Then, the lady at the front desk tried to blame the poor job on the shape of my nails. If I hadn't had such a great experience before (with virtual nails that fit my supposedly lumpy nails perfectly), I wouldn't have known how poorly they did but this salon has certainly gone downhill. I ended up going home, repainting my toes, and sticking floral stickers over the huge air pockets in my nails for prom. How depressing? read more

This is my favorite nail salon in SLO! I used to go to @Nails off Los Osos Valley Rd but got disappointed with quality of the gel and/or work. I decided to try this place and they didn't disappoint me! Great variety of colors, easy to get in, wonderful service, awesome results! I highly recommend V. V is meticulous when it comes to gel work. She listens to you. You don't have to watch her work, you can simply relax knowing you are going to get wonderful manicure and pedicure. I came for a spa pedicure, I did not get the deluxe because the regular looked like it was gonna be relaxing enough for $45 and the male technician did my entire spa pedicure in 8 mins!! This is not an exaggeration I timed him. Then he lets me know that tips are only cash or Venmo...you just made $375/hr so I'm not tipping you, you're a criminal running a scam business!
