More than anything, I wanted to see how nail salons were changing and adapting due to Covid-19. I was happy to receive a confirmation text that explained the precautions they were taking and what I was to expect during my visit as a client; this put me quite se ease. They told me to have a mask on and wait in my car until they texted me to let me know my technician was ready. I'm glad I remembered my mask! I noticed that clients weren't allowed to touch nail polishes, you would point to bottle and technician would take bottles and place them at your service station. The no touching anything made me very happy. That means they are being extra cautious. My technician was also wearing gloves, a mask, and shield during the whole service. It seemed uncomfortable but definitely necessary. I was very happy with my service overall. Brenda, my nail technician was very attentive and thorough. There was a mis communication, I had booked time for a mani/pedi and told them I'd need extra time because of the condition of my nails but I was only scheduled for pedi. As soon as Brenda made them aware of the situation they did re-arrange the schedule and gave me extra time. I paid 80.00 dollars for my service and I was very pleased. Good service takes time, care, and extra attention. These ladies know how to take care of you. La Posada Spa offers CND products which I learned from my regular nail expert Michelle at Pewter Nails in Reno are the best. Thank you Brenda and thank you La Posada Spa. I came here for my SIL's bridal party mani/pedi on the weekend of 3/26/2021. There were five of us…read moreand we arrived 10 mins before the appointment time at 1 pm. My SIL chose this salon because of the wonderful and rave reviews. This event and appointment had been planned for weeks and my SIL was assured by the owner that we would be accomodated. However it was not the bridal party mani/pedi experience that we had anticipated because they did not have enough techs ready. So it was very dissapointing to be taken back, one person at a time, all of us being very far from the bride and each other. Each person got done at different times, about 20-30 mins apart. I was the last person to get my mani/pedi. I was there from 1 pm until 5 pm. I love getting mani/pedis but I don't think anyone would want to spend 4 hours sitting at a salon for a mani/pedi. I believe the owner did my pedicure, I forgot her name, but she was very kind and did my nails beatifuly. I would only suggest less phone calls and appointment making when attending a customer because she answered the phone at least 5 times and had her calendar next to her; jotting down dates, canceling, answering questions, getting up and helping the other techs. It was distracting and made for a longer pedicure when I had already been waiting for 2 hours. I would recommend everyone ask for quotes or clarification of prices upon arrival because what I paid was much higher than the fees that were on the board on the wall. I paid $350+ for three people. Many of these salons do not give an itemized receipt so many customers do not see what they are paying for and why the simple mani or pedi they thought they were paying for is suddenly $10-$20 more. And yes, they will always try to upsell, but I have learned that saying NO gently and firmly is the best policy. Their nail fees are the same as everywhere else. In conclusion, I would not mind coming back again by myself and ensure that I have the entire morning or afternoon available to stay longer.
