I've never been disappointed when I go get my nails done! Sapphire Nails and Spa is my go to for nails!!

I don't usually post reviews but I swear Jenni from Sapphire is bomb. I've had so many bad experiences at other places. It's always that they are so rushed, don't pay attention to details, hurt my cuticles, or even when they take them off they damage my nail beds that I don't even go out to get my nails done. She took so much time and paid attention to the details. Sometimes getting white nails can be a hit or miss but she nailed it. If y'all go, you need to ask for Jenni. Also, I'm not much of a talker because of social anxiety haha (unless needed) and she totally fit the vibe and did her thing. read more

Mixed feelings with this review. I have been going to this spa for 3-4 months now. I usually have a good experience, especially with my manicures. I get dip and recently started doing acrylic. My techs have always been meticulous and diligent. They haven't (knock on wood) cut me with the grinder. I've had 3 pedicures here. The first ones were good. The techs took their time and didn't skip steps. But this last time was pretty bad. It was the first pedicure where I've ever bled! The tech cut both my big toes and one of my little toes. She was very rushed and did not use cuticle cream to loosen up my cuticles. She did not even apologize or address it. Just kept trying to stop the bleeding by rubbing the towel on it. Usually, when I am cut at the nail salon, there's an antiseptic that they place on it. I asked for it, but she did not know what I was talking about. Now I am so scared to get an infection!! I ran home and washed my toes and put Neosporin. What's worse is I was still bleeding when I walked out of the salon! I'm horrified that she would use the nail polish (that everyone uses) on my bloody toes. Ew! The rest of the pedicure was rushed. I had chosen the Green tea pedicure ($65) and it took 45 min. How are the other pedicures longer than that one? I felt very cheated. 5 min massage and she didn't even use the cream on my whole lower leg, just mid calf. I did not leave a good tip. I'm not sure if I will return to get a pedicure again. I guess it will depend on the tech. I did not get her name, but I will remember her face. read more

You will not regret it! Great service with the $55 pedicure package (includes neck warmer, scrub, paraffin wax, warm rock massage and warm towels). Ask for Mirna, she was AMAZING and gives you time to relax. Oh massage chair are fully functional located toward the back where it is nice and dim (perfect for napping), tools are sterilized, and you get new pumice rock. read more

Mixed review. Had a pedi for the 1st time there, chose the $45 one (to treat myself since it's been awhile). Was nice but didn't expect the $15 up charge for a "gel" color I chose. (If I knew that I would have chosen just a standard OPI color or similar.) Also got a full set of (dip) nails, ($55, w/tips on) Mariana & Arse are both very good nail techs. Prices here are as much as Dallas & San Antonio, so check the prices, choices! Need to work on their customer service a bit, check-in was not that friendly. read more

The only reason im giving 2 stars and not 1 is because My pedicure lady was good, she took her time and cleaned my nails well. Now the manicure lady is a different story. She just rushed me, some small talk. I paid extra for the manicure (cleaning) which i never knew was separate from the gel/dip service you want. And in the end she didnt even clean my nails well! She needs to chill and focus on the customer she has in front of her, instead of rushing and making a customer feel neglected, if she expects a tip. read more

I'm writing this on behalf of my mom who had the WORST experience there. My mom arrived to get a pedicure and they took about 15 minutes to seat her. They turned on the water and seated her in a pedicure station. They turned on the water and left. After waiting for 45 minutes my mom noticed that other people would come in for manicures AS WELL AS pedicures and they'd get seated right away and actually got WORKED ON right away. My mom asked what was going on as multiple customers who were WALK INS also just got taken care of right away. The lady asked one of them to help my mom and she was clearly upset and started arguing with her not wanting to help my mom. My mom was so humiliated and got out of the station and left. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER DO NOT COME HERE!! If you don't believe me, check out these reviews on their Facebook page. Doing this even to ONE client is bad enough. Honestly horrible. read more

BLACKS ARE NOT WELCOMED!! If you're Black DO NOT go to this salon. It's obvious Black people aren't welcomed. When I walked in, every nail tech looked at me like I had three heads. They all stared at me like I was the first Black person they saw in real life. The Asian woman greeted the non Black customer in front of me with, "Hi. How can I help you?" I, on the other hand was asked, "Are you looking for someone?" Im sure she wanted to point me to the 'Colored Only' nail salons. I would give zero stars if possible; Would not recommend. read more

I'm a regular at this nail salon! I go at least once a month. It's clean and relaxing. The prices are reasonable. I've had manicures, acrylic overlays, and pedicures. At check-in I always select next available technician, and they have all done a good job. I highly recommend Sapphire Nails if you're looking for a reliable nail salon. read more

My first experience here was pleasant. Very very clean! Just a couple reasons why I couldn't give the spa five stars.. pedicure was a little rough on the cuticles and the woman doing my manicure was answering phone calls and scheduling, so it felt rushed. Sns powder on my fingernails turned out great though. UPDATE: went back for another mani/pedi.. and it will be my last time there. Had to change my review from 4 stars to 2. My nails look good, but my cuticles are literally sore to the touch. I thought they were a little rough last time, but now I know they are TOO ROUGH. I can't even wash my hands without my cuticles burning. On top I was there for 2 hours for a basic pedicure & powder dip "manicure" which they only painted my nails that's it. read more

I was recommended this place by my cousin and the wait is worth it. I just walked in and the lady said it'll be an hour. My friend and I went to tj maxx to help time fly by. They ended up calling us 15 mins after that and took 20 mins after they sat us down to get our toes done. My nail tech lady was Shannon. She was super caring and very light handed. Very sweet person and great attention to detail. My friend was with Cyan. Cyan was such nice lady. I really enjoyed doing pedicure with her. When I say my pedicure was perfect, I mean it was PERFECT. Just did the Deluxe pedi with my mother and we're both really glad we decided to come here. All the workers were very friendly and gentle and took their time to make sure they did a good job. Jessica and Tracy did an amazing job, we will absolutely be back again. We arrived just after opening on a tuesday morning and we were the only two guests there; in all it took between 45 min and 1.5 hours. I was ready to fall asleep by the time I was done because it was so soothing. They have tons of stations for both manis and pedis and it's very very nice and clean. Walked in at 9:45 and needed 3 basic pedicures and a kids' finger/toe-nails painted. Got us started within 5 minutes. Tech wore gloves and was friendly. When my pedi was finished, she took my daughter to paint her finger/toe-nails. All of us were finished within the hour. Very clean and efficient run nail shop. read more

This is my go to place for my pedicures and manicures. The owners are super sweet and so hardworking! Everyone that works there are literally so sweet and kind. Fast service unless it's super busy, but in general they'll get to you as fast as they possibly can and always reassure you about the waiting time and apologize in advance. Love this place! This is one of the most high quality nail salons I've been to. Everything was very CLEAN and professional looking. The pedicure chairs were comfortable and worked well. They were very hygienic with the pedicures using plastic basin covers, personal sanitized tools and wore gloves while performing the pedicure. They have a menu and options for every service and prices were very reasonable. Their manicure area was stylish and comfortable with a long nail bar rather than multiple stations. I can't say much negative except a few things were different that from my manicure back home. But maybe they don't do hand massages and hot towels at the end here. Diana the owner has repeatedly made my Mom and I wait multiple times for more than an hour, without giving me an update on how much longer the wait will be or even to let us know that the girls we see have clients and that there will be a wait time. This is something that anyone who has been in customer service or even just a customer knows is basic customer service etiquette and courtesy. She consistently passes us up being that we have been repeat customers for more than two years. We both have our go to girls who are amazing but, she gives them other clients being that we were there already waiting to see them. She is unwelcoming and does not create a relaxing and friendly environment with her attitude. It's disappointing to see how she has poorly been managing and handling her clients as she is lacking in customer service skills. I've let it go multiple times before because my Mom has been with me and do not want for her to have a bad experience by me getting upset or speaking up to say something but this time she was not able to join me so I went alone and waited for an hour only for Diana to tell me that my bail tech who had been doing a pedicure still had a refill to do after already having asked me to sit at her chair. I get it it gets busy but have the courtesy and decency to let me know where I stand instead of stringing me along telling me I was already next. It's simply unacceptable. read more

Sapphire is a brand new nail salon located in North McAllen in the Trenton View Shopping Center next to the Coldstone Creamery. The ambience is very peaceful and calming; a perfect place to escape the world for a bit and pamper yourself! My sisters and I all met up for pedicures on a Thursday afternoon. I opted for the deluxe pedicure which includes a foot and leg scrub of your choice (lavender scented was my choice!) and a wax paraffin dip OR leg mask. It was so luxurious! One thing I will say is don't expect to be out of here in 20 minutes; these ladies really take their time with you! I have not yet had the opportunity to try a manicure here but my sister loved hers! I can't wait to try some of the other services this high end nail salon has to offer! read more

Leaving a 4 star review because of the first experience I had there (almost a year ago). I got dip powder ombre nails and was VERY pleased. She did an amazing job and I don't remember waiting long. I left as a happy customer However, I just went again today and was extremely disappointed, hence not giving a five star review. They were really busy so I expected to wait, I probably waiting about 30-45 min before my name was called and once I was seated, I waited another 30 min until someone finally started working on me. I'd love to say the wait was worth it, but the pedicure was mediocre. My partner and I typically go to another salon in town but have come to Sapphire in the past and really enjoyed it so we decided to visit again. In the past, he and I will get pedicures while they work on my manicure as well. This time I waited over an hour between our pedicures being done and anyone even realizing no one had started on my hands. My partner had left to give me some time while I got my manicure but I had to get up and walk to the front and ask if I needed to sign in again for my manicure because I had requested a service and no one had addressed me. Needless to say, I was there for a total of three plus hours (it was almost two hours past closing time) getting this done. My partner and I are HUGE tippers and still took care of our technicians but I strongly disapprove of the owner who I saw walking back and forth ignoring me as a client when she was very capable of taking over the service I required (which I had requested from the moment I walked in). She was very rude and dismissive. I typically don't make these upsetting reviews but one of the technicians who noticed felt worse than I did about my neglect and suggested I made the review because she knew it was not respectable nor considerate of the owner to ignore clients who were awaiting a service she was very capable of addressing (her as a technician/owner). I wish I didn't have to badmouth the place but if management is the issue you know the business will always be flawed. read more

I have gone here before and had good experiences, but my last visit was a disaster. I went early for a manicure and pedicure, and while in the waiting room, I went to the lady's room and they sat everyone while I was away. I returned to the waiting room, and the my never called my name. They called people who arrived after me. Once bringing to the lady (with the list) attention, she blamed it on the young man for not realizing I went to the bathroom. I waited two hours before getting attended, and I kept telling the young man that I was seated after several people who arrived after me, but they still attended me after all those individuals. I was late to my hair appointment, and this made me late to get my make up done for the wedding I was in that evening. I don't recommend this place if your in a time crunch, they could care less about your time and very inconsiderate and don't respect the fact that they messed up. read more

The quality of the product is good, but one finger nail came out crooked after the experience was over. After sitting there for a long time, I was tired and just ready to leave. I convinced myself it wasn't worth sitting there longer to have it replaced. I went in for dip, but was told acrylic was better. My nail tech was nice, a little on the high-maintenance side, but nice nonetheless. If you are going to talk about your skills and top-performance throughout the manicure and then charge me for it; expect that I'm going to hold you to it. Hence the 3 stars. The color I chose was pretty, my toes matched perfectly, but only 9 out of 10 fingernails were done right. The most impressive part about this place is their actually have pedicure colors to match their powders! Per my technician, they charge more than other places, because of their expertise. So don't expect to pay prices comparable to other places in the RGV. I may try this place again... we'll see. I'm not sure I'm 100% convinced yet. But, I do believe in second chances. read more

Absolutely the best nail service (gel powder/dip) I have ever had. Also has the largest selection of powder colors I have seen. I was just passing through from Florida and sadly did not get the tech's name, however I think she may have been the owner/manager. She was extremely detailed - a perfectionist. Made sure my nails were shaped to my liking and perfectly matched on each side. Also checked several times in the process to make sure they were smooth underneath and at the cuticle. I had an amazing experience here! The wait was only about 3 minutes. And I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Erica! I got a pedicure. (The classic in case your wondering) She took her time and made me feel like I was a priority. At other salons I feel that they just rush through your nails to get to the next person. But with her she took her time and make my feet look amazing. (They were pretty bad..) the water was the perfect temperature. And she was not too rough. Nails lasted less than a week for $65. This has happened more than once. This business has decline dramatically over the years.

My pedicure was fine but the manicure was a total disaster. I picked an SNS color the manicurist said would match my pedicure color... after I was done getting my pedicure I go to get my manicure done and they tell me they don't have the color I chose. So I have to chose a different SNS color. After they are done with the SNS manicure the color looks absolutely NOTHING like the sample color I had chosen... the manicurist said she didn't know why it turned out totally different. They offered to put the shellac on top of it so it will look more similar to my pedicure and actual sample color I had chosen. I told them I was worried about the shellac not adhering to the SNS nails and they said that shouldn't be a problem yet here I am not even a day later and my shellac is starting to peel off. Since it's Shellac on top of SNS my nails look thick which is not the look I was going for. Also I wanted my nails to be shorter but the tech said that wasn't possible with almond shaped nails even though I have gotten it done perfectly fine at a different salon. I'm also pretty sure they charged me for both the SNS and the shellac even though they misrepresented the SNS color. To top it off: my fingers hurt because the manicurist literally drilled off my entire cuticle. She actually did this AFTER they dipped my nails in SNS so it looks like my nails have already grown out. The atmosphere is nice and there are some good people working there but my experience (with the manicure in particular) was one of the worst I've ever had. read more

I come from Houston and I decided to check this place out since it had great reviews, but it's pretty average. When you walk in the salon is set up beautifully and the employees were attentive, but the deluxe pedicures that I got for my mom and I were average at best. The package comes with a massage which lasted at most maybe 3 minutes, and they did not have the wax that was included available. It's a decent location overall. read more

I've given this place two chances to prove me wrong about the first horrible experience I had and nothing changed. I went in to get a pedicure and manicure and the girl who did my pedicure did amazing. My feet look pretty BUT I wanted the same red for my nails as well and she said okay and when she proceeded to do my nails it was horrible. She cut 3 of my fingers. The red is DARK RED when the red on my toes are lighter and I got up from the chair looking like I needed a refill and thankfully the manager saved my nails when I complained. I woke up this morning and my fingers are so sore. My natural nails now look horrible. It was just an overall horrible experience. Never again. 3+ hours and my nails look like I did them. read more

I've finally found a nail salon I'll come back to when visiting my family for the weekend. I actually loved it, and the nail tech, Kim, was absolutely amazing.
