Had a master bath drain line stopped up, which caused A/C condensation pan to fill up, because secondary drain was also stopped up. Water started dripping through the ceiling onto cabinet below. Called Mercy Plumbing on a Saturday morning and he made us his first stop. John quickly found the clog and removed it. While he was there I got him to replace the cartridge in the dripping kitchen sink faucet. However, the faucet continued to drip, and after a couple weeks I called him and he came back promptly and determined that the new cartridge was faulty, so he replaced it again. The drip was solved, but there are other parts that have become worn out. He guarantees his work for 90 days, so he said he could get the additional parts and come back and replace them at no charge. On the other hand, he told me that if I wanted to buy a new faucet, he would come back out and install it for no charge. My wife is delighted to get the faucet replaced with one that is more contemporary. After all these years she tells me she never liked the faucet in the first place. (Duh! I just bought a new faucet on Amazon.) So, Mercy Plumbing may not be the cheapest in town, but you generally get what you pay for. The previous plumbers I have used have stood me up, and not returned phone calls. John answers his phone, or returns calls promptly. He has a good sense of humor, professionalism, and tolerates customers bugging him while he's working. He is also respective of your home and wears covers over his shoes. Of course I will call him for my plumbing repairs in the future. You should also. There is a monetary value to reliability, responsiveness, and professionalism. If you don't like the value you get for the work performed, you can always go to Home Depot, buy the parts, and crawl under that sink on your back and fix it yourself. But, if you can't do that, then I would suggest you call John at Mercy Plumbing. read more

I normally don't write reviews or surveys, but had to express my experience with Mercy Plumbing. The bottom falls out of my hot water heater, so I buy a new Rheem from Home Depot and drag it home. I contacted 4 of the big name plumbing companies, we all see in our neighborhoods to get a bid for labor to install. What a mistake and joke that decision was. One co. refused to bid the install since I didn't buy it from them. The other 3 bid flat rate at 1600-2000 and a discount if I agree to their $99 annual maintenance program. I showed them the door. Finally, I found Mercy Plumbing via Yelp, and their reviews were refreshing to say the least. When I decided to call, I spoke to a kind & understanding ofc manager, Elaina who immediately transferred my call to the owner, John. After explaining my dilemma, and the runaround the other companies had put me thru, John said he would be out at 7am the next morning. Sure enough, he arrived exactly as promised with his helper, Danny. He immediately surveyed the old hot water heater and agreed it had to go. The quote he then provided me to remove old heater and install my new one, was shockingly more than fair and reasonable. He even installed 2 new water lines & refused to let me pay him for them. This was above and beyond my expectation of these guys. They were in and out in about an hour, and left everything buttoned up, clean and even quality checked their work afterwards. They delivered great professional service with a good attitude and sense of humor. My wife and I consistently had our hot water heater pilot light going out. Our attic gets really hot and our pilot light shuts down when it senses extreme heat. One day I finally could not get it to come back on myself. Knowing it was reaching the end of it's life anyways, I called Mercy Plumbing to see if it could be salvaged. They tried to turn it on a few times and it did not come on. I decided to go ahead and have them replace it with a new one. In the process, John the owner of the business decided to try the pilot light one more time while I was not up there just to check, and of course it came on. John could have not told me and just continued replacing the hot water heater, but instead he came down and informed me and asked me what I wanted to do. I was really blown away by the integrity they had demonstrated to tell me. It's quit a price difference paying for just a service visit verses a brand new hot water heater and installation. Since they did tell me and because I knew the hot water heater was on it's last leg anyways, I decided to go ahead have it replaced. Besides, it would probably go out again soon in this heat anyway. I decided to give them a call and who would guess I HIT THE JACKPOT! Since it was late afternoon, I figured it would the following day. But no, the master plumbing was here before dark. He explained my options, prices, warranty and waited patiently while I decided. His young partner then laid down protectors in my cabinet and on the floor. I had a kitchen emergency -a large kitchen sink about to overflow, with water still rising at 8pm Wednesday night. I called the first "guaranteed 24 hr" plumber listed but they could not provide service. I called Mercy Plumbing next and John quickly answered. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! I have use his services several times and always reliable & honest. First time, he changed my water heater for a ridiculous inexpensive price. I had quoted about six other companies and he had the most competitive one. Second time, had a leak which could have damage the foundation of my house and he charged me a flat rate, regardless of what he could have found. That was some hard work!!!. Third, changed the valve in one of my bathroom tubs. Part was quite pricey and he told me where to get it without any profit from it. We can't say enough Good Things about John and Mercy Plumbing. They are very Professional, Courteous, Fair, Efficient and Informative. We had to replace the main line from the house all the way out back to the sewer line.. about 65 Feet ! Had John of Mercy plumbing come out to check out my Water Heater. Spent less than 10 minutes and came back down and told me that my water heater was definitely broken and not fixable (without spending an insane amount of money). He quickly told my wife how dangerous it was and that it was leaking gas. He was also quick to give us outrageous quotes for a new replacement water heater. Had another (much more reputable) company come out and do a full check and confirm no issues just an annoying pilot lighting sequence. A complete waste of $100 mixed with used-car salesman tactics. So I literally had feces coming out of my shower drain due to a blockage in a toilet. I called a couple plumbers to see if any of them could come and check it out the same day. The only one available to squeeze us in was Mercy. Called them @10:00am and they were here by 12:00pm (that's crazy fast for a last minute appointment!) Mercy plumbing went above and beyond to address our problem with a plumbing blockage. We had a huge issue with one of the mainline pipes in the yard and John was able to diagnose the problem using a video cam.
