    We got better coverage for less money. Jeff didn't give up on finding us a great deal even though we had some challenges.

Barry was initially great about calling me as soon as I submitted an online quote request, and after a few questions over the phone, he told me he'd follow up the following day with some potential quotes. He didn't follow up the next day when he said he would; he followed up the day afterward, and told me only one insurance company he worked with would insure my house due to my two prior claims, and he named a price and said that in order to move forward that I'd need him to come by to schedule an in-person visit. I asked a few follow-up questions, since his email didn't include any details about the carrier or the type of coverage included in the price he quoted. I also had questions about what he'd be looking for on his in-person visit. Barry's email response didn't include any answers or even acknowledge my questions--only sent me a link to schedule an in-person visit. I replied again, asking for some follow-up on my questions before scheduling a visit. In response, Barry emailed back and told me that "with the information given and the pictures of your home in the trees, your higher risk property we are not able to bind coverage on at this time." This directly contradicted his previous email quoting me coverage with all the same information I'd already given. I emailed a final time asking for further clarification on what he meant by "high risk home," so I could be aware of this as I continued shopping for insurance, and Barry never responded. This entire process felt incredibly unprofessional. Barry made me feel like I was doing something wrong by asking the most basic questions--even though the entire benefit of going through an insurance broker is that they're there to help answer questions and find you appropriate coverage.     We worked with this agency for years, and that was because of the customer service provided by…read moreElise. She left, and so did the service level. From that day on, people were rude and phone calls were not returned. So, we chose to go with another provider. We called to inform Fox that we were leaving, and were asked why. We gave an honest answer, that the person that we had to deal with was awful at customer service and follow up. Two weeks later, we noticed that our insurance company had taken our direct draw for our policy, even though we had informed Fox that we were cancelling. We placed a call to Fox. The person asked when the cancellation had been made, and to whom did we speak. We told her that she was the one on the phone, so she asked our last name. When given our name, she said "Oh, you were the one that was so rude about . . .", mentioning the name of the person that we dealt with. Don't ask why someone is leaving if you don't want to know. Also, we weren't rude, in fact made a point of being very matter of fact. Even so, when we asked why our policy had not been cancelled, we were told that we did not fill out some paperwork. You never sent us any paperwork, nor did you inform us that we needed to. When we pointed that out to you, you said that you were very shaken by how rude we were and couldn't concentrate enough to do your job. Pardon me for saying this, but if you can't handle the truth and deal with it, then perhaps you are in the wrong business, and should not be dealing with the public. Again, another example of some really unprofessional customer service. So, now that we have contacted this agency, and asked again for them to take the steps to get us cancelled, the phone rings again. Now the person that we have come to dislike calls, and demands to know what problem we have with her. She defends herself by listing off the specific dates, about once a year, that she did call us. When we inform her that we aren't interested in this conversation, because in the 17 years that we have been with Fox, nobody has ever called with an opportunity for increased coverage or reduced costs, we get a sarcastic blast from her. What a waste of time. This office staff will probably tell everyone they know how much they were mistreated, how rude we were. Never once will anyone consider that they are the supplier, we are the customer, and they had an opportunity to make something right but chose to play victim. Do not utilize the services of Fox Insurance unless you want to be ignored, treated like a nuisance, or harassed when you finally do call them into account. Update - here is the entirety of the email that we just received with the attachment for the cancellation: "Here are the LPR's for ......... please fill in the date that you would like the policies canceled, it should be the same date that you started with the new company. If no date is filled in then I will use today's date." Not "I'm sorry that this didn't work out", "I'm sorry that we didn't meet your expectations", nothing of the sort.
