I was sent to Dr. Figueroa by my dentist at Princeton…read more The problem was - a cracked tooth that needed extraction and implant placement thereafter. Upper left. I read all about implants and when I saw the doctor and spoke to him, he knew every single bit of information I was prepared to ask about. A smart gentlemen! He gave comprehensive and detailed information, no BS, just substance. Extraction was a breeze. Started with no-pain anesthesia (Raul is using a cool technique to make sure you don't feel pain from the needle). Tooth was out in no time. Bone graft in place. Stitches were placed so quickly I did not have time to notice (confident stitches are a sign of a very skilled surgeon). Healing was pain free. I did not use any pain meds and all pain was gone by day 3. Bone graft was installed perfectly and tooth was ready for implant in 3 months. Next, the implant. 3D scan, surgery on the same day, did not use pain meds at home, was pain-free after about 3 days. A week after placing the implant I felt my mouth free from any hints I had surgery. I am very impressed. Dr. Figueroa is a thinking surgeon with outstanding hands. A.K. Out teeth were brighter and my mouth felt fresh and clean after my visit to Eastern Dental of Lawrenceville, NJ. Although I was 30 minutes late to my appointment I was seen and not rushed out the door. Yes, I was skeptical about trying a new dentist especially after my experience with the prior two that were aggressive, pushy and didn't care about the children's needs. I'm definitely driving an hour plus back to Eastern Dental of Lawrenceville because they made my family's trip to the dentist absolutely amazing.​

This was my first time getting a medical procedure done that put me under, so I was freaking out. Check up visit was great, I left feeling very satisfied with everything. Fast forward 2 YEARS and I receive a letter in the mail saying I'm being SUED for nonpayment of a bill and also charged an almost $600 collection fee for a bill I NEVER RECEIVED. I never got a bill, phone call, warning of any kind. I look through the documents and notice that someone in the office typed my address wrong. This is clearly a clerical error, not my fault, so I call the office- they can't talk to me. I call the number they gave me, they also can't talk to me. I call the number they gave me and FINALLY speak to someone that CAN talk to me, who basically says there's nothing to be done because I signed a waiver that said they would add a collection fee if I did not pay. When I signed that paper, I was under the impression that there was a level of competence at that office that there clearly is not. How can someone pay a bill they never received or were made aware of???? Terrible business practice. OH, and the collection agency they use said they've called me multiple times but I never answered. I asked if they left a voicemail and her response was they are NOT AUTHORIZED TO LEAVE VOICEMAILS. I mean, have you ever heard of something SO ridiculous?? This whole situation has left me so angry and disheartened. I never leave bad reviews because I don't believe in spreading negativity, but I have never experienced this magnitude of disservice. Make sure you check your files at the doctor's office, their mistake will cost you big time.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated during my recent appointment…read more I called ahead to let the staff know that I had been delayed due to a car accident and would be running a little behind. I was specifically told that I would still be able to come in as long as I arrived within the 15-minute grace period. However, while I was waiting, my appointment was canceled at 9:18. When I went to the front desk to explain what I had previously been told by the staff member I spoke with, I was met with an attitude rather than any attempt to understand the situation. I experienced a similar attitude from the doctor. I was questioned about my previous missed appointment, which was due to attending a funeral, and I found the way it was brought up to be extremely inappropriate and unnecessary. My personal circumstances are not something I should have to defend, especially when I made the effort to call ahead regarding my current situation. I was also questioned about why I was late despite explaining that I was delayed because of a car accident--something completely outside of my control. My health and safety are more important than arriving at an appointment exactly on time, particularly when I had already taken the responsible step of calling ahead and was told I could still be seen within the stated 15-minute window. What makes this even more frustrating is that during my previous visit in June, my appointment was scheduled for 2:00 PM, yet I was not seated until approximately 2:30 PM and was not actually serviced until around 2:30-2:45 PM. I understand that delays can happen, but it is extremely frustrating to be lectured about punctuality when I have personally experienced significant delays from the office as well. After spending $150 for my care, I expect to be treated with basic respect, professionalism, and common sense. I should not have been made to feel as though I intentionally missed or disregarded my appointment when I had legitimate circumstances and had communicated with the office beforehand. I am very disappointed with this experience and would like this complaint to be taken seriously. I hope the office reviews how this situation was handled and addresses the communication and treatment I received from the staff and doctor.
