I've never been to a dental practice that has impressed me from the moment I called to the minute I left. I initially called because I went to ANOTHER Dental office the previous day to get my tooth looked at because I was in so much pain. Got an appointment from that office same day and I repeatedly told them that I'm in pain. (Not sure how ANYONE can miss that). They did the x-ray and the dentist came to look at it for a few minutes and said, "It's not swollen or cracked so we're gonna need to refer you to a specialist BUUUUUUUUUUUUT, it looks like you need a new crown, cleaning, etc." I said ok, sure i totally know I need all the things you said but I'd like to focus on the tooth that's keeping me up at night. She said sure! Then the Office Manager came out with a 2500 quote. Felt like I was buying a car and negotiating something. I told her I have insurance but their front office didn't manage to get a hold of them. She said come back tomorrow and we can do the crown, etc. Charged my card and sent me home with antibiotics. That's it. Following day, I called to follow up and they said the appointment was made to do all the other services they were selling me but the one tooth that's giving me so much pain. When I asked about that she said, "Oh that's for a specialist. We refer you out." I asked with whom and she said a root canal specialist! Last question was "So you don't want to do the other services we are selling you? Are you in pain?" I was so frustrated I called and stumbled upon this amazing woman named Jackie who listened to my plight. She offered to squeeze me in within a couple of hours. She took care of my insurance and had ZERO issues. She was so kind and understanding. It was a breath of fresh air!! Then I get to the office and met with Dr. Ju. Dr. Ju reviewed my x-rays, did the examination and recommended all the things I need to do and you know what he asked me?????????? Dr Ju said, "What would you like to focus on today?" He didn't sell me anything, he didn't scold me, he didn't try to push any other service down my throat and he listened to what I wanted done and helped me! He was AMAZING! Plus!!!!!! When he was examining me, he had the lightest touch while getting what needed to be done. I'm so impressed that I'm planning on giving him all of my business and my friends and family too! I wanted to add on to my first review here on Yelp; Dr. Ju and his team have been amazing, and after about 2 months worth of appointments my teeth and smile are perfect! They are sooo nice and listen to you and specialize in treating patients who have anxiety. I always get a blanket and dark glasses for some extra comfort (just ask! they'll happily give them to you) during my visits. He explains everything in detail and answers questions and shows you your X-rays in big photos on the wall and thoroughly explains what is going on or what needs to be done. I'm so happy with my decision to choose Dr. Ju as my new Dentist, I'll be going to him for the rest of my life lol. I have raved about this place since my first appointment to everyone i know because I've never been treated so well. With dentists in the past I've always questioned whether they had my best interest at heart. But with Dr. Kevin Ju I get a sense of security when it comes to treating my teeth. He gave me great options regarding a toothache in the back of the mouth. We consulted several times and reviewed our X-rays and scans multiple times before I committed to an implant. This was my first implant so I was a bit concerned. It couldn't have gone any smoother. All I can say is that I constantly forget that I have an implant in the back of the mouth. I recently came here for a dental check-up just last week. It honestly has been a long time coming and I was a bit nervous. However, Dr. Ju is an amazing dentist. I can see how personable and genuine he is from the moment I stepped in. He works at a one-on-one pace, and is very clear on what he was doing during my check-up. He explained everything from the X-rays, cleaning, fillings, and all. Not once did I feel unsure with what was he doing or how much it would be.
