This review is way overdue. I accompanied my mother for dental work to this office. I was impreesed with how gentle, kind and professional Dr. Alani was. I had a crown that was chipped and fell off. I called around and checked for price on replacing the crown and Aura Dental had the best price. The doctor did x/ray and he saw that there was an infection and I will need a root canal before replacing the crown.Prior to this problem, I had X/rays done by another dental office as part of the exam and routine prophylaxis cleaning. I was surprised that after all the x/rays done at the other dental clinic, they didn't see the infection. The prices at Aura Dental are so reasonable. I was just back today at the clinic for a dental issue. Dr. Alani did x/ray and the implants were fine. Just a little gum inflammation and prescribed an oral rinse. He is very honest. Marianne the office manager is soo kind and very pleasant to deal with. read more

Starting coming here when I lived in Simi Valley. At the time it was Dr. Vorperian, and he was amazing and life was good. He ended up transferring to the SFV, and I was seriously thinking about following him for dental needs because I enjoyed him so much as a dentist. I ended up siding with reason, skipping a commute and taking a chance with Dr. Alani. Eventually moved to Camarillo, stuck with Aura Dental, and over the last 2 years, have made 738472983 trips for either ClearCorrect for myself, or full extraction/dentures for my mom, and only a couple of times did I question my sanity. The staff is amazing. MaryAnn at the front desk is an insurance savant and a scheduling Godsend. Dental technicians are super nice and have seen it all. This is the best dental office I have been to. My previous experiences with other dentists felt like I was visiting a car dealership or passing by some of those mall kiosks who try to sell you anything to make money. I had couple of other experiences where dentists claimed that a treatment was not covered by my insurance while it was. Or added other treatments that aren't necessary nor covered. FORTUNATELY, THIS PLACE IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. These people are honest and talented. They make sure you get the right treatment and they inform you what is urgent, necessary, or recommended. Starting with scheduling my appointment, Mariam was very nice and patient over the phone. She tried her best to work with my schedule and she called when a better appointment became available. Dr. Alani and his assistants were very gentle and attentive. X-rays were taken in less than 10 minutes. And they always made sure I was comfortable or if I needed a break while receiving a treatment. So far, I had two cavities done, cleaning, and a Laser whitening. For the two cavities and cleaning, the treatment was fast and smooth. For the laser whitening, it gave me a natural white teeth look with only a slight sensitivity for less than an hour. I loved the results. Also, I had my wisdom teeth extracted which I wasn't looking forward to it at all; previous dentists have told me it was challenging and I needed to be put to sleep to take them out. But doctor Alani and his assistant made it feel like a peace of cake. I was comfortable during the extraction and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a clean, honest, and talented dentist. read more
