I was just passing through downtown Houston when I was looking for a quick snack, and I stumbled…read moreupon this supermarket. what a surprise! The parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was easy enough because it was a calm Tuesday morning. To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. Overall, the staff were really friendly, and the entire visit was smooth. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Five out of five stars!

Perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior. The sweet potato fries were equally delicious. I got the Hill Country salad. Same tender but crispy chicken on a bed of greens with berries. So good. Definitely bookmarked as a return option.

This place doesn't disappoint from the friendly security guard keeping things safe outside to the humble Owner also on the line serving makes you feel like your back home!!! The Carnitas are tender but crisp on the outside, the barbacoa was awesome. You walk straight to the back where they have the 'coa waiting in prepackaged containers. You have your choice of lengua, chachete (cheek) or mix. (You can even buy the whole head!) I went for the mixta, since "the fat is where it's at" (tribute to the Randy Garibay song "barbacoa blues". If you don't know it and love barbacoa, you have to check it out on YouTube). Anyway if you buy a pound, they give you a dozen tortillas. They did have other items like carnitas and menudo, but I was so focused on the 'coa that I no longer could think straight and asked for pico del gallo, was told NO, NO pico, which stunned me, but I quickly grabbed the red salsa (instead of the verde) and ran to the cashier. By now the crowd of regulars was starting to show up, and a line was forming, so there was no going back and adding to my order but at this point I had what I came for, and the hot package in my hand was driving me nuts with anticipation, so when I got to the parking lot I knew what I had to do - picnic time on my car's trunk (wish I had my pick-up). It was excellent, very tender - low grease factor. I wish they had some pico, or at least some onion and cilantro, but the salsa was good and I will come prepared next time. And since I was so frantic , they may have had some other options but I overlooked it. On this first trip, better than Gerardo's.

The store itself is spotless and this weekend they had a carne asada outside and to be honest it was the best I've ever had in Houston! I'm so happy to live so close to it! Oh... Don't forget it's always a fiesta in there because the music is happening!

If you're looking for the best grocery meat section, this Fiesta has it !…read more Parking: There's a huge parking lot in front of the store, so there's plenty space. The condition of the lot is a bit worn out though. Also, the street in front is currently under construction so accessing the lot is a bit of a headache Groceries: They have a lot of Mexican snacks, packaged goods, brands. So if you're looking for the same things you get at HEB then you definitely don't want to come here ! That being said, they have a huge selection and it's definitely worth browsing. They also have other goods like clothing and housewares. The fruit and meat sections are the best though! All the meat looks amazing and the selection is extensive ! Same with the fruit - it's not as big of a selection like HEB may have but everything is generally fresher which I really appreciate ! Service: All the workers seem to be bilingual so if someone wants to work on their Spanish (or maybe only speak spanish) then this is the store for them! On a different note, the cashiers always seem pretty over it and not in a good mood. No big deal though. It's worth noting that if you come here for ice it is located inside the shopping area and you need to get your bags *before* you check out !

I got here often with my roommate and always have a great time mix and matching any 6 beers into a 6-pack deal. The fatty brisket and sausage is amazing. I love that they offer a variety of menu items now as well. Steak nights, wine nights, and brunch options show how much effort they put in. I wouldn't say the bbq is the best I've ever had in Houston .... BUT still deserves a 5 star review in my book.

I'm adjusting my review to reflect Veronica's willingness to turn this experience into an opportunity. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant while staying at a hotel in Houston for medical treatments. We had it delivered to our hotel and sadly it wasn't the best experience. When we got our order to the room we were missing one side that we ordered. We got Mac n cheese, green beans and potato salad with a brisket/smoked chicken combo and a brisket/ribs. I was shocked to see two pieces of brisket and a chicken breast for $28. Maybe it was an off night but the quality just wasn't there. All the food was cold (our fault bc we ordered it for delivery) and was lacking flavor. Overall, we'd rate it like this: Brisket 3/5 Chicken 2/5 Mac n cheese 1.5/5 Green beans 3/5 Ribs 3/5 Potato salad 2/5 Maybe they were having a bad night but I wish our experience was better.
