They will not stop calling and texting and sending mail to my house. I clearly do not want to bring my child back to this office. I have the best insurance in California, I'm in a union and I do not pay a dime to go to the drs, dentist or eye dr. My first question when I call anywhere is if they are in network with my insurance. They said yes. Well they lied on the phone and when I was so confused on why I had to pay anything they said well you actually aren't in network. That's fraud. This a fraudulent place who does insurance scams and they will not stop contacting me!!! Please leave me alone. They also tried to gaslight me into saying my son had a cavity when he didn't!!!!! Been taking our kids here for years. Twice we had issues with them regarding billing due to new insurance. First time they billed us hundreds of dollars though we were in-network with Humana. It only took us reaching out to our insurance to fix the issue as the office had no interest in correcting their mistake. We stuck with them as the issue had been resolved but didn't excuse the fact they had no care to look into or further explain when we had questions. Fast forward a few years and we have a new insurance. Front desk makes no effort to explain that our insurance is not in full coverage when we spend 15 min prior to the appointment gathering info that they could look up on their end themselves. Now we receive a bill for $300 for cleanings because they only take partial, plus an additional 20% because of the "specific office location". No mention of that prior to our appointment or online via Delta Dental to corroborate what they are claiming so to me, this is just an unnecessary up charge. The receptionist, Rita, had attitude and kept repeating info with no explanation when I was asking questions regarding the bill. She was constantly coughing and sniffing over the phone--most likely sick and didn't want to deal questions prior to closing. It was obvious she couldn't care less of the situation and was not willing to further explain her 4 worded responses or even take ownership for the lack of communication that occurred. Our kids will miss the dentists they spent most of their lives visiting but we will look to another office that communicates clearly and does not make us feel like they don't care to speak to us when we have questions. read more

This is our favorite dentist of them all. We tried other practices prior to finding Simi Childrens Dental Group, but my 6 year old daughter "LOVES" coming here because they make it so much fun for her every time. Even when she needs to fill cavities from eating too much sugary foods, the dentists and entire staff are highly trained to ensure the kids never get anxious or feel a thing. Unbelievably, my child had 3 major cavities filled here recently, and she never even knew they administered anesthesia. Nothing to worry about and 0 (zero) pain. Absolutely wonderful experience! My 6 year old son has autism and can be very difficult when it comes to any kind of appointment. I put off taking him to the dentist far too long and was so nervous taking him. Today was his first time at the dentist and The SGDG staff were very kind but a special shout out to Sonia. She was so sweet and patient with my boy and you can clearly see she has a special connection with special needs children. She was able to get him to cooperate with no fuss. Just can't say enough nice things about Sonia. Then he saw Dr. Sonya (notice the "y" this time :) ) and she was amazing with him too. I am so disappointed in this dental office. I brought all 3 of my kids when they were growing up to this dental office. MY kids loved them. My son was excited that he could start taking my grand kids to this office but the customer service is severely lacking. My daughter in law called and left multiple messages as they never answered the phones. After weeks of trying to call they finally answered but they were awful on the phone. My son is taking my grand kids else where and is so disappointed as he only had wonderful experiences at this office and now he has a sour taste in his mouth due to this horrible treatment. Miss Sonia was so sweet, patient and took her time explaining everything to my daughter! She made her so comfortable that she even allowed her to do a first time teeth cleaning! We have had nothing but great experiences at Simi Children's Dental Group! Our hygienist, Sonia, was so wonderful with my 2 year old twins. She made it fun and not scary for them to have their teeth cleaned. She explained what she was going to do and demonstrated ion a stuffed toy first. I was shocked that my twin who is not cooperative at home let Sonia clean her teeth, no problem! We've been coming here since our twins were 18 months old and have had a great experience every time. I took my year and a half old to this place for the first time yesterday and it was wonderful! The friendly lovely receptionist welcomed us with a smile and was very helpful. They saw us right away and gave us the tour of the beautiful space theme clinic! Such a cool place and well organized. I wish they had such a cool kids friendly clinics when I was a child! The nurse was nice and helpful and knew how to make my kid comfortable and gave him lots of goodies. The Doctor came in quickly after to examine his teeth and was very proficient and quick since my kid hated having his teeth examined haha She took the time and answered all of my questions and made me feel like I was the only patient in the clinic. Since many places rush you out the door, this place makes you feel you are welcome. Chose this dental office since it was closest to home and had good reviews. It was my first time taking my 16 month old. Entered and checked in only to find out there was an issue with my insurance. The front desk were very helpful and offered to do a promo visit since we were already there and had made an appointment. Got a tour and I immediately loved the place and was excited for my baby. Visit was fairly quick and my baby left with a goodie bag! Only bad review I have..adults should be allowed to be patients LOL. I'm SPEECHLESS. I was dreading taking my special needs 3 year old to the dentist. I worried about it for a while, but I continued to put it off. The mom guilt set in and I knew it was time. I'm SO glad I didn't put it off any longer as my experience with the Simi Children's Dental Group was nothing short of perfect. Sonia, the Registered Dental Assistant, is an angel. I was so moved by the way she interacted with my daughter and took her time to show her all the dental equipment in a fun way. It was truly touching. She made sure my daughter was comfortable before the doctor came in for the examination. She even brought balloons and toys for my daughter to play with. She is such a special person and I hope the owner knows how lucky they are to have her part of the team. Dr. Chloe, the dentist, was equally amazing. She did not make me feel bad for putting off the dental appointment, she was great with my daughter and made the whole experience stress free and positive. I could not have picked a more perfect group of individuals to work on my daughter. I'm truly touched by this experience and it's one I'll never forget.
