I was told they did, so I made the appointment expecting routine preventive care to be covered. Several months later, I received a bill for $77.45. When I called to ask why, I was simply told that my insurance covered only 50% of the cost. No one mentioned that the office was actually out of network with TRICARE. After contacting TRICARE directly, I learned that the reduced coverage was because the office was out of network. Only after I called the office a second time and specifically asked about it did a staff member finally confirm that they were not an in-network provider. I paid the bill and am not upset about the $77.45 itself. What disappointed me was the lack of transparency. I specifically asked about insurance before scheduling because I wanted to avoid unexpected costs. Had I been told the office was out of network, I would have chosen an in-network dentist. I also emailed the office to share my concerns and give them an opportunity to address the issue before posting a public review, but I never received a response. If you have dental insurance, I recommend confirming not only that they "accept" your insurance, but also whether they are actually in network, as those are not the same thing.

I had severe anxiety and had neglected my teeth for quite a while. My husband was so busy that he let dental upkeep fall by the wayside too. We decided to change that this year. My husband was the first to visit Dr. Nejad's office, Meridian Dental. My husband is very picky about dentists, and he was quite happy with Dr. Nejad's skill. That convinced me to go. I am very glad that I did. Ashley, who schedules appointments, is a "people person", both over the phone and in person. Any office would be lucky to have Ashley as a representative, her people skills just shine. Next, Angel took my x-rays. Angel is one of the most patient people I've ever met, I could tell she was fully dedicated to her job by the professional and caring attitude she had. Angel educated me about my teeth, and answered any questions I had thoroughly and patiently.She took thorough notes and paid attention to my concerns. I met Dr. Nejad who looked over my x-rays and discussed a treatment plan with me. As a dentist myself, I know who are the best in the business and I can honestly say that Dr. Nejad is the best. I could go to any of my colleagues but I choose to go to Dr. Nejad. He is welcoming, patient, pain-free, and an all around great guy! He took alot of time with me explaining exactly what he was doing and my filling looked great. I couldn't even tell which tooth he worked on cause it looked so good. The office is very nice and modern with a good view and natural light. My wife took a great deal of time researching, via the Internet, the right dentist for our family. When she came across Dr. Nejad we were both impressed with his background and clinical approach to dentistry - thorough and minimally evasive. My wife called his office, Meridian Dental, and was delighted to speak with Ashley to discuss what we were looking for in dental care. We were further impressed with Ashley's input and grasp of what we wanted. We made an appointment, saw Dr. Nejad and his assistant, Angel. We meet with him for two hours of uninterrupted attention. He sees only "one" patient at a time. The consultation was comprehensive and clearly demonstrated his skill, expertise and knowledge. Best dentist in the world as far as I am concerned. It is so nice to see a dentist who isn't trying to retire off of your co-payments. Dr. Najad goes above and beyond to restore your teeth to where they once were without over selling you services that you just don't need. He is meticulous in his work and a perfectionist. Dr. Parvinjah is the best dentist I've ever met! He is an excellent dentist, thoroughly explains every step of my dental plan, makes sure I am completely comfortable at every treatment and works with me on payments for my complete dental plan! By far my favorite dentist, everyone's always very nice and caring and everyone always makes sure you feel welcome. Sure enough my oxygen levels were falling to dangerously low levels at night. He made a sleep guard/appliance that eliminated my snoring, reduced restless sleeping and got my oxygen levels back to normal. From the moment I walked in, I felt I was in good hands. Dr. Abazyan took X-rays, performed a thorough examination, and clearly explained everything he found. He let me know that two of my existing fillings are still okay for now but may eventually need crowns if they fail in the future. He also found that another old filling had chipped and fallen out, allowing food to get trapped and causing my tooth pain. What impressed me most was that he was able to fix it the very same day. I didn't have to schedule another appointment or make a second trip. He took his time, made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure, and carefully polished the filling until everything felt just right. Now that the numbness has completely worn off, I can honestly say I'm amazed. Usually after dental work, I can always tell something was done--it feels different or uncomfortable for a while. But not this time. It honestly feels exactly like my own natural tooth. If I didn't know I had a filling done this morning, I wouldn't be able to tell at all. I'm not easily impressed, and I'm usually very hard to please when it comes to healthcare. That's exactly why I felt compelled to write this review. From the very beginning, Maria disregarded my stated communication preferences and avoided directly answering the pricing question. Rather than simply informing me that the office would not provide any pricing information without a consultation, I spent over a week trying to obtain a straightforward answer. What made this particularly frustrating is that several other dental offices in the area were transparent enough to provide general pricing ranges, allowing patients to make informed decisions before investing additional time and effort. Transparency matters when patients are considering significant dental procedures and expenses. Unfortunately, the lack of direct communication and repeated avoidance of a simple question left me questioning the transparency of this practice as a whole. The experience was frustrating enough that I removed this office from consideration and would not consider it for myself or my family in the future. Based on this experience, I believe the practice should reevaluate who serves as its first point of contact for prospective patients. I love coming to the dentist!…read more Dr. Hoehn has always been kind and transparent about his work. He's done so much work on my teeth and always ensures that I'm comfortable with what he's doing. I've been coming here for about 10 years now. If I have a questing, he'll break it down for me In simple terms, with kindness. Great conversations and always a pleasure. Dana always does my teeth cleaning and does fantastic at it, as well as any recommendations to better my teeth and gums. Their dental assistants are always friendly and welcoming and I love how they call me a day prior to my appointment as a reminder. Always parking available and they are always accommodating to my schedule. Thank you!

I hadn't realized that it was even possible. When she was finished I went on and on to Dr. Hoehn about how good she is. It's as if all of the other dental hygienists I have had were still figuring out how to do it. My wife doesn't want to go into the details of her unsatisfactory experiences with the dentists near us, so I'll just say that Google maps identifies 25 dental practices within 5 miles of us, but after trying some and checking others online, she prefers have me take her 17 miles to Dr. Hoehn. We started seeing him 35 years ago when he was only 5 miles away. Then he moved 90 miles to Santa Barbara and we started looking for a new dentist. We figured that there MUST be another good one within 5 miles. We were still trying to find "a good one" about a year ago, when she noticed that a "Dr. Hoehn" was practicing "only" 17 miles away. She remembered him as the best dentist she had ever had, so she called. It turned out that he had moved closer. Now we choose to see him over a hundred or more dentists that are closer. I counted the 25 dentists within 5 miles, and extrapolated that there must be AT LEAST100 [probably closer to 200] dentists closer than 17 miles from us, which makes him "1 in a 100". If you let a thousand dentist poke around in your mouth and find a better one, let me know.
