I came in the store in need of a tool to open my watch to replace the battery, I had already bought the battery myself just wanted to see if he would let me borrow his wrench for 30 seconds. He proceeded to tell me no, he's in business to make money and "you don't go to a mechanic and ask if they could take apart your engine for free." I asked how much he said 18$, I said okay, (again all I needed was the watch case wrench to open the watch, takes 30 seconds) he said I can't do it today you can pay and leave it here, I have all these other customers that came in here before you (pointing at the watches on his counter.) I left the store with a bad smell in my nose because it stinks in his store, and a bad taste in my mouth about his attitude. I went down the street to harbor freight and bought the tool for $5.27 to do it myself. Had he of had a better attitude there is a much higher chance I would come back when I actually need my watches fixed versus just a simple 30 second borrow of a tool. I would have even paid the 18$ to borrow the tool but his customer service is absolute doggy doodoo. Would never ever ever come to this man's shop. read more

I had several watches in need of a battery replacement and found this spot on Yelp. I contacted the owner and inquired about the service. He quoted prices and said he would be able to assist. I appreciated his fair prices and fast service but as other Yelpers mentioned, just call ahead. Especially with COVID, the owner is accepting contact-less repairs so be prepared to leave your watches along with your information. He is very good at communicating about the repair status or even when he is out to lunch, so you won't miss him if you leave him your number! He repaired 3 of my watches, (Guess, Marc Jacobs & Baby G) and even gave me the email link to the Tissot service center since that model requires some special tool to open. Even though it's the age of the phone, I still like having my watch. I hadn't worn it in years because the battery died, and I hadn't found the time to replace it. I put my watch in the car on the off chance I found a place to fix it. After getting my hair cut today, I did a search for watch repair and was surprised to find out all I needed to do was to walk across the street! The owner was busy when I got there but he didn't hesitate to work me in since I don't live nearby. I tried to shop locally for a replacement band for my Seiko watch and found the Meridian Watch repair shop, I just drove there and was greeted by a very rude man. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" he said, so I pulled out my broken watch strap out of my pocket and showed it to him and before I could speak he yelled, "What does that mean?", I figured it was obvious that anyone could determine the cause of the problem, but not him, hopefully he gets some anger management lessons or better yet some medication and perhaps some very valuable customer service training. I took my watch in to get fixed. The owner asked a few questions, then told me to try resetting it after charging it more. He said, "I can do it for you, but you can easily do this at home." Sure enough, it worked like a charm. I was clueless walking in. He could have told me that it would be 2 weeks and $75 and I would have believed him. Bill is an honest profesional who does exceptional work. I took a keepsake (watch) of great personal value in for repair. When it's time to replace the battery or something is wrong, I get all sorts of anxious because I know my watch is difficult to do any repairs on. Mainstream jewellery, watch stores and small repair stores have been unable to perform any maintenance/repairs (not that they didn't try. I often saw them sweating as they tried hard to even get it open but to no avail). Bill, was able to do everything needed in an incredibly timely manner. After notifying me that he had completed the services on my watch, he took the time to explain/break down what had been done.
