Although I was 30 minutes late to my appointment I was seen and not rushed out the door. Yes, I was skeptical about trying a new dentist especially after my experience with the prior two that were aggressive, pushy and didn't care about the children's needs. Never heard back from them. Then I took her in recently to get her cleaning and again they couldn't get her to open again and I asked them about the X-rays that I had sent and they looked up the email and pulled it up the office manager and dentist reviewed but didn't talk to me and left me sitting in the waiting room for a good 15 mins. They used both Laughing gas and general anesthesia for cavity treatment…read more When you go for general check-up and find cavity, Normally a doctor would have discussed course of procedure they going to perform. like what kind of anesthesia they going use, what kind of filling n all. But nothing was discussed. Right before our appointment to treat cavity, we got a text msg to sign the laughing gas consent or else the appointment's will be canceled .This an hour or 2 before our appointment. Most of the first time parents don't know what anesthesia is used on kids. we thought it is just a consent for using anesthesia which is obviously required for cavity treatment, we gave it without reading it. in the fine print it is written that they gave many option for anesthesia and we chose Laughing Gas at the cost of 70$ out of pocket. According to consent they didn't gave us any option. Also my husband was there for cavity treatments, when he found they use 2 kind of anesthesia obviously any parents will get furious. Instead of accepting there communication issue they bared both of my kids to visit any of there center. Its fine i can always look for a new doctor. But the way they treated us and kids is very unfair.

I was sent to Dr. Figueroa by my dentist at Princeton…read more The problem was - a cracked tooth that needed extraction and implant placement thereafter. Upper left. I read all about implants and when I saw the doctor and spoke to him, he knew every single bit of information I was prepared to ask about. A smart gentlemen! He gave comprehensive and detailed information, no BS, just substance. Extraction was a breeze. Started with no-pain anesthesia (Raul is using a cool technique to make sure you don't feel pain from the needle). Tooth was out in no time. Bone graft in place. Stitches were placed so quickly I did not have time to notice (confident stitches are a sign of a very skilled surgeon). Healing was pain free. I did not use any pain meds and all pain was gone by day 3. Bone graft was installed perfectly and tooth was ready for implant in 3 months. Next, the implant. 3D scan, surgery on the same day, did not use pain meds at home, was pain-free after about 3 days. A week after placing the implant I felt my mouth free from any hints I had surgery. I am very impressed. Dr. Figueroa is a thinking surgeon with outstanding hands. A.K. This was our family dental practice for a very short time. Although we were satisfied with Dr…read more Gaines' initial consultation, and the cleaning we received, once it moved past that, things were dissapointing. First, my wife went in for a broken filling. She was seen by Dr. Lee, who is a lot less experienced than Dr. Gaines. The recommended treatment was a dental onlay. A temporary one was placed initially, however it fell off within 12 hours. After calling in, the administrative personnel suggested that we go to a pharmacy and buy over-the-counter cement and reattach it ourselves. Strike one. Next, my wife finally goes back for the permanenet onlay. The doctor did not proactively show her how the onlay would look (i.e. how close was the color, etc). After the onlay was permanently attached, my wife saw that the color was substantially different from the rest of her tooth. It does not look like a single tooth. After raising a concern to Dr. Lee, she was told that it was the best that they could do. Furthermore, the shape does not flow smoothly from the natural tooth, so it protrudes oddly and rubs against her inner cheek. All in all, it just looks like something was bolted on. It doesn't look like a normal single tooth. Plus, it's not functional. Floss and food are getting stuck as well. She was told to return in a couple of weeks, but it seems inadequate to allow a patient to leave the office unsatsfied and having to suffer for 2 weeks after paying more than $1,500. Strike two. So she calls and wants to see Dr. Gaines. He can't see her for a month. The administrative personnel act rudely when she asks about an earlier appointment date, saying "do you want us to cancel another patient's appointment for you." When we ask for Dr. Gaines' email address to be able to communicate to him how his employees are adversely affecting his business, they refuse to do so. Strike 3. So, we're moving our family to another practice in Princeton, with great reviews. Time will tell if it is any better, but this one is certainly not worth it for us, even if it means having to spend more out of pocket.

Brighter Dental feels like an assembly line with dentists straight out of Dental school with no…read moreexperience in dentistry. They're hygienists don't know what they're doing either. I was forced into a crown and root canal with a crown that doesn't even match my existing teeth and I can't afford to get it changed as now it is considered cosmetic if you have other options go and try other dentists in my area I highly recommend Dutch Neck Dental in East Windsor... in the attached picture my rear tooth was performed by Brighter Dental which is a very white Plain cap and although this picture does not do justice it does not look like the rest of my teeth the tooth directly next to that was just done by Dutch Neck Dental they said my gums were healthy and I did not need a root canal and the crown they just put on looks like my other teeth they did an amazing job so please avoid Brighter Dental as much as possible. After I complained at brighter Dental they said the tooth will change its color to my other teeth in a year and now it's been 4 years and it's still does not look like the rest of my teeth.
