Signed in 2021, still no pool. Stole thousands of dollars from us and tens of thousands from many many other clients. I have spoken to several of their contractors and they have not been paid for their work. Very unprofessional team first starting with the ring leader DB Jared Hall. Then his puppets, Ryan, Cooper and his wife Megan. Terrible people. I could share emails with them showing their true colors but there are too many swear words used. THEY HAVE INFORMED US THAT THEY HAVE GONE OUT OF BUSINESS AS OF 11-25-2022. So now we'll have to pay another company $15-20K to finish their shotty work. They need to be locked up and promised a release date only to be held for several more months like they did to their clients. read more

Do NOT waste your time & $ with Merlux. Like other reviews timelines were approaching a year before we replaced them, customer service is horrible, the pool ended up being above ground with thousands of $'s for work arounds to cover exposed pool, the spa spill over is uneven and only flows on one side, waterfall already has leaks. We paid over $10,000 of workarounds where they refused to complete work. Consequently we had to pay our new pool company to complete work already paid for. We went to speak in person and we're greeted with hostility and was thrown out of their office by the co-owner! They didn't offer any compensation for our losses. We're now having to pay legal fees to recoup our losses. A MESS! If you want a credible pool company I highly recommend CRYSTAL WATER POOLS. read more

My advice from an actual Merlux customer to others: save yourself the year-long headache, stress, and frustration of dealing with this company. When we signed our contract with Merlux in early November 2021, I never imagined it would be a year later and we still wouldn't have a completed project. We had high expectations for Merlux based on the luxury experience they advertise and would've never imagined we'd struggle to even get responses from a company who has tens of thousands of dollars of our money. We had a conversation with Merlux in early spring about having the pool done in May and were told early May would be a stretch but a completed project by Memorial Day would be no problem. Halloween is in a couple days and the project remains unfinished. Things were fine in the beginning - minor hiccups here or there, but we are reasonable people who understand things happen in the construction world. However, as time went on, the excuses and delays continued to increase. We had a call with the company's leadership in May which led to some improvements but the delays and excuses soon returned. Throughout the project, labor shortages, supply chain issues, and a large project with an outdoor kitchen have all been excuses we regularly received. However, this project has already taken twice as long as it took to build our entire house during the same labor and supply chain market. Additionally, several commercial pools have been completed at my job throughout this timeframe while we continue to receive excuses. We've been told for months they can't get in touch with their electrician. How many electricians do you know that take months to complete a simple job? We signed a contract saying the average swimming pool takes 8-16 weeks. Giving 4 weeks grace to build an outdoor kitchen in addition to the pool, we're still well over double the average expected time on one of the driest summers in history where weather can't be used as an excuse. We've messaged in the project app, texted, and emailed a formal complaint based on the contract, and the company has consistently failed to respond and properly address our concerns. This project has left us feeling disrespected and hopeless, and like our time, money, stress, and frustration don't matter. This project has also made us feel there is a lack of empathy and concern to get jobs finished after collecting payment. Long story short, before you select your pool company, ask them in writing how long their jobs take and how quickly their vendors respond to them. There are a lot of pool companies in DFW who can do quality work - find one that respects your time and cares about finishing jobs. read more

Ignore the fake positive reviews they have generated on Google. Do yourselves a favor and definitely dig deeper. All of Merlux's unhappy customers have all rallied together and the truth is, we are ALL in the same situation. Everyone is retaining attorneys, everyone is sending demand letters and everyone is tired of their dishonesty and lack of respect and integrity. The owners can buy new cars, shop at high end shops and host lavish parties and post all about them on social media, but can't manage their business finances. They lie about these equipment shortages and the truth is, several of us have called their supplier and they have assured us that they have the equipment in stock. I truly hoped and wished that after our phone conference we would see a change. Unfortunately, nothing has changed and we are still getting the runaround. We signed in Dec of 2021. Almost a year later and we still don't have a pool. At this point, we just want to hire another company to finish the project but we are now having to hire legal counsel like several others. I truly encourage everyone considering this company to dig and do research. Reach out to those who have given negative reviews. They'll lead you to a group of customers who Merlux has screwed over. Does not even deserve one star. Unprofessional owners. Our simple small pool with no hot tub is 8 months and is not complete. We are now arguing over the horrible job they did on our decking. They told us from the very beginning they could match our existing concrete. They decided to cut corners and have a project manager come out and paint on a stain. You can not paint stain for color concrete. It's not the right way to to the process and the color is way off. After waiting months for them to fix it they came with a vendor that has very limited color selections which none match our existing color so the only way to get them to match is for us to come out of pocket $3500 in addition to the fact we have paid in full abs the project is not complete. They lie to cover up their inaccuracies and when I tell the owner I have texts to prove it he does not care. Refuses to fix it. Horrible company. Don't be taken advantage by them. read more
