MY STORY: I was crying for days. I could not sleep or eat & it's been 3 days that I have been dealing with this tooth pain. I decided to walk into this dentist office since I was on my way home anyways. I was in so much pain. I remember I was crying so much. I was holding my cheek cuz I was in massive pain. I walked in there and asked if they take Medi-Cal and the lady at the front desk respectfully said yes that they do! I told her my situation and they said that they could see me TODAY! I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but, I saw the people coming in and out there while I was waiting in the waiting room filling out the paperwork and they seem so happy. When it was finally my turn I told her that I had my ID and I also let her know that I didn't have it on me but I had a picture of it. I told her I have medical Gold Coast and once I gave her the information and i was able to prove that the ID picture was me she was able to schedule me for an appointment right away not even 2 hours later I was able to see the doctor / dentist. He looked at my mouth right away and he said that he could pull out my wisdom tooth. i It was quick and professional. Once it was done I was so shocked because I expected it to be way more painful than what it was. NOT only did he numb me correctly to were I didn't feel any pain just pressure once he gave me the shots in my mouth. He was very fast and compassionate sympathetic yet serious and very respectful. I remember telling them that I was surprised about how fast it was and painless that I didn't even think they pulled the right tooth out. Lol. Once I got home and looked at my mouth I saw they pulled the right tooth out. I was so happy by the way they treated me there. They treated me like I was family there. They were very professional yet friendly and respectful. It literally felt like I was with my own family the way they cared for me. They truly seem like they cared. The fact that he was able to pull it out right away and relieve me of that pain with little to almost no swelling! I am so grateful for that dentist and I will be going there again hopefully for the rest of my life! Best dentist I've been to since I was a kid. I highly recommend this place! Very professional! NO waiting line! - NO waiting list COMPARED to the other place which was at least three-month waiting list and they wanted everything up front?! this dentist was able to do everything right there and I didn't even have to wait a day. This was my first dentist visit since moving to the LA area from San Diego, and I was honestly dreading it. Though I take diligent care of my teeth, I am extremely prone to cavities (sigh, genetics) and it always makes me anxious about dentist checkups. Everything about my experience with Aura was incredibly pleasant. I spoke with Maureen (spelling?) on the phone to make my appointment and was immediately charmed. She's incredibly friendly and very personable (we discovered quickly that her birthday is the day after mine, must be the Taurus connection). I'm always wary of finding new doctors/dentists after moving to a new area, but she eased my anxiety a great deal. The office is clean and bright with complimentary refreshments in the waiting area. Though the office was "running behind", they got me started on x-rays within ten minutes of my appointment time. Getting dental x-rays is never a pleasant experience, but they were quick and accommodating. Just a few minutes after that I was visited by the doctor (lamely, I don't know which one I had), who was mostly down-to-business but still friendly. No visible cavities according to the x-rays (relief!), but upon beginning the actual exam, the doctor found a few very tiny cavities (distress!). I spoke with Maureen about setting up an appointment for fillings as soon as possible, considering I'll be transitioning insurances at the end of the month. She said she'd do everything she could, came back a few minutes later and told me we could get the fillings done during today's visit. Enter panic mode - but I agreed. Time is of the essence upon turning 26. The assistant got me all prepped as my anxiety began to bubble, and I tearfully admitted how much I hate needles. She was incredibly understanding and comforted me with her own advice for coping with shots. The doctor came back when I was ready and provided even more comfort by telling me that only one of the cavities would require actual numbing. Bless. The shot was quick and mostly painless (in hindsight I got incredibly worked up over nothing, as I am wont to do). The fillings couldn't have taken more than five minutes, with the cleaning immediately after. All in all, this office is incredibly friendly and professional, quick and efficient, which is so appreciated. If I'm still living in Simi Valley the next time I need a cleaning, I'll certainly be returning. 10/10 would recommend. read more

If you are afraid or anxious about going to the dentist, then you need to go to Aura Dental! I have gone to many dentists on both the east and west coast over my 60 years. This is the by far the BEST dental office that I have ever visited. In the past, when I have gone to other dentists, it was mostly very stressful, indifferent visits. Not this time. I actually enjoyed my visit to Aura Dental! From the moment that I entered the office, I felt welcomed and relaxed. Maryann, the office manager personalized my FIRST visit by calling me by name, welcoming me with a heartfelt smile and by knowing the reason for my visit (a cracked tooth). She was sincere and spoke with me like we were already friends. The office was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was a tv and current magazines and assorted beverages. It did not feel like a dental office and it did not smell like one either. I also did not have to wait to be seen. Kelly, the dental assistant opened the door and said "Hi Betsy, come on in." Again, she greeted me with a sincere smile and comforting manner. She gave me an overview of my visit and asked me if I was comfortable and if I had any concerns or questions. When taking the X-rays, Kelly was always making sure that they did not pitch my gums. She made sure that I was comfortable. Dr Alani was next. Right from the start I felt a sense of trustworthiness and relaxed upon meeting him. I always follow my instincts. they have never let me down. When it was time for the numbing shot, I was stressed, which Kelly immediately sensed and calmed me with her genuine concern. Turns out I did not even feel the shot that Dr Alani gave me and my eyes did not even water! I am not sure how he did that. Weeks later, I had a sudden small dental emergency. Maryann told me to come right in even though they were very busy. I was seen within 10 minutes. Wow! As we, Dr Alani, Kelly and I briefly talked about life and family as Dr Alai was doing his preparation work, we discovered that we all had a great love for animals. I had a couple of stories of wild animals that I had rescued & Dr Alani told me about a baby squirrel and the squirrel parents that he had living in his yard at his home. The receptionist took the time to call and remind me about my appointment the day before; which I have found to be rare nowadays for Medi-cal / Denti-cal patients. The facility itself was clean, orderly, and very welcoming. I went to Aura Dental for a simple filling replacement and checkup; as my x-rays were being taken, Dr. Wesam Alani D.D.S. personally came out to shake my hand and introduce himself. He thoroughly went through my x-rays with me, and together we decided the best type of filling for my situation. Not only did he explain everything to me, but he also explained every step as he was doing it to ensure I was comfortable. I entered the dentist office nervous and skeptical; and left the office a little numb in the mouth, but happy and confident. This business was nothing but professional. I hadn't been to a dentist in 10 years and was overwhelmingly nervous about anyone going near my mouth. It's not something that we think about until going to the dentist but it makes you feel more than vulnerable. The dentist here could not have acted more professional! I felt at ease...as soon as you walk in the staff are there to greet you, they try to keep you talking so there is no time for that "dentist fear" to kick in... And the procedure was quick and thorough! The prices are very affordable as well! I highly recommend this dentist office to anyone unsure of where to go! And even those that are! Honestly, this place is great! Not only is the place extremely clean but the staff has amazing customer service! Dr. Wesam Alani is genuine and helps you throughout your visit. He has an extremely gentle touch and truly cares for his patients. He took out my wisdom teeth and made me feel very comfortable in doing this process. Also, my brother had two cavities and is very scared of needles. Dr. Wesam ensured him that it was going to be a fast and easy process, which it truly was. Honestly, the best office I've been to. If anyone is looking for a nice, clean, professional, and caring place to go, this is it. I came in as a first time patient on Thursday of this week, and I'm looking forward to my next appointment with Dr Vorperian in the next few weeks. He was honest, very respectful, and he made the work we had to do for my cavities very comfortable. I came in with a lot stains on my teeth as well, and my smile looks ten times better then before. I highly recommend choosing aura dental Maryanne their receptionest stays on top of your appointments as far as scheduling and reminders. As well as they assistants are good at making you feel comfterable and dont scold u for not doing better but encourage you to better now, Dr alani is amazing at his job, very nice guy makes sure everything is done without mistakes, definetly wont leave you in any pain. I took my daughter to see Dr. Vorperian for her teeth. I was pleasantly surprised how thorough he was. He spent a great deal of time conducting appropriate tests and more importantly properly educating me and my daughter. Very clean office, new and organized. Front staff were very receptive and warm. In addition, one is able to get appointment relatively easily. Will not hesitate to give my highest recommendation to see Dr. Vorperian and very soon I will need to see him for my teeth. Everyone here is really friendly and they do a great job on your teeth. I have been going there for a few months for xrays, fillings, cleaning and whitening and they took great care of me. My teeth are in good shape and they are sparkling white! Dr. Alani is a professional and is very friendly and patient. He makes sure to check in with you if you are feeling any pain. Hadn't been to the dentist in a while and knew my teeth needed attention. I needed a root canal on a tooth that I wasn't sure could be saved and might have to be pulled. Dr. Alani did the root canal and saved my tooth - thank goodness! Maryann, their Office Manager, is unbelievably patient and helped me understand the costs of the rest of the work I need done and is working with my busy time schedule and finances so I can get it all done. Dr. Alani is a great dentist. I went in to have a checkup done and was told I may need a root canal. Dr. Alani reassured me that he will do everything he can to prevent me from having a root canal done. I would rather have a filling than a root canal any day. Also the dental assistant Kelly was very patient with me during my x-rays.
