I came here with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised how good these guys were. They said my sample size was too small and sent me back which is the right thing to do because the other store didn't do that. So I came back with larger sample and Trevor made the paint and made me feel better about the whole process that things will only get better from here. When I came back home and applied the paint for the spots on my walls, it was an exact match. What a difference it makes when people do their jobs to the best of their abilities. I get it that the older man in the shop could come across cranky but he's the one who sent me back home to get a larger sample because of which Trevor made me the perfect paint. Overall, good customer service and extremely straightforward. Glad they're in the neighborhood. They're also reasonably priced compared to the other paint store I went to. Today (2020-01-29) they cost $80 (limit 1 box per person). The 3M brand costs $12 each (normally $6 each). The staff seem very nice and honest. They explained that their suppliers keep raising prices so they have to raise prices. They said there will be no more available tomorrow onward! I also bought a pack of 5 without valve for $20. They also ran out of hand sanitizer so they had to hunt for them today. They only have 20 left. A 118mL bottle cost $5 each which isn't inflated.

They also keep all your paint colours on their computer listed by address then by the room. So I can call in and ask, 'what colour did I used at soandso's, in the master bedroom and basement?' While discussing with my partner how many keys we needed. a very rude skinny man with a baseball cap on basically told me to shut up as "he" could only talk with one person at a time. I had to bite my tongue as I wanted to call him out on his rudeness. He took the keys and seemed to be having a hard time creating duplicates for us. Finally he gave us our keys, we paid and left. On getting home, four of the six keys were not cut properly and did not work in their locks. I called the store and guess who answered? Yep, this rude individual who now started interrupting me; Not letting me speak. "Just bring them back. I don't need to hear what your saying. I might not be here anyway". I was simply buying screws to attach legs to a table top. I explained that the table top was about 1.0-1.5 inches thick (so I would need screws that are shorter than this). The staff person, a thin guy, maybe 40 yrs old, wearing a baseball cap and a goatee, kept giving me ridiculously long screws, as if he wasn't listening to me at all OR deliberately messing with me. He gave me 4 inch, then 3.5 inch, then 3 inch, then 2.5 inch, then 2 inch screws, even after clearly showing him the thickness of the table top on a ruler that was right in front of him. Moreover, his manner was despicably rude and condescending, sneering every time I said I needed something shorter. Feeling pressured to just get out of there, I ended up buying screws that are probably too long. This person should not be in a customer service role at all! Indeed, he should be terminated as soon as possible! As another recent reviewer noted, it's "not the Dudley's it used to be."

I went to the Benjamin Store on Langstaff (near Weston Rd) and the same can was $11....and at the Benjamin Moore store on Bathurst near Major Mac they were $8.99. Huge savings here. Access Ito the lot when driving east on Steeles is odd (as its a curved entrance for those people travelling west), but further down there's another entrance. The staff members I've interacted with have been stellar...from the consultant who works in the paint section to the staff at the counters...all have customer skills down pat. This is now my preferred location to purchase paint.
